i love OTH! the story lines are amazing and everything. i started watching it from the beginning last summer and loved it! i also started watching 90210 this summer and i found that i was amazing until season 4.after brenda left i didnt find it amazing! i love 90210 tho!

OTH!! That show is the best. Especially since james lafferty is on that show. Truthfully I started watching it just because of him.

I like both shows but i must say that one tree hill is much better. atleast for me. it has all the drama that one might need in a tv show, but still the writers can use a sence of humor that makes the fun easy to watch. its never depressing even though the characters has to go through alot. one thing that i think the oth writers should think about though is that a show can be exiting without "supernatural" things going on. sometimes it just gets to be a little to much and a little unrealistic in my beloved oth, but i watch it because I LOVE IT.
in 90210 they have more realistic storylines that you can relate to. i think one tree hill was better at that in the beginning.but i still like it. both shows are very good, but "bev" cant even compare to oth:) thats just my opinion.

90210 was an awesome show for it's time and still people can relate to it's characters and story lines. What I loved most about 90210 you had these wealthy character with real issues like any person.

Oth on the other hand has a good cast and is relatable for the times of today. I really can't compare the two. I do like One Tree Hill but it isn't as down to earth as 90210. I do wish the show a continued success along with the entire cast!

People must be missing the point...its not about hating or confessing their undying love to OTH its about answering the question...Which show was better...i personally thin 90210 blows OTH away but i still like OTH...thats my opinion everyone is entitled to their opinion...doesnt mean anyone is a hater...

Anonymous is right just because someone likes 90210 better than OTH doesnt mean that they a hater. Me in particular I luv both of them but OTH way more but in the terms of scandals I think that 90210 is better cause they have JUICY love scandals; I mean even though OTH has scandals you know the thing with Peyton and Lucas and also the video with Nathan and Brooke in bed together but they are not as JUICY

OTH IS THE BEST!!! there is no comparison of oth to 90210! I have seen them both and have to say that OTH is really enjoyable to watch and has a very interesting story line!! One Tree Hill is the best show I have ever watched and it is my favorite show!! Also all OTH haters dont need to come here and post things bad about the show! Just stick with your show and get over it!

God forbid someone say another teen drama is better than OTH. The die hard crazies come out of the wood work and tell us to leave the site because it's about OTH. No..it's OTH vs 90210. I, unlike you, watch/ed both programs. What I did was look outside the box and tell the truth.

OTH is not getting bigger. Viewership declined when the WB moved it to Wednesday night and ANTM has not helped it rebound in the ratings (contrary to what the CW has stated)

Also, IMO the 4 year skip is "jumping the shark" and is a sad confirmation that the show does not have the strength to make it through the college years.

One of 90210's strong points was how different the characters were and how their upbringing molded the character-

David: Geek, son of a rich, adulterous man
Andrea: Poor intelligent geek
Brenda: Average girl who fell for the bad boy
Brandon: All american guy
Steve: Typical son of a rich family
Dylan: Bad boy, son of a rich criminal
Kelly: Popular sexually active daughter of an alcoholic mother who would rather be a friend than mother
Donna: Popular girl - the virgin

Being realistic - teen cliques have different types of people from diffent backgrounds. 90210 expressed this beautifully. I do not see this on OTH. OTH concentrates more on the drama than characterization. All the female characters on OTH are cheerleaders and the two male leads are basketball players. At least they have one geek.

Honestly i cant understand how people can compare the two shows...of course anyone who grew up in the late 90s early 00's couldnt possibly appreciate 90210 for wat it really was...it was a different time back then...drugs sex and parties are wat kids now a days are used to doing and seeing so of course they are going to think OTH is better..i dunno who started this whole blog but unless u watched every single episode of 90210 u really shouldnt b commenting because theres no way the 2 shows can b compared...OTH is about kids partying...having sex...drugs the story lines are just bits n pieces takin from other story lines in the past...90210 covered every single type of teenage disaster possible youd know if u saw more than 5 episodes

Personally my opinion is that anyone younger than 23 yrs old shouldn't be writing comments in this blog. The reason for this is that they couldn't appreciate 90210 for what it was back in the 80's/90's. You can't compare OTH to 90210 if you are watching the re-runs of 90210. I am 26 yrs old and was a loyal 90210 fan. Don't get me wrong I love OTH but I hate the fact that there are so many weeks that the show doesn't come on whereas with 90210 you could count on it being on every week. Also just like every 90210 fan has stated it was more realistic than OTH. They didn't have only 2 children (Lucas and Nathan)with parents on the show. All of the OTH teenagers have parents that are not around. Yeah the story lines on OTH are good and dramatic but all in all the producers need to step up their game and keep the fans happy. How can they expect to survive 10 seasons of OTH like 90210 did if they can't even get through 4.

