Indian Creek School in Crownsville, MD held its third annual Poetry Out Loud competition on November 17 in the Jack and Nancy Becker Center for the Performing Arts. Seven students representing the preliminary round winners each performed two poems for fellow students. The winner, junior Lindsey Elling, performed "Alone" by Edgar Allen Poe and "Break, Break, Break" by Alfred Lord Tennyson. Ms. Elling will perform in the Anne Arundel County Competition later in the school year.

Torren Graves @ Oakland Mills High School won juss this Wednesday Dec.1 and did a phenomenal job! His performance of Scary Movies by Kim Addonizio was unmatched but received a perfect score on his recitation of Ozymandias by Percy Byyshe Shelley which was also unbeatable he has a hogh chance of crushing thos in the county competition =) Lindsey Elling and others beware
