Busy weekend for Coast Guard

This past weekend, the U.S. Coast Guard unsuccessfully searched for a man overboard from a Seattle fishing trawler in the 43-degree Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska. On Saturday, in the same frigid sea, a Coast Guard helicopter crew rescued a French kayaker who became fatigued in rough waters during his quest to circumnavigate the world. The Coast Guard helped locate four recreational fishermen whose boat had capsized in Lake Erie. It searched for a teenager who had been jet-skiing in a river near North Carolina's Pamlico Sound. A Coast Guard helicopter crew out of Atlantic City transported a 58-year-old man from a boat 14 miles off the New Jersey shore after he apparently suffered a diabetic seizure. It was another busy weekend for the U.S. Coast Guard.
