Come early to the InsideEd meetup

I was bummed to learn that we scheduled the InsideEd meetup for the same night that Paul Tough, author of Whatever It Takes: Geoffrey Canada's Quest to Change Harlem and America, will be speaking at Hopkins.

To accommodate those of you who want to attend both the meetup and his talk, which starts at 7 p.m. Monday, I've called Teavolve and changed our reservation to 5:30 (rather than 6). I'll still stay until 8 as planned, so come by whenever you can.

Tough's talk is free and open to the public, but advance tickets are required and already sold out. A small number of unclaimed tickets might be available that night. But why risk it? If you don't already have a ticket, come to the InsideEd meetup instead! We won't turn you away.

Sara and All, I will be unable to attend the InsideEd meet up due to an family emergency out of town. Leaving now and will be back late Monday night. So sorry. However, I expect a full report; my curiosity is peaked. Someone, please write an interesting though maybe confidential account of the meetup. Please schedule another. Thanks!

Wise: So sorry about your family emergency, and so sorry we'll miss you. We'll definitely have to figure out another time for you and Bill to meet.

I'd be glad to get together with both of you, whenever, after next Monday.Be sure to write a detailed account.I am really curious about everyone.(smile)

I will assume the role of wise educator for the sake of heated debate and entertainment. Get ready for me Bill!

Darn Corey, I wanted to be the heated debate person:-) My guess is that we will all be so tired from the week (and it being near most people's spring break) that we will fall asleep in our Chi.

Hope to be there - IO

Wise - hope things are okay with your family. Sorry to hear that there's an issue that takes you out of town. We will raise a cup of half caf with a twist to you.

So for those who want to know, TeaVolve is great. I went there tonight because, well, because I thought that the get together was tonight. Not sure I can make it Monday or that I can use a calendar:-)

Have a great weekend everyone.

IO: Oh no! Really hope you can still make it Monday.
