Stylista
9/8c

The fall TV season is starting early this year, so we won't have to wait quite as long for some of our favorite shows. One Tree Hill fans, we're totally thrilled that we don't have to wait until January like last season! This year, OTH is among the first to premiere.

The first week of September will pack a punch with the potent pair of Gossip Girl and OTH kicking things off, followed by the highly anticipated two-hour premieres of 90210 and America's Next Top Model. Privileged stands alone with a premiere the following week. Then Smallville and Supernatural return a few weeks later, and fans of the comedies will have to wait until early October. The last premiere is Stylista -- we're a bit surprised to see it premiering so late in the game.

Reaper fans, however, are still left hanging -- the network has yet to announce when the drama returns. Same thing with new drama 13 (the title has been updated to 13 -- Fear Is Real).

So what do you think of the new schedule? Which show are you most looking forward to? Which night have you completely blocked off for TV viewing? Tell us in the comments!

The CW Firms Up Its Midseason Schedule

The CW has announced more changes to its midseason schedule. Here's the scoop on the biggest changes -- and our reactions.

*One Tree Hill will be joining Gossip Girl on Monday nights begining April 7 for a superpowered night of drama.

We say: Hooray! We always thought these dramas would benefit from being paired up. Now we have a lot to look forward to on Monday nights.

*Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious is moving to Wednesday nights beginning April 9 to finish its season after America's Next Top Model.

We say: Another good move by the network. These two shows have a lot in common: scantily clad girls competing, fighting, and freaking out. Now reality fans can get a double fix on Wednesdays.

*Beauty and The Geek premieres next Tuesday, March 11.

We say: This show's always a fun time, and this season's crop looks like the geekiest yet. Bring it on!

*Supernatural returns to Thursdays on April 3. New episodes begin April 24th.

We say: About time! We're going through serious withdrawal -- but hearing that the show is officially back for a fourth season is helping us get through the drought.

*The Game returns with new episodes and an earlier time on March 23.

We say: This season, The Game has been hotter than ever, taking risks by splitting up Mel and Derwin and shaking up living situations. We can't wait until the show is back and has the chance to build some serious momentum again.

Schedule Change Alert: Gossip Girl/Top Model Premieres Now 9/19

Gossip Girl moves upMark your calendars: The CW's kicking things off a week earlier this fall.

We just heard of a simple, but major, change to The CW fall schedule: the Gossip Girl premiere is moving up a week to 9/19, airing after a one-hour Top Model premiere. Sounds like great news to us -- we hate waiting until practically October to check out the new season shows. And Gossip Girl's one of the shows we're most excited to see, so any way we can check it out sooner is just fine by us.

So the new schedule is

Wednesday, September 19
America's Next Top Model, 8/7c
Gossip Girl, 9/8c

Get a full list of the fall premiere dates and check out the full fall 2007 schedule.

We'll keep you posted about any more schedule changes, so keep checking back!

First thoughts: Hmm. We feel sorry for Supernatural. The show has a really tough timeslot, and now it won't even benefit from following the Smallville premiere (on Sept. 27, The CW will air an encore of the Reaper premiere in Supernatural's timeslow instead). The show deserves better. Still, we know the devoted fanbase will turn out.

Everything else is pretty much as we expected it, with surefire reality hits kicking off premiere week. But the real question is -- what do you think?

The CW Upfronts: Tuesday Schedule

Beauty and The Geek returns at 8/7c -- mini video-preview, nothing too exciting. We do love seeing those geeks again, though!

And now, on to 9/8c -- a new drama called Reaper. Hey! It's that kid from The Loop. He has an appropriately goofy face. We almost want to laugh just when he appears on screen -- regardless of whether or not he's funny.

They've got "Young Folks" by Peter, Bjorn and John playing in the background -- love it!

Okay, so the funny kid finds out that his parents have literally sold his soul to the devil. Ouch! And now the devil's following him around everywhere. And his life is a "living hell." Get it? Weird -- if this plot were played for dramatic purposes, we could see it being kind of interesting, like Buffy, Supernatural, Smallville, etc. But it seems to be a comedy, all quick cuts and funny reaction faces and poppy music. Hard to read at this point.

The Reaper stars are out now... kind of acting like tools. Oh, and there's the "devil," making a "scary" appearance. Did you know Kevin Smith is behind this show? I wonder how it'll do -- is this something you guys would be into?

The CW Upfronts: Monday Schedule

Everybody Hates Chris will return on Mondays at 8/7c. Dawn said Chris Rock will actually appear on the show as the school guidance counselor for the first time ever on the season 3 premiere! Cool.

Preview of Aliens, the new comedy replacing All of Us at 8:30/7:30c on Mondays... about a kid growing up in Wisconsin who's an alien that's trying to pass as a regular high school student. Dawn says this'll pair will with Everybody Hates Chris b/c they're both fish out of water comedies...

Um, except this show is BLATANTLY offensive. The mom decides to import a friend for her alien son, and they get all excited b/c they think it's this Aryan Nordic type running off the plane... but no. It's Rajah, a Pakistani Muslim with a "funny" accent. Cue the stereotypical music. Apparently his accent and differences are going to be played for comedy.

