More on the first cat to get swine flu
Earlier this week Unleashed told you about the first documented case of H1N1, the Swine Flu, in a cat.
The cat, which has recovered, is believed to have caught the virus from someone in the household who was sick with H1N1.
The New York Times offers some more details -- and some of them, I'll admit, I like cause they're cute -- about the infected kitty.
Though the cat's owner are keeping a low profile, the doctor who treated the kitty offered some details. For instance, the famous anonymous cat is a 16-pound orange tabby who's 13-years old. And here is the best part, the cat is described at "large framed but not chubby."
LOL. Anyone who's ever had a 16-pound cat (I have a certain sizeable Pumpkin) always says it's large framed but not fat. Too funny.
Anyway, the Times says the cat is almost back to normal -- and already sitting on the window sill again, scouting out squirrels. Good kitty.

Comments
Hi there, I am glad to hear the cat is recovering well. I just lost my cat today, it stopped eating and drinking and this was related to its passing. She was a beautiful six year old 14 lb Tortie who had a very large frame. Her brother has an even larger frame and is 17 lb. Their father was an even larger Tom. When our Lucky Girl passed she weighed 11 lb. Cats can be large boned. Mine are and were. I'm going to miss Lucky very much.