I just have to leave a comment. While 90210 did start the teen drama series, and will always live in the hearts of those who loved it. We have to look at the level of the acting and storylines. When compared even to today's shows it is obvious to see that as far as the emotions, drama, and plots go as of this season One Tree Hill for me wins out. I am a excited about the 4yr skip. For me it's like starting a whole new show with characters we love. It's new and different from others. Like OTH has always done. From Naley's impulsive marriage to the School Shooting episode, to internet stalkers and graduation. OTH gets better and better and I for will always be a fan!!

Beverly hills was a good show and it was running for 10 seasons but just wait one tree hill is going to be bigger. it's is getting bigger for every year so just sit and wacht and compair it to beverly hills when one tree hill has finished it's 10 season.

but have you an idea what BH was and OTH is? OTH is nothing comparing BH... Be realistic

What can i say i was born in 1990 didnt really understand 90210 back than but got the seasons now i love it dont like it after shannen left. plain and simple it sucked crap. last episode is good tho.

I was little wen 90210 was aired, but my mom and my other 4 aunts loved the show. I would watch the show with them, I didn't understand a lot of the things that were going on wen I was younger, now watching SOAPnet, I understand it and appreciate it more. But OTH...thats my favorite show in the world!!! If I miss an episode, I make sure I buy it on iTunes...then I think to myself, why have 1 wen I can have them all, and I end up buying the season pass...which is better??? my personal opinion would have 2 b OTH...it's just that its in my time, they are around my age group, I was a freshman in H.S. wen it started and I just finished my 1st year of college and a lot of the things that happened on the show may seem unbelievable but I kno a lot of people that have gone through some of the things that the cast on OTH have gone through if it wasnt me personally...so I would def. have 2 say OTH!

I'm about to blow up my age bigtime but i must in order to comment....I was around when 90210 first came out and have watched every single episode prob about 50 times....NO SHOW CAN COMPARE...don't get me wrong i watch one tree hill its one of my favs...however its not even in the same class as 90210...its got the same repetative story line and one more thing i was a huge saved by the bell fan too back in the day but that show as welll doesnt come close it shouldnt even b in the same category as one tree hill or 90210...it was cheesy and really lame acting...Every show has its good and bad but 90210 will forever be the best

I watched both shows and i must agree with the Boston tv editor. I love OTH. Although 90210 did touch on some real life issues and had it's own type of drama, OTH goes above and beyond.
The fact that they even dared to do an episode on school shootings and actually aired that show, just proves that OTH is the show to watch.

I used to watch BH90210 all the time and it was my favorite show, but then OTH came out and by far OTH is so much better.

I'm sorry, but One Tree Hill is way better than some Beverly hills crap. One Tree Hill really rocks and i hope it keeps on going on in the future.

I was a huge fan of Beverly Hills 90210. I can honestly say that I never thought a show could even compare to the emotions and to the creativity of the show. However, I must say that One Tree Hill has become a huge obsession of mine. I believe that One Tree Hill touches on subjects of High School that people don't like talking about. Believe it or not there are preganices and marriages and drug uses and people aspiring to be famous who are somewhat famous in high school. One Tree Hill doesnt dance around it but really goes into it full force. So in comparsion one show is not better than the other. It is just done in different ways. I was obsessed with Beverly Hills and now am obsessed with One Tree Hill. Hopefully, one tree hill will be here to stay. Still think the mid-season arrangement is wrong. I don't think I can wait that long!

Well i was always a 90210 fanatic since i was younger i was hooked. right now im 23 and still love these shows. I dissagree with someone the things these people posted, it doesnt matter what age group you are im, everyone loves all these drama shows. One Tree Hill is a very good show, it has good plots and alot of the drama us the viewers love too see, if the show were such a flock none of us would be watching it. There are no favoritizisms, both were and are really great shows. What i do agree with is them fast fowarding it 4 years and skiping college, but i guess we will all have to wait sit back and enjoy the ride for the next season.

I defianlty loved 90210 but im totally obsessed with one tree hill, they are very different shows and they both touch on teenagers in different eras, honestly i know so many people who are 14 and have had sex and back then it wasnt so common a girl at my highschool in grade 9 was pregnant, stuff liek this does happen, i think both shows are just incredible and touched on different things

I used to be a HUGE OTH fan. I religiously watched the show for the first three seasons. Then I realized that the episodes were getting boring, the acting was not too great, and the storylines were just not too believeable. The fact that someone can even compare OTH to 90210 means they must not have appreciated 90210 for what it was. It touched every single issue young teens and older could or were bveing faced with. The acting was great and the problems were real. Also, it survived 10 seasons while OTH is struggling to finish its fourth. OTH is not even and never will be even close to the same level as 90210 is and was.

One Tree Hill is 10 times better than Beverly Hills 90210. Beverly Hills doesn't even come close to being as good of a show as One Tree Hill.

90210 was the begining of teen shows. It tackled alot of issues. And set the standard.

But I think OTH is just more rounded as a show. I think it has much better writing. It's never really let me down.

