Supernatural: Let's make another 100

"I slaved over those burgers and beer for your 100th episode. The least you could do is sit and enjoy it!"
This week on Supernatural we saw Bobby get mad, Dean get desperate and Zachariah get even...sorta. We also saw a lot of other crazy crap, but that's just par for the course with this show.
The down-and-out Zachariah gets offered another chance in the game by the powers that be and immediately sets to work on the Winchesters again. Though some really big developments happened, the central story seemed to be the brothers' struggling relationship and Dean's lack of faith in, well, anything. Read on for some more brotherly emotional torture!
Strung out by a need to save as many people as he can, Dean is bound and determined to be the sword of Michael. He even gives away his leather jacket, probably the most comforting scrap of fabric since Linus's blue blanket. But Sam can't let Dean just give in and puts him under house arrest with Bobby and Cas.
We absolutely loved Bobby's scolding. He may not be Dean's father, but he's the closest thing the brothers have, and this episode saw him doing a damn good job. Even though it seems their family ties get them into trouble with Zacharaiah, we never get sick of seeing the small clan (finally) come through for each other.
Watching Dean verbally take down Sam was extremely hard. Basically getting a no-confidence vote regarding your addictions from the one person you love the most is devastating. It's even worse when they think you'll become a minion of Satan, as opposed to say, going back on cigarettes or killing people for sport. At least Dean got some retribution in the form of an angelic ass-kicking and a few tongue-lashings.
We got to see the Littlest Winchester...Milligan...whatever, again, who it seems has also been persuaded by the angels to be the sword of Zachariah. He's been told some unflattering things about his brothers, though he's definitely channeling a lot of Dean with that hard, sarcastic attitude. Shockingly, the kid is getting set up by Zachariah as a pawn to get at the senior Winchesters, namely Dean. But since Dean has a hard enough time letting one brother down, let alone two, the ploy backfires and he takes out his overprotective angst on Zachariah's head.
We also saw Cas bust out some mighty angel kung fu and trick his fellow angels with a sigil involving a glimpse of his abs. Sigh. But seriously, Cas, you let Dean outwit you like that? You're thousands of years older and wiser, so let's use our big boy brains, shall we?
All in all, the 100th episode was very satisfying. It had everything: some brotherly strife and eventual making up, Cas's bare chest, some Zachariah zingers, gratuitous violence, Cas's bare chest...
What did you folks think? Chime in!
Quote of the episode:
Dean: Cas, the last time someone looked at me like that, I got laid.
Comments
I absolutely adore Jake Abel/Adam. I didn't think introducing a third Winchester would work at all, but Supernatural always makes it work somehow (blah cept Ruby haha).
And I love Misha/Castiel as well. Castiel had nothing but crazy-ass fighting skills and I applaud him greatly for being able to hold his own. (I was literally in shock during season 4 when he got his ass kicked around a few times)
These guys are amazing, and though I love them with all my heart, I do hope that Supernatural revolves around Sam and Dean because they are the core.
But that was such a crazy cliffhanger! We don't know what happened to Cas or Adam! OMG why does Supernatural torture its fans so much? I love it and hate that quality at the same time.
Loved the 100th ep! But no, let's not make another 100 and turn Supernatural into a Smallville or something... Dragging on a good show would only deteriorate its quality. Like Kripke wanted - Let's end it on a high note!

LOVED seeing Cas going full-one badass mode on all those angles and Dean. They should gave Collins a fight scene every week.
Can't believe we actally got to Adam for real, he had a few lines but he provide postive proof that he is a Winchester. While it may look like Adam got roasted by Michael at the end, I have a feeling that instead Michael just body-jack him.
I for one, am really rooting for Michael to return ever since he fired Anna (by the way, coolest death scene of the show ever!!!11). Of couse not with him in Dean's body, that would be mess up. On the other hand, it would be petty awesome seeing Dean and Sam fight each other with super-powers. Just though on something, the Winchesters brothers becoming superheros would be a great story for next season, as long it just for a episode.

Sam was incredibly mature and an inspirational leader for Team Free Will this episode. He really stepped up as he's been doing a lot lately. Dean redeemed himself at the end which is good because the panic room scene made me want to hit him for putting that look on Sam's little face.
Castiel is really not doing it for me as a character, I find him a pretty unnecessary addition and i hope we see the end of him at the end of this season, i would love back to basics for supernatural, just the Winchesters against the world.
Please please please writers. It's the bread and butter of the show when Sam and Dean only have one another.
A good solid episode. Can't wait to see how Sam and Dean fight the devil, and Jared deserves serious kudos for this episode, he absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark.

Loved Cas in this episode. You can really see his character developing. I really hope Adam doesn't become a permanent character though. I think it will mess with the chemistry of the show. The only way I think his character would contribute to the show is if he became the voice of reason and the mediator between Sam and Dean.

