Bo Obama: That's the spot

Of all the pictures of Bo Obama that Unleashed has been faithfully documenting since the First Puppy's debut last spring, the ones that show him interacting with his family are the best. (Like these.)

You have to love this one, of the president giving Bo a scratch on his oh-so-furry belly. Bo's tongue is out. Clearly he's in doggie heaven.

Even better -- the rub-down is happening on the edge of the Oval Office, where important matters of state and belly rubs happen.

BONUS BO: MOST EXCELLENT BO RELATED BUSINESS AFTER THE JUMP!

This frisky party-hearty fellah is Bo's brother, Cappy. Cappy, at the White House for Bo's first birthday party last month, clearly hasn't had the manners lesson from the White House social team. He's jumping right onto the treat table to snag a cookie.

Those photos are incredible! I love the ones with family interaction, too. It's so easy to see that the family really loves Bo. ... And what a treat to see Bo's brother! Too cute that he has (at least) one white paw, too!

I have read the article based on the president and its dog.I like snaps and given information which clarify the post.I love the ones with family. The foundation should be so high that it can be unbreakable at instance.

I am glad the president got himself a dog. Dogs add a lot of happiness to peoples lives and I have noticed in Brooklyn were I am from more and more people are getting dogs. I wonder if a dog would make a better symbol for America than the bald eagle. I don’t think I have ever seen a bald eagle in person and I know I have never seen one make my friends happy.

About Jill Rosen
Jill Rosen is a reporter at The Baltimore Sun. During her nearly 20 years in journalism, she has covered news and features — including a surprising number of stories that involved animals. There were the dog Christmas carolers in State College, Pa. There were the hounds who toured with a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The story of a preschool teacher at Baltimore’s Father Kolbe School who had to replace her class guinea pig, who died over the winter holiday. A harrowing tale of what it was like to make homemade pet food ...

Though her clean freak of a mother refused to allow her to get a dog, she has had a number of pets through the years, including goldfish named Bob and Fingle, a betta fish named Ichabod, a wild rat terrier named Wendel, who she shared with a roommate, and, currently, sweet, sweet kitties named Leo Sesame and Milo Pumpkin and a little rescued pup named Teddy Bean. She, Leo, Pumpkin and Teddy Bean live in Baltimore.
