City schools lose human resources officer

At Tuesday night's city school board meeting, Andres Alonso announced that JoAnne Koehler, the human resources officer for the school system, will be retiring. Alonso said he asked Koehler to think about it for a week while she was on vacation because he hoped she would stay. But she came back a week later and said, sorry, I am gone. "JoAnne Koehler did an amazing job," he said.

This is the total amount of info we get from a board meeting on this blog these days? I guess it's big news as far as Ms. Koehler goes, but nothing of any more general interest transpired? No announcements about the new Network organization? No fireworks about any reports? I'm trying to be hopeful and give this blog's transistion some time, but it's pretty hard.

Is Koehler leaving to join friend Sharon Kanter "new" School Superintendent in the more civil and saner Milford Delaware? The Human Resources position was recently posted.
