One Tree Hill Podcast: "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
Jackie, Mia and I were torn on this episode of One Tree Hill. There were some fun moments, but it left us feeling like something was lacking. Where was the interaction between all the characters? Who decided to let Nanny Carrie threaten poor Chester? And what were they thinking with the basketball plot?
It seems like no one is having a good time in Tree Hill. The ghost of Q pops up everywhere, haunting Lucas, Skills, Nate, Haley and Jamie. Meanwhile, Brooke and Peyton seem to be on another show entirely -- their plots didn't intersect at all with the rest of the crew. We vent our frustration at this state of affairs, come up with a great idea for a Saturday morning cartoon spin off, contemplate the total lack of home security in Tree Hill, wonder when Maury Povich will be visiting the town, dish about the appropriateness of the Skills/Deb relationship, and consider whether Q would really be touched by the four-man basketball team that Lucas puts on the court.

Agree with everything you guys said, once again. This was a hideous episode. I felt like, if we only get 22 episodes a season, this was such a waste of one of those 22.
(On a side note, 90210 is a horrible show. I don't think you are hurting anyone's feelings by not podcasting it.)

Well this podcast was a definite improvement from the last one. More balanced, and I appreciate that.
Brooke had that scene with Haley/Jamie so she wasn't as disconnected from the others. Peyton, however was completely isolated from the rest even her fiance (which to me is incredibly strange). But it's easier to FF through her scenes, not that she had many scenes to begin with. Her storyline is a completely snooze fest, haven't we seen the long-lost relative thing before? It's getting tired.
And last but not least, I definitely enjoyed all of Haley's scenes (Although, I could have done without Sam and her disrespectful self). Joy is great with everything they give her. She has such great comedic timing. The scene between Haley/Skills and Haley/Jamie/Brooke were hilarious.
I would have liked some more NH but I won't complain seeing as LP didn't get anything either.

that sounds like a cool cartoon "the scooby Q mysteries" sooo funny. lol I said that it was a bad idea to play four the rest of the season I mean sure I can understand it for that game but for the rest of the season that's like suicide. I thought that Q's mum that gave the emotional speech it was great it like gave the other players courage to play. I was just kinda angry with Brooke and Haley over the whole Sam situation because you should try and talk to them about the problems you shouldn't reward a thief with clothes especially clothes from a store you stole from. I was like Nathan you can't fire your mum well you can if your Brooke but Deb has an impact on Jamie's life and if she's gone well Jamie will just keep asking questions like he does with grandpa Dan. I was like No Brooke you can't do this, this means Bictoria wins. I kinda miss the sassy Brooke, she was more fun that way. John Doe I was like you can't show a dead body on Tree Hill. lol I have to say once again no Leyton and no complaining. great podcast yet again

great pod cast as usual. i thought it was an ok episode, but i agree with u guys that it was weird how peyton lucas and brooke were all off by themselves the whole time which i hated because a huge reason i love OTH is cuz of their friendships and that was just not happening on this one. i think that guy is gonna be peyton's dad too but i don't think it would be right for him to walk her down the aisle cuz larry has been there for her her whole life and he's a good dad so i think it would be really disrespectful to him if she had the new daddy do that for her. and lucas has totally gone from star of the show to like a guest star. he has barely any screen time and the only story line he has at the moment is stupid. i mean i get the first game with 4 players and i think that's totally cool, but to do it for the rest of the season is just stupid. first of all, they're not going to win at all. well not realistically anyway, and second i don't see how the refs would keep allowing it. it's a nice thought but totally unrealistic. and nanny carrie better not hurt chester!!!!! i hope peyton or brooke or haley kickes her butt for takin jamie cuz i'm tired of having the psycho on the show!! there's only room for one villian and that is dan. victoria is ok too sometimes. and she's such a liar, she totally sent that guy to beat up millie but got brooke instead and she barely even cared about that. i liked how brooke confronted her and said she knew it was her that did it to get the designs. even if she didn't mean to do it to brooke that's messed up that she tried to do it at all. but that's my take on this episode, can't wait for next week!
oh also my fav part was jamie lookin at the mannequin and haley yelling at him lol hilarious!!

ok what i think the whole Sam plot will evenually end up, my thought is that Brooke will evenually adopt her!!

