B-More Dog Happy Hour/Auction tonight

B-More Dog is having a fundraiser happy hour and silent auction tonight at Bad Decisions in Fells Point.

It's a nice opportunity to get out and help the group that does so much to help pit bulls. Or, heck, just celebrate the fact that it's finally stopped raining. It starts at 6 p.m.

On Oct. 25 the group will also be marking "Pit Bull Awareness Day" at the Baltimore Humane Society -- at the same event alongside Rescue Ink. There will be a control class from noon to 1 p.m., pit bull-centric demonstrations, weight pull demos, a narcotics-dog demonstration from Mutt Magic, an agility dog demo, and more. All The event will take place from noon to 4.

The pup pictured above belongs to B-More Dog's Erin Sullivan. He's Doc, a 7-year-old American pit bull terrier.

YES! As a member of B-More Dog we are very excited about tonight and this weekend. It's going to be a great time for a great cause.

Thanks so much, Jill!

Are dogs invited to the event on Sunday?

Outside dogs (other than the selected pit bulls who will be performing and the ones already at Baltimore Humane) shouldn't be at this event.

But bring pictures for the big guys (and us) to see!!

Will do. Thanks!

Hey Jill, Thanks for the exposure! Come have a "Pitini" with us tonight! --Erin

B-More Dog would like to thank everyone who came out for the Happy Hour last night and helped to make our event a big success!!

Pitbull awareness day sounds like a great cause, we rescued our pit from a local shelter, we called him Huckleberry and he is the sweetest dog we own! He also looks just like your photo from the article, check him out on our site wearing a recycled rubber dog collar;

About Jill Rosen
Jill Rosen is a reporter at The Baltimore Sun. During her nearly 20 years in journalism, she has covered news and features — including a surprising number of stories that involved animals. There were the dog Christmas carolers in State College, Pa. There were the hounds who toured with a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The story of a preschool teacher at Baltimore’s Father Kolbe School who had to replace her class guinea pig, who died over the winter holiday. A harrowing tale of what it was like to make homemade pet food ...

Though her clean freak of a mother refused to allow her to get a dog, she has had a number of pets through the years, including goldfish named Bob and Fingle, a betta fish named Ichabod, a wild rat terrier named Wendel, who she shared with a roommate, and, currently, sweet, sweet kitties named Leo Sesame and Milo Pumpkin and a little rescued pup named Teddy Bean. She, Leo, Pumpkin and Teddy Bean live in Baltimore.
