The Swamp

by John McCormick

It must be city elected official endorsement day over at Obama campaign headquarters.

First, the announcement arrived earlier this morning of an endorsement by the mayor of Durham, North Carolina, where the Illinois senator is expected to campaign and raise money tonight.

Now, the campaign says a large group of Chicago aldermen are following the lead of Mayor Richard Daley and also endorsing Obama. The news release says the endorsement represents a unanimous endorsement of Obama by the city council's African-American aldermen.

The names of the alderman endorsing Obama, as provide by the campaign, are listed below the jump.

Ald. Pat Dowell
Ald. Toni Preckwinkle
Ald. Leslie Hairston
Ald. Fredrenna Lyle
Ald. Sandi Jackson
Ald. Michelle Harris
Ald. Anthony Beale
Ald. Toni Foulkes
Ald. Joann Thompson
Ald. Latasha Thomas
Ald. Lona Lane
Ald. Willie Cochran
Ald. Howard Brookins
Ald. Sharon Denise Dixon
Ald. Walter Burnett
Ald. Ed Smith
Ald. Ike Carrothers
Ald. Carrie Austin

These aldermen must have all seen Hillary disintegrate before tough questioning at the debate night before last. What a meltdown. She did not have a coherent
answer for anything. And she looked totally frazzled. Can you imagine her in
negotiations with Putin or Chavez? This is like the dance of the seven veils of obfuscation and she's down to the last veil.

Well Major Daley is not Black!! And Obama did not get 37 million from black people to run for president. You just want to start anything you can to make sure Obama is not elected for president.

We'll try this again:

Wow, what big news this is!!!

Yaaaawwwnnnn!!!!

Cute post names, Bruce.

Speaking of IL politics, it seems there is only ONE politician who is on their way to Federal Prison (Nov. 7) and that would be REPUBLICAN Gov. George Ryan.

Mega-dittos to John D. Yaaaawww!!!! If Obama played the race card like Hillary/Bill is trying to play the woman card, he would raise the ire of every voter. But he has not and should not. He has kept his campaign on issues that matter to everybody and thus has a wide appeal to a wide spectrum of people. Hillary/Bill is even able to play the race card in ways that B.O. can't without ruffling feathers. For example, she can use the I'm little Eva of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" fame approach. This approach can garner the support of all African-Americans who feel that B.O. is not ready and are Backing Hillary/Bill, [this includes a lot of prominent political leaders in Congress. The Chicago Aldermen and women are showing a great deal of loyalty to their Senator and one would expect that to happen.

Well did any white or Latino aldermen endorse him?

Oh, and I must say it's big Alderman Dowell to endorse him, given that he endorsed that political hack Dorothy Tillman over this well-qualified woman.

This is great news! Why hasn't it been anywhere else? Why is it Hillary's and Edwards' endorsements jump out on every top news website the minute it hits and Obama's endorsements are only seen after 'stumbling' upon them? Where's the fairness?

Since the not-yet-in-a-straghtjacket "John E." is willing to lie about unimportant me posting emails under names like "Shandra", just imagine how much he's willing to lie about important things such as politics.

Bruce, let's not forget that John E. posts under several different names in here, including as me.
Also, let's remember that in October 2006, John E said his "son" was in Iraq and that the Pentagon sent him a letter telling him he was being re-enlisted and would be in Iraq by February.

Can you post PROOF that his son isn't in Iraq?

Yes, "John D" tell "Bruce" all about it. Oh wait, he's got all the facts down. No need to cross check those notes between you guys or remind your personal secretary "Bruce" of today's schedule either. Remember he does all the work. Nice to see you recognize that, however. Bruce, however, you might want to remind John D to take it easy on those meds; he just can't get over the fact John E his best friend might have served in Iraq without him.

Big Dawg-- I do not know what you are talking about because Alderwoman Dowell is black!!!
