Reward doubles in tortured kitties case
The reward to find the perpetrators in the case of the cats tortured in Baltimore has doubled to $2,000.
A second cat was found last week in Northwest Baltimore, burned, beaten and tied to a school fence.
The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter said that this is the second cat found like this in the area in two weeks. The cat was discovered in the 3700 block of Lewiston Avenue, near Arlington Elementary School.
Fireworks were set up under its head. At least one leg was broken and it had been set on fire and severely burned. Just like the cat found two weeks ago, a blue cord was tied around its neck.
The reward is for information, arrest and conviction. Police are investigating the case.
The extra $1,000 raising the initial reward comes from the Maryland SPCA. BARCS put up the initial money.
"It's horrible," says Debra Rahl, BARCS programs director. "This was someone's pet....
"We hope that they will find the person or persons guilty of this crime."
BARCS officials hope anyone who knows anything will report the information to Animal Control at 410-396-4698.

This unfortunately doesn't surprise me at all. The city and its residents are all sending a strong message that animal life doesn't matter. After all, humans are dying! Pfft... every story like this puts me one day closer to moving. But I doubt anyone will mind. After all, I'm not collecting welfare and selling drugs. So my opinion doesn't really matter. Baltimore will never be anything other than a slime-filled ghetto.

Well I guess since the low-life imbeciles of Baltimore City don't take much consideration for human life then why should they for an animal? I have lived here my whole life and an have seen nothing but my tax dollars going to the useless garbage that they move into the city and continue to fund. In all honesty, I think that the penalty for animal cruelty, regardless of severity, should be a minimum of 10 years and they should not have the option to be released on bail, Or maybe go back to the days of eye for an eye. Maybe that way they suffer a punishment that might affect them other then a slap on the wrist. Got to love our wonderful mayor Sheila Dixon, she is more concerned on counterfeiting the city then actually taking care of it.
I guess really there is no point in moving to a surrounding county because they have infested there as well.
