I do understand the spirit of inviting students back to finish school, but as a teacher in a neighborhood school in Baltimore I haven't really seen it as a success. Most of the students that have 'come back' still haven't reported to school, or only show up sporadically - which tends to give teachers more work in sending letters home, making calls, and trying to 'catch up' students that haven't been in school for weeks. Earlier this year we had one great kid come back and stab another. Great. I love how the flier says ' Graduate in a way that works for YOU.' Ironic.
Nice idea though in theory.

The last round wasn't a success at my school and I worry the impact the returning students will have. Still no programs for these kids, just take them back where they failed from in the first place.

Stu, tell your principal. I'm sure he can fix the problem!
