Katy Perry kissed a cat -- and liked it

Singer Katy Perry of I Kissed A Girl fame apparently has thrown a few smooches to her cat, too.

According to the Kansas City Star, Perry, recently reunited with her boyfriend, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy, said after a four-month split, that she prefers her cat, Kitty Purry, to men because her relationship with her furry feline friend won't make the cover of gossip magazines.

"I'm a bit obsessed with my cat. She's my substitute boyfriend," the 24-year-old singer told the paper. "It's pretty funny that I can't go for dinner with someone and not be sleeping with them. That's one of the unfair things. I have iChat dates, those are fun."

The singer earlier this year, when she was broken up with her man, was telling everyone she was taking a vow of celibacy for 2009 -- except for Kitty Purry kisses.
