Slots -- up or down?

If you had to vote today on a constitutional ammendment allowing slot machine gambling in Maryland -- and the 15,000 slot machines authorized by the General Assembly -- how would you vote, and why?

Let's hear from you. Post a vote and comment on this blog today, or drop me a line at the radio show: midday@wypr.org. We can read your comments on the air. Both sides in the brewing slots war get some time in the first hour of Midday today, starting at noon.

Comments

No. Depending upon gambling to finance the state is poor, poor economic judgement. Gambling does not enhance the quality of life in any state in which it's legalized.

A Double No for the constitutional amendment business.
