BARCStoberfest, scheduled for Saturday in Patterson Park, has been postponed to Sunday Oct. 25 because of the weather.

world's worst! i'll be in dominican republic and tig will be in ri! why am i missing all the fun doggy events???!!! this sucks!

Maybe Rescue Ink can come into Baltimore City and stop by the BARCStober Fest on the way home from the Humane Society Tatoo event in the county to show support for BARCS. If that is possible, it would then be a perfect day for the "cause."

Thank You Jill for spreading the word about BARCStoberfest's postponement.

I think this is an Oh Yes! Rescue Ink shouldn't have a problem swinging by BARCStoberfest, AND I can show the guys my very recent paw print ink.

I'm one of the co-chairs for BARCStoberfest and we would LOVE to have the Rescue Ink guys stop by the event!!! Maybe they could talk about the Franky Fund for Sick & Injured Animals that provided the initial money to care for Phoenix and the other horrible acts of animal cruelty that occured this past year. It would be great to have their support since BARCS is usually the first place an abused animal goes...Let us know if they want to come and we can incorporate them into the formal program! Thanks!

Hi Jill,

Please let your readers know that BARCStoberfest is changing its location in Patterson Park.

We will be having the festival in the area of the park around the Pagoda! What a lovely spot with the beautiful Pagoda, the nice fountain and the historic white house!

Hope to see everyone there. Remember this gives everyone an extra week to raise sponsorships. Top prize is a DELL LAPTOP!

Thanks for your support Jill!

About Jill Rosen
Jill Rosen is a reporter at The Baltimore Sun. During her nearly 20 years in journalism, she has covered news and features — including a surprising number of stories that involved animals. There were the dog Christmas carolers in State College, Pa. There were the hounds who toured with a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The story of a preschool teacher at Baltimore’s Father Kolbe School who had to replace her class guinea pig, who died over the winter holiday. A harrowing tale of what it was like to make homemade pet food ...

Though her clean freak of a mother refused to allow her to get a dog, she has had a number of pets through the years, including goldfish named Bob and Fingle, a betta fish named Ichabod, a wild rat terrier named Wendel, who she shared with a roommate, and, currently, sweet, sweet kitties named Leo Sesame and Milo Pumpkin and a little rescued pup named Teddy Bean. She, Leo, Pumpkin and Teddy Bean live in Baltimore.
