Cute Costume Coundown: Bail Bonds Pen!

It's hard to say enough about the Baltimore fabulousness that is this costume. Brilliant really. Somehow Tito the Chihuahua didn't win Best Hon costume in BARCStoberfest last weekend in this. I don't know why. A Big Boyz Bail Bonds giveaway pen.... Sigh.... I think the genius might have been too much, ahead of its time.....

Big huge round of Unleashed applause to Healy and Alexey for putting it together.

Bravo, Healy and Alexey. This is wonderful. I love it!

That's amazing. I laughed out loud.

THIS DOG WAS ROBBED!!

I hope all this fame and publicity don't go to your heads!

great! If I didn't have a costume planned for myself already, I would totally steal this (um... and vertical-ize it). Also, I would love to see Tito try to run through the house in this.

This was the one that gave me the best belly laugh in a long, long time . . . and happy tears. Healy and Alexey were robbed of the prize for sure!

The dog with a tailgate party complete with grill and fixin's strapped over him was another one that did it for me.

Great Job to All!

congrats tito! i'm sorry those pesky humans of yours are always getting the credit for your fabulous ideas.....

If anyone knows how to get in touch with Healy and Alexey please e-mail me at robertmsiegel@gmail.com. We would love to interview them about their costume and publish a piece for our website.

OMG, too cute for words. This costume was a winner for anyone who saw it. It just has that undescribable look that costumes should have (be they sported by pets or humans). I have my own opinion abt costuming pets but when you get this as a final result. As long as Tito gets to shed the costume as soon as he's had enough it works.....

Wow - BBBB wants to interview Tito for their website? A Star is Born!!!

Tito could become a spokesperson for doggie cuteness and responsible dog ownership and supporting shelters like BARCS bringing his message to people outside of those that were at the festival.. . BBBB's market.. . . one that we need to reach out to.. . while promoting "The Pen."

I think he needs an agent : )

Very cool....Dogs + bail bonds company promotion = a winner in my book anytime!

About Jill Rosen
Jill Rosen is a reporter at The Baltimore Sun. During her nearly 20 years in journalism, she has covered news and features — including a surprising number of stories that involved animals. There were the dog Christmas carolers in State College, Pa. There were the hounds who toured with a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The story of a preschool teacher at Baltimore’s Father Kolbe School who had to replace her class guinea pig, who died over the winter holiday. A harrowing tale of what it was like to make homemade pet food ...

Though her clean freak of a mother refused to allow her to get a dog, she has had a number of pets through the years, including goldfish named Bob and Fingle, a betta fish named Ichabod, a wild rat terrier named Wendel, who she shared with a roommate, and, currently, sweet, sweet kitties named Leo Sesame and Milo Pumpkin and a little rescued pup named Teddy Bean. She, Leo, Pumpkin and Teddy Bean live in Baltimore.