Littlest Winchester <- that was the cutest thing you guys wrote evar xD. i love jake abel (though apprehensive at first when i heard john had an illegitimate son) and i saw on a percy jackson interview that he was returning to supernatural. i think he let that slip by accident. i searched EVERYWHERE to try to find out which ep he would be in and supernatural did a damn good job of masking it. i couldn't find even a scrap of info as to which ep he would be in. SO GLAD he was here to celebrate 100 with the winchesters :D amazing. utterly amazing.
anyway, this ep was so full of awesome i watched it again and again and again. loved bobby interaction and the 3 brothers REAL interaction. i was kinda angry at adam's resentment to sam and dean but then later its shown that the angels manipulated him into thinking that way. thank god.
jensen <- teh best actor EVAR. no joking. he can make me laugh, cry, sad - anything really in one episode. i definitely felt sympathy for dean but i really didn't want him to say yes. definitely the mark of an excellent actor.
sam. I LOVED SAM in this ep! he wasnt being self centered for his own reasons which it sometimes came off as. he was really the brother that needed to come back. yaaay for sam!
Castiel. omg castiel. i <3 this guy. btw cwsouce, what do you mean by dean outwit castiel? you mean in the panic room? well honestly 1) dean's a ninja, 2) castiel was worried about dean. so i didn't read too much into it like castiel is losing his marbles or something.
AND DAYUM misha got abs haha. love that guy
loved the episode so much. i could go on and one about how much it was awesome. SUPERNATURAL FTW!!

Amazing episode! Loved Sam's strength and his faith in his brother. The ending was just plain wonderful - one of the best "brother" moments ever. Here's to the next 100 episodes!

I liked this one well enough, but felt it should have been more epic for it being the 100th episode.
Is this the final fix for the brotherly bond? If it is I am a bit unsatisfied. To much crap was retconned in order to force paralelles that did not even exist. Plus behavior, issues and actions that needed to be acknowledged and addressed have continued to be ignored. I'm glad that Sam finally has faith in his brother because Dean has earned it for the past 20+ years. But I found him questioning how Dean could not have faith in him to be ridiculous considering what has went down in the past year and a half. Sam could have come off even better in this ep if he could have acknowleged the fact that he took a blow torch to the faith and trust Dean had in him and he wanted to prove to Dean that he was worthy of it again.
Also everyone was pissed at Dean for wanting to say yes, but noone gave any solid reasons why he shouldn't. Dean was giving valid points on why he should say yes and I wanted someone to give him some valid arguments in return.
Add Cass to the never ending list of people who turn on Dean. The beat down was way over the top especially since Dean was not fighting back. A punch or 2 would have sufficed. Then we had the venemous looks and nasty remarks to add to it. I know that they needed to have Sam be the one to believe in his brother to get him back on track, but they did it at the expence of the Dean/Cass relationship.
I didn't mind Adam, but don't need to see him again.
Bobby needs to shut up and eat a bullet all ready. I'm over him!

I loved this episode! the other thing that bothers me besides dean being able to kill zachariah is that it didnt burn his eyes out when he saw the "light" from him dieing. is dean immune to angle stuff like sam is to deamon stuff? i also loved seeing cass so mad. the fight between him and dean was awesome. i hope he comes back! i just loved the whole thing and cant wait to see what happens next. glad dean is back in the game!

Sam was just awesome. Wonderfully mature.
Dean. I wanted hug and slap Dean at the same time.
Cas was fantastic. It’s nice see the warrior side of Castiel return. Badass Cas is so full of win! More Cas fighting please. I love this Cas.
He carves a banishment sigil on his chest. Genius Cas, completely awesome and completely unexpected.
He continuing to sacrifice himself for the boy’s.
The look on Dean’s face when Cas say that he lost faith in him and would rather die than see him fail.
Love that Sam and Bobby didn’t want to poke around in Dean’s and Cas personal issues.
“What happened to him?“
“Me”.
And they don’t make questions.
And love that Dean doesn’t seem to be holding a grudge. There was never a trace of anger. He just says “don’t piss of the nerd angel.” My best friend say’s “that Dean respects the beat. Cas spoke to Dean in Dean’s language. He beat the holy hell auto of him”.
I’m not a slash fan but…those lines, I can’t believe: “Blow me Cas!”.
And “the last person that looked at me like that I got laid”. The look on Sam’s face, when Dean say’s that.

I love this show from the bottom of my heart, but I don't think this show can go anywhere but with Dean and Sam saying yes and battle royal begins. Gabriel(Trickster) was right. I don't want them to say yes, but it looks like they might have to.
For the record, I think Castiel should have pulled a shirt- ripping ninja move like that a long time ago. But at this point I think it's safe to say that Cas is a genius. I thought it was hilarious when he started to beat up on Dean, he kind of deserved. I mean, Castiel gave up everything for him and Dean was about to throw it all away. Dean needed a beat-down.
There are points in this season that really yank on my heart. Especially with Dean, going all death and despair on us. I'm just glad he's back to normal... sort of.

There was one thing that bothered me. Like how could Dean kill Zachariah, when we were all under the impression that only an angel could kill another angel. Has the rules changed again?
But besides that, I loved everything. I even loved Adam. He may not want to admit it, but like Sam said, with an attitude like that, he fits right in. He reminded me so much of Dean and i'm glad we finally got to see the real Adam.
Cas was AWESOME with his mad ninja skills! He kicked some major butt and i'm not worried about him. Yeah, he blasted himself to god knows where, but he'll be back.
The parts I really loved were the ones with Dean and Sam. In the first scene in the panic room, Dean told Sam EVERYTHING I had been thinking for the past couple of weeks. I lost faith in Sam too. I didn't think he'd be able to pull himself together enough to bring Dean back from the edge. I'm so glad he proved me wrong. For the first time since like season 3, I am back in love with both boys at the same time.