I really think it was very well rounded – really enjoyed, there was pain (for Q and team), anger (Victoria!), funny-ness (Jamie and Nathan about Deb and Skills) and OTH-ness (every haley scene!)
About Nanny Carrie: Mark schwahn said clearly it was a ‘soap-y’ story line, and that its culmination leads up to the next episode, AND the ‘worst’ villains are usually the ones to watch out for!
Maybe there will be an ulterior motive for the 4 player thing…p.s it wasn’t stupid, it was sentimental! Extreme – but important!
Lucas is supposed to be the ‘voice of inspiration’ of the show thus his speeches are important!
I like DEB and Skills story 2!!
Hate Victoria….loving ALL of Brooke’s story lines!
Over all you have under represented this episode, it was melodic, well written, excellent elements of emotion and drama (a fine line to walk, with dignity) great respect to Q, they way each remember him, excellent acting from Jamie and the other younger boy AND great intertexual reference to past episode stories!
p.s fav quote…. Jamie: Hey Grandpa Skills!

great podcast as usual,I liked the idea of the show of Jamie and Q,I think Torrey Devitto does the best it can with the history of psicHO, to play the season with 4 players is a crazy thing, I hope that Q appear to his teammates, to tell you that is a ridiculous.
Lucas' speeches, with one is sufficient,Haley: I liked the scene with Skills, because Joy was able to interpret the funny, like the scene with Jamie and maniqi was adorable.and the idea of Sam as a friend of Jamie, I see it this way, if Q I teach Jamie to Rapier, Sam taught him to steal, so nooooooooooo
ah, and I can tell someone like Brooke step the gun through the airport, because I have no idea

that cartoon idea sounds amazing. keith could possibly be the bobby from supernatural.this episode wasn't the best, but next one looks really good.( children of the corn lol)i can't wait for when you guys do season 2. it is an okay season but i think it is that way because it is very angsty. brooke is,lucas, nathan (he trys to talk over the title as mr. broody from lucas), and peyton is more agnsty tahn ever.( who would have thought that was even possible)but one thing that peyton did made me really like her characther. you will figure it out when it happens since you guys don't want to be spoiled. have fun and please keep podcasting

This episode was another snooze fest. Ohh dear god Mark better make up for this crap fest of an episode. When did Jamie became the lead character on the show? I know it may sound like I hate kids but I love kids its just I don't need to see Jamie in almost every scene seriously. UGH Brooke got to give it to her. I'm generally not a fan of hers but her scene with Vicki was my absalute favorite scene of the night. Its a scene I wish Mark gave Lucas with Dan or Nathan with Dan, but SB just did it. I'm glad she did not cry this week because honegurl just can't seem to cry, but man I just wanted to high five Brooke in that scene. She went all gangsta on her mom. Victoria what a bitch she could DIAF for all I care, but I dont think she meant for Brooke to get hurt. I think I'm the only crazy one who thinks Victoria actually loves Brooke LOL. Ugh Nanny Carrie could give a damn. Peyton and whose my daddy boring. Hilarie usually have chemistry with every new character they put her in but this is ridiculous. He better turn out to be Derek's daddy as well if he is going to be her dad. Lucas my poor Lucas what is Mark doing to you? Did you get dumb all of a sudden? I'm offended as a basketball fan that Mark would allow 4 players. I honestly don't think Lucas will ever coach again and dude shouldn't. I don't care enough about Emo girl. Theirs only one Emo girl on OTH and her name's Peyton Elizabeth Sawyer.
