The English language keeps growing. It is certainly the world's most fertile language, and Paul Payack, who keeps track of such things, says only 1,294 more words are needed to reach the One Millionth mark. Payack's Global Language Monitor counts new words and phrases. His organization has developed a computer-based system for deeming a word new and established and worthy of placement in English's great organic dictionary. . . .
