Travolta: Scientology has helped us with son's death
Days after flying a planeload of supplies and Scientologists to Haiti, John Travolta spoke about how faith in the controversial religion helped his family to deal with the death last year of his 16-year-old son, Jett.
"We work hard every day with our church on healing," Travolta told the Associated Press, though he did not mention Scientology by name. "And Kelly and I and Ella have all been working very hard and they've been helping us," he said, referring to himself, wife Kelly Preston and their daughter.
Asked by AP writer Rob Merrill what gave him the strength to return to his movie career, Travolta said, "Once you get yourself stable, then you're able to reach out again, you know, and I think this whole year every day we've been working on stabilizing ourselves and it's been successful so far."

Where I didn't lose a child, the powerful technology of Scientology was innately instrumental to fully discovering and resolving the *ACTUAL CORE* reasons which, for a very long time, barred my wife and I from truly being happy!! Beyond any doubts, anyway can live a happy life. I am eternally grateful for Mr. Hubbard's teachings and position to help mankind.

Listening to Scientology is like listening to an infomercial. You can believe it will cure your problems, and your faith in it may help you somewhat, but that doesnt mean it is coming from God and it wont necessarily cure your problems. People who talk to their pets probably feel more relief than Scientology gives us. The best relief is Godly relief. He created the pets and us. Thanks.

I've never understood the definition of "cult." One thought is that a "cult" is a religion without effective PR. If Christianity appeared today, it would be dismissed as a "cult."
