Arrests: South Baltimore pub crawl stabbing, two homicides
A few other arrests to report. The man accused of stabbing someone during a South Baltimore pub crawl last weekend has turned himself in, according to police. Joseph Larry Burr Jr., 35, of the 300 block of S. Bruce St., has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and related charges in connection with the Feb. 27 stabbing of Michael Kooser following a fight outside Taps, a bar at Fort Avenue and S. Charles St. Charging documents don't spell out how Burr is related to the group (the two women already charged were friends of one of the flag football team members) or how police identified him as a suspect. Police said he turned himself in at the Southern District police station, accompanied by a lawyer.
Also, city police made two homicide arrests, though they're keeping details close to the vest and there's not much to report.
Montez Faidley, 23, of the 1500 block of E. 29th St., has been charged in the Jan. 25 shooting of Michael Manning in the 1900 block of Aisquith St. Manning was found in the alley, face down and unresponsive. Faidley was picked out of photo lineups after witnesses were located, police said in charging documents.
Also, Kenyatta Basku McCoy, 35, of the 700 block of E. 43rd St., has been charged in the July 13, 2009 killing of John Woodies. Woodies, 38, was shot to death on a basketball court. Police located witnesses who identified McCoy as one of the suspects. Already arrested in this case was Dante Preston, 37, who was indicated March 4 on murder charges.

Do we have a mugshot?
Not saying a stabbing is ever ok but I bet there is more to the story, if he would add to it.

How would a mugshot add more to the story? Unless, of course, Mr. Burr had a blade growing out of his forehead.

Well, obviously, if Mr. Burr looks one way then the stabbing is an indictment of the entire city and a group of people. If Mr. Burr looks another way then it was an isolated incident of drunk people that got too carried away.

In no way did I say a mug shot would add more to the story Charm. I am just curious.
I'm saying if he, the suspect would add to it, I'm sure there is even more to the story.

Peter the stabbing happened two hours after the bar crawl ended and it didn't happen anywhere near Taps. I think that you are putting them in a bad light. It actually happened outside another bar on Fort Avenue about 1/2 mile away from Charles Street. I respect your reporting but this a bit off this time.
The original fight indeed happened outside of Taps. The victim was stabbed as he left the scene of the fight, when he was at Fort and Henry. He was eventually located by police at Fort and Covington. -Justin

The word accused appeared in the beginning sentence of the paragraph. What ever happened to innocent before proven guilty? I read some of the replies from the last blog about the bar crawl, which turned into an us against them mentality. Everyone thinks their story is the only one that's correct.
It seems to me when you have a crowd of people out drinking for the purpose of getting to the next bar for their next drink, to raise money for this or for that... no ones really sure of everything around them. I learned a long time ago when you argue with a drunk, people wonder who is the fool.
I see turning yourself in as the ACCUSED man did as an act of innocents and a trusting nature in which the city and many blogers could use a shot of themselves.

The man did turn himself in to prove that he was innocent unfortanlly its not innocent untill proving guilty its guilty untill proving innocent do you really think that if the man did do this he would just walk himself into a police station & say here I am arrest me. I hope that when everything comes out in court and this mans name is clear that the papers correct what they are saying about this mans charter he also has family & children that are going through alot due to this stupied act that happen because grown adults can't act right in public while drinking. Besides have you seen the news you don't have to look a certain way to be a crimnal look at the women accused of hiring a hitman to kill her husban does she look crazy? What about the man who drowned his children in a bath tub. Really people looks mean nothing anyone can look nice and classy or down right trashy.....