The stars are out talking now, and again, everyone's cracking up at the kid's accent. Unbelievable. We're embarrassed for them.

Girlfriends and The Game return to their usual slots; nothing much said about them. And now, on to Tuesdays.

The CW Upfronts: "Farmer Wants a Wife" and "Crowned"

Dawn couldn't even say the title "Farmer Wants a Wife" with a straight face... and neither can we. She claims it'll be a Green Acres-type reality show -- a farmer wants a big-city wife. Not much more on that one...

And now a preview of "Crowned..."

Oh my god. So the moms and daughters are all living in one house. Gee, think that'll produce some drama?

They'll have "de-sashing" ceremonies when someone is eliminated. Glistening teeth and psycho moms? How long until the hair-pulling starts?

The CW Upfronts: "We Love One Tree Hill"

Dawn just said to relax, OTH fans -- it IS coming back, but midseason. At the end of the season, the cast got out of high school, but when the show comes back, we're fast-forwarding four years, so the OTHers have already graduated college.

To catch us up on what happened in their lives, they'll have online digital video diaries so we can see what happened to the characters over the past four years. ahh!!

The CW Upfronts: Back to Sundays

Dawn's saying this new Africa drama, "Life Is Wild," is the kind of show that the whole family can enjoy (like 7th Heaven?). It's a "great escape" that's filmed entirely in Africa.

So there's this family that looks like, well, most families on The CW (unnaturally beautiful, young, wealthy), but here's the catch -- they've all moved to Africa, and instead of dealing with high school dramas, they're confronting elephants in the safari. All to the tune of Natasha Beddingfield's "Unwritten!"

Top Model encore still at 9/8c Sundays...

The CW Upfronts: New Ad Approaches

Dawn's taking a momentary break from the schedule to tell us about new CW approaches to advertising. Remember those content wraps (she just said they like to call them CWs.... groan!) -- Herbal Essences ads and the like that they'd use during PCD? Well, they want to take it a step further.

New guy talking about advertising approaches. And now we have a content wrap about a content wrap. Meta!

Mark McGrath's making an appearance in the content wrap. Is he the new CW mascot? He's been popping up everywhere lately. First PCD, now the upfronts...

The CW Upfronts: Sunday Schedule

CW Now will air Sundays at 7/6c. The "ultimate source for current trends," says Dawn. Pop culture and celebrity gossip. Here's a preview...

CWNow, they claim, will get us "past the velvet rope and in with the in crowd." Cold-weather cocktails. Trashion (fashion made from trash). Lindsay Lohan gossip (because you can't get THAT anywhere else...heh).

Moving on to 7:30/6:30c -- a new program called Online Nation: the hottest online videos in one place. Preview coming now...

This looks a little like America's Funniest Home Videos revamped for the Generation Y set.

The CW Upfronts: Sticking With Stability on Thursdays and Fridays

Thursdays and Fridays, as predicted, aren't changing. Smallville at 8/7c and Supernatural at 9/8c. And SmackDown remains on Fridays. Yeah!!!

The CW Upfronts: Gossip Girl Preview

No pressure or anything -- Dawn's calling Gossip Girl a possibly "network-defining show." She says it'll do for Manhattan what The O.C. did for Orange County.

Lots of rich prep school kids sleeping around...

Seems to be an abundance of shady hotel room affairs on this show. And a lot of martini-swilling teens.

And it sure sounds like Kristen Bell's voice narrating, as we heard yesterday...

It's all set to the tune of Fergie's "Glamorous" (thanks, CW, for getting this song stuck in my head).

Here are the stars of Gossip Girl, pretending to feud with each other about who's the REAL star. Hot cast, that's for sure. But no mention of what's obviously Kristen Bell's voice. Huh?

Dawn just said Wednesday nights will be "appointment television" for CW viewers.

Major digital media tie-ins: apparently you'll be able to create Gossip Girl avatars and virtually "hang out" on the Upper East Side. And you can somehow send your own gossip to billboards in Times Square and Sunset Boulevard (!?!?!).

The CW Upfronts: Wednesday's Schedule

Top Model remains at 8/7c -- had a great first year, and it'll return to the same spot on Wednesdays in the fall.

And now, here's Tyra! She looks great -- glowing. She's showing highlights of Cycle 8 -- there's Jaslene and Natasha bringing sexy back...

Interesting -- some of the models here in person are Whitney and Diana. Tyra's so proud of having the plus-size models! And here's Caridee, Natasha (LOVE)... and JASLENE! The first Latina Top Model. She looks HOT in a sexy sequined dress. None of them got to say anything... darn. Was hoping to hear what Jas had to say.

Wednesdays at 9/8c will be Gossip Girl (no OTH!). Dawn's calling it a "sexy, fun, drama-filled hour."

The CW Upfronts: Here's Dawn Ostroff

Dawn Ostroff, president of entertainment just stepped out to the tune of "Dontcha." Let's see what she has to say...

She's just reviewing last year's successes. Get to the schedule already! We're antsy.

And We're Off! The CW Upfronts Begin

Oh, dear. They're kicking things off here with a performance from The Pussycat Dolls -- featuring PCD Search for the Next Doll winner Asia. Nothing like a little rump-shaking to kick off a network party...
