Let's just say that the fraction of human beings left at HSHS are the allegorical fraction of human beings that must attend schools that haven't had the blessings of the reform efforts detailed in the recent hagiography of the "CEO."

And then let's say that the fraction of human beings left in bad, un-reformed schools is the same allegorical fraction that must attend Baltimore City schools, tout court---which by an unspoken rule are aparthied schools and by most measures fundamentally, essentially different from other district's schools.

And lets say that you've already forgotten about the "remainder" of kids at HSHS.

And lets say public officials responsible for said school have officially given word to flee from said school.

And let's say that in America we are willing to abandon a certain allegorical fraction of our fellow man.

And we have elaborate defenses of that.

Particularly if you don't live in west baltimore near HSHS or send your kids there.

Maybe I'm not completely understanding who is being counted in the 34 staff who are remaining, but it looks like this would give a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6.7 since it looks like there are only 228 students left in the school. Do they keep a whole team of teachers (eng, math, sci, ss, for lang) for just 12 juniors? Or does the last English teachers standing have to teach 9-12 grade English. I hope someone really thought this through in terms of the implications for those "left behind"?