They listen to the fans. Yes I was disappointed when Brucas didnt end up together. But they had there chance. And the way the story was told, was much better then 90210 did with Kelly/Dylan/Brenda. It didnt make any sense.

I think OTH is doing great! I love the show, the cast and the characters. But the CW doesnt see that! THE FANS ARE SO ANGRY! If anything OTH is what makes the CW worth watching! With most the shows gone, and all these new shows, there isnt anything left BUT OTH. And the fact it's coming back as a mid season replacement makes no sense! If the network wants ratings, it needs to work with what's got, not bring something new in, that people most likely wont watch!

I watched 90210 for its entire run, but I feel One Tree Hill captured my attention much more than 90210. I loved both shows, but I really love One Tree Hill. The actors are fantastic. I think they all have so much talent. I certainly am sorry we have to wait until January to see most of them again. The new CW has disappointed me so much. I am praying they don't take One Tree Hill off. That would totally do that network in for me. You guys keep up the good work. Thanks for bringing Tree Hill to life for all of us. A huge fan, Sandra

BOTH shows are very different and have different kinds of viewers but if they are skipping the college years like i've heard it will never be able to compare to 90210 the college years were the ones that made 90210 the best show ever and there wont be any comparison. so i dont think someone can actually make such a decision. sorry!!! i like OTH but 90210 was GREAT!

I was a HUGE 90210 fan. That was my actual high school and college years. It seemed like everyone in my dorm watched 90210 and Melrose and then Party of Five. I think that in a lot of areas the One Tree Hill that they are trying to hard to make it over dramatic and emotional to sway viewers to keep watching. In my opinion they didn't do that with 90210. BH 90210 didn't have to take all these mid season breaks like OTH. BH9 did more episodes in their 4 years than OTH and had semi-real storylines. Real issues like AIDS, teen pregnancy, peer pressure, steroids and things that was really happening to teens. It seems like OTH is more like fantasy than real teen lives. I loved 90210 and I don't think any other teen drama will ever compare to it. It was the first and it is hard to repeat that formula again. Please don't forget 90210 took place in Beverly Hills and not all the kids had cellphones and their own cars and they ALL had parents that we saw several times each season. None of them were living independently without ANY responsibilities.

OTH is a really great show and like many others im absolutley obsessed, but OTH doenst touch 90210. Ive been watchin 90210 for a long time and i believe its got the real drama and realistic story lines that OTH doesn't.

well first of all i dont think the 2 shows can really compare.. they both have some strong points. 90210 was the best thing on air at the time! it was more believable than oth and ita aired for so long that you could really see the evolution of the characters.. oth is more what would happen to the next generation of teens, because seriously what happens in that show that everyone had sex around 15..cheated with others,,marriage,pregnancy, psychotic fake brother etc is not realistic.. it sound more like a show that their in their 20's then their 15-18yrs old. so listening to oth u have to adjust more.

Well, I do remember 90210, and I loved that show.
Now, I am a stay at home mom of two kids, and this is the only show I watch. Each week, the kids are in bed by 8:00, and if they get up, it's daddy who puts them back to bed.
For it not being realistic, I understand for most people its not.
However, I moved out when I was 15, went to high school, vo-tech and worked 3 part-time jobs at the same time. Started college. Started a great career, got married, have two wonderful kids, own my own home, have two cars paid off and now choose to be a stay at home mom - and I'm 23.

OTH is simply the next generation of 90210 - I would say that it is better or worst - it comes from two different time period. They were/are great teen dramas that touched on the hot issues going on in the world at the time tapped.

OK.......my secret is out! I absolutely LOVED 90210 and I am dreading the season ending of OTH. I'm old enough to remember the love for 90210, but young enough to be a total fan of OTH. Which is best? Let's just say, if they were both on at the same time......I'd be completely nutts trying to DVR one and watch the other! I couldn't forsake either!

How shall I put this delicately.... if you're old enough to remember 90210 fondly (like I am) you're probably too old to appreciate OTH. Similarly, if you think OTH is the Best! Thing! EVER!!! you probably were in diapers when 90210 aired.

Having said that, I do think the cast of OTH is a hell of a lot prettier than the cast of 90210, but that's incredibly shallow. And I'm ok with that.

90210 was on for 10 seasons. Has any other teen drama lasted that long? Rumor has it OTH is skipping the college years. The only teen drama I recall beginning in High School and surviving the college years was...90210. Enough said.

Well you and the Boston's Now tv editor are both on drugs. Are you really kidding saying that One Tree Hill's lame fictional high school kids are better than 90210. At least the things that happened on 90210 are things that really happen and could happen in the lives of teenagers,and yound adults. How many 16 yr old's get married, have kids, go on tour, don't live with their parents, have a number of homes to themselves, and have clothing lines. Get real.

I have to say that I just recently started watching 90210 on SOAPnet about a month or so ago and while I absolutely love OTH I really enjoy watching the show. I do think it's absolutely hysterical that they're photos are the same, but I can honestly say that I'd call the shows even, at least from what I've seen of 90210. :)
