TODAY ON THE RADIO 88.1 FM WYPR
Noon-1:00 pm Easterm: In order to study police socialization for his Harvard Ph.D., Peter Moskos became a cop and spent a year working in Baltimore’s Eastern District, the city's most violent and the focus of new attention because of July's multiple shootings. Moskos wrote a book about his experience: Cop in the Hood: My Year Policing Baltimore's Eastern District. He joins me in Studio A to discuss his experiences. Moskos is assistant professor of law, police science and criminal justice administration at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and at the City University of New York's Doctoral Program in Sociology.
