Partners in Health is another organization you can donate to. They have done great work in Haiti.

What can you do to help if you don't have any money to donate?

Note the article about IMA activities in Haiti. Somehow didn't make the How to Help list, but go to imaworldhealth.org and you can donate there.

You can pray and I believe there is an organization that accepts goods.

www.worldvision.org is another reputable ministry that has been working with children in Haiti for years. Thanks

Another fantastic organization that has been operating solely for the benefit of Haiti since 1986 years is "Hands Together" run by Fr. Tom Hagan who lives in Haiti. They receive the highest rating of 4 stars by watchdog group Charity Navigator because of their sound fiscal management.

Unfortunately, because of the violence and unrest in Haiti, it's difficult for non-Haitians to volunteer in person. (Fr. Tom himself has had guns held to his head many times--even in church. Yet he still stays determined to help the people.) So if you cannot donate money, please pray for them. http://www.handstogether.org

Heifer International is also a very reputable charity that already has families that it has supported and worked with in Haiti. While they are not normally a "first responder" like the American Red Cross, they do have people on the ground there and can be a vital, immediate link in getting people the leg up that they need.

another organization you can donate money too is the Unitarian Universalist Service committee (www.uusc.org)
