Rumorville: Smallville to Welcome Another Fresh Face
Last season Aaron Ashmore joined the Smallville cast as the sweet, slightly dorky Jimmy Olsen. Will Smallville see another new face in Season 7? Apparently so.
According to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, we can expect some new blood on the show. Smallville's looking for an "extremely hot" thirtyish guy to come on as the new editor of The Daily Planet.
What's more, the new guy is pegged to be a love interest for one of the lovely ladies of Smallville. We'll let you click through to see which babe the new guy will be making eyes at...
Hey, we'll admit to being shallow. We have no problem seeing more hot guys on Smallville. But we're wondering how the new guy would fit in. We hope he's going to be a deputy editor of some sort, because no way can we see a relatively young hottie filling Perry White's shoes. Seriously, can you imagine a thirtysomething stud being able to pull off the line "Great Caesar's ghost?" We think not.
What do you think of the news? And who would you like to see cast as this mystery editor?

is there any possibility that we might see members of the legion of super heroes appear on smallville? The LSH was and still is by far my favorite super hero group. It'd be great to see.

I love this series as all the other comments from fans like I. I would love to know if the series comes ever to an end and if so try to prolong the ending please. My man and hunky good looking favorite cast is Clark Kent (Tom Welling).

I just love the serie...Tom Welling is hooooooottttt and this guy who makes the "green arrow" is a very, very nice face to look at!!!!!
I really have no idea who would be the director of the Daily Planet, buy please...I think I can not stand another pretty face!

I would Like to see one face on smallville and that face is, the face of Doomsday, who is the actual villain that killed superman...I have one question: What do You guys(cast and crew)think, if Doomsday Could be the End Of the series of Smallville...would that be a great way to end the series of smallville?

love the series.Just went on a smallville spree nd got every season on dvd so i can watch every single episode nd catch every lil sign they toss at you.. Lana needs to get out of the love triangle nd just stay in the friends zone.Love the actress playing Lois. I loved the show b4 but now with Green arrow, nd aquaman, flash, nd cyborg, the whole comic book version of the show is sticking with all Superman fanatics...I'd like to see more of the justice league, superfriends side of the show..Lois is already here, we know thats who Clark is going to end up with..There should only be one true villain, so kick Lionel over to the good side, nd let his son take care of all those bad guys for Clark to knock off one bt one..Id like to see 20 years of the show, but somehow i think the actors might get tired of it..Even though i hope they dont.. Chloe barely had any screen time in season 6 finale. Lois took all of Chloe's thunder and became the investigative reporter and so Chloe became the meteor freak. I dislike the actress playing Lois. Her before boob implants pictures, House of the Dead, are all over the Internet. Now with fake boobs, she took over Chloe's part. Those of us who have watched Smallville for over six years now have to put up with watching this bimbo hamming it up with her fake boobs. What will Chloe be reduced to in Season 7? I may just stop watching all together.

So first spoiler for season 7 and what is it about? A FRAKING LOVE INTEREST. Is Lois going to be the next Lana now?? And Lois dating an editor for the DP is all kinds of wrong. WRONG! Is this what Al meant when he said that ppl weren't going to like the way Lois got into the DP? So Lois is going to sleep her way in. Can't say I would be surprised if it actually went down that way.

Because Lois won't have another "serious" relationship after Oliver...IMO it won't have the same impact and probably she will end up with the broken heart just like TPTB like to do it...cause there is no way that Lois Lane is the one chosing to end up things in this show apparently. Becuase it would be MUCH more interesting if he was something like a guide for her (if they want to invole him with her anyways) without hiring her at the DP cause THAT'S Perry White's role.
If they are going to make him a love interest then don't cast Dean Caan for
that.
The only thing good I can see for the love interest part is
Season 6 green arrow + oliver + dual indentity + dating Lois = Superman + clark + dual indentity + dating Lois = ANVIL
Season 7 reporter + dude + love interest Lois = reporter + clark + love interest Lois = ANVIL
God bless the foreshadowing.
But if I have to choose and as good as this new anvil would be I'd like to watch this new editor as a mentor

The CW could do something interesting and intelligent for a change, like a character that is not a love interest.
