Post of the Week: Are Top Models Really "Top" Models?
![]()
While we were sifting though all the crazy comments you guys left this week (we already knew Jensen Ackles had a lot of fans, but wow, the response!), we came across this particularly interesting assertion:
"I believe she asks to be called 'Dani' now. Like all top models she will disappear only to reappear on a vh1 reality tv special." - tracy, in response to Top Model's Danielle Is Featured In Elle (Yes, We Like to Rhyme)
Is Tracy on target? Do you think ANTM gives its models an "in" into the industry as advertised? Or is the show just a reality show and not really a springboard for success? Or do the winners just squander their chances?
Comments
Do you think there will be more than 10 cycles of ANTM????

Hello. Does anyone know when and where the next casting for ANTM is?

I think America's Next Top Model is an in to the industry. But when the show ends, it's up to the individual winner to make themself a memorable model.

I disagree. I've seen many of the Top Models in print ads and on television. I think that they definitely have the opportunity to become successful in the modeling industry. As far as being America's Next TOP Model--well. That has yet to be seen but you never know.
