RIP Little Tavern

A reader named German writes: "RIP Little Tavern    1927-2008     Al Wroy closed the last one in Dundalk yesterday at 1 PM.  Sorry to see it go!  I will miss those tasty little burgers.  I made a trip from Philadelphia a few times a year just to 'buy'em by the bag!'  Good bye for now, hopefully something is in the works to bring it back."

Now the only place left to buy anything close is the Laurel Tavern Donuts shop on Rt. 1 at the site of the Laurel Little Tavern.

It's not the same without the counter seating, though.

If they still have the decor, they should rip it out and set one up down at the Inner Harbor--that would be better than the rest of the crap they serve down at that food court

Dan - Nothing beats the 3 burger lunch - except possibly the 6 burger dinner! We lost a slice of Baltimore and Americana with the closing of the Dundalk Little tavern yesterday. The one in Laurel still has the same red head working the counter and making the burgers that was there 10 years ago, so to me there still is a way to get your Little Tavern fix, but I undestand and agree that it's not the same.

Cheap, affordable, tasty quaint, and stylish. The closing in Dundalk marks the end of an era. It's not just my cardiologist who's crying today.

I grew up in Dundalk and now live in Minnesota. There are White Castles here which are almost a Club LT. What is going to be the next to go? Captain Harvey's, Jimmy's or Squires?

All and all it's a sad day.

It is a sad day that Little Tavern is gone.. BUT! fret not- if you want some old school burger action- head to Stewart's on Pulaski Hwy!
