I have been recently learned from the VA that I have an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Though it is not at the operational stage, I have researched online procedure alternatives that include stents that reduce treatment and recovery times. What are your thoughts on stents for aneurysms as opposed to clogged arteries?

Are there different kinds of stents? What's the best kind to get?

I have frequent tachycardia and chest pains.
I had a drug-eluting coronary artery stent in 2005. I didn't really want the stent, but doctors insisted that I needed it before they would do another procedure that was necessary.
However, I admit that I have been a very non-compliant patient, refusing to take any medications. The problem is that I have a strong preference for dietary changes, and my doctors seem to only want to discuss drugs.
As a result, I have done a lot of reading and a lot of self-experimentation, and I have found that my chest discomfort and tachycardia are greatly reduced on a low-carb diet and especially on a grain-free gluten-free diet.
Why couldn't I have gotten that information from doctors, instead of them wanting me on numerous daily drug?
