Jessica Simpson's meat shirt
Jessica Simpson was photographed as she arrived at the Los Angeles airport Friday wearing a "Real Girls Eat Meat" T-shirt.
It didn't take long for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to pounce on her for her non-vegetarian ways.
The photo to the right is one doctored (the word "stupid" has been inserted) and posted on "The PETA Files," a PETA blog.
"For a gal who's best known for her less-than-stellar brains (Chicken of the Sea, anyone?) and her ability to proportionately fill out daisy dukes, I'm gonna go on record saying that if anyone had to wear a ridiculous shirt like this, I'm glad it was Jessica — as people are more likely to follow the opposite of her lead," a PETA blogger wrote. Maybe the meat-eaters of the world will be embarrassed to be categorized in the same field as Jessica Simpson."
Simpson family insiders told OK! Magazine that the slogan is a dig at boyfriend Tony Romo’s ex-girlfriend, country superstar Carrie Underwood -- who has twice been named "World’s Sexiest Vegetarian" by PETA.
In case this doesn't already have you feeling like you're back in junior high, the PETA blog also lists "the top five reasons that only stupid girls brag about eating meat."
Here they are in their entirety:
1. Meat increases the risk of breast cancer. A 2007 study of 35,000 women published in the British Journal of Cancer found that women who ate meat were far more likely to develop breast cancer than women who consumed none. Will Jessica's next t-shirt will say, "Real Girls Smoke 3 Packs a Day"?
2. Real girls don't support animal abuse. Compassion is super sexy, if the huge number of hot celebs ditching meat is any indication. Young women turn vegetarian in droves when they learn that the meat industry cuts the sensitive beaks off newborn chicks and cuts off the tails of baby piglets.
3. The meat industry is destroying the Earth. The only thing that's hot about the meat industry is that it's toasting the planet. According to the United Nations, raising animals for food causes more greenhouse-gas emissions than all the cars, trucks, SUVs, planes, and ships in the world combined.
4. Meat will make you fat. All the saturated fat and cholesterol in chicken wings, pork chops, and steak eventually leads to flabby thighs and love handles. I hope the upcoming "Jessica Simpson's Intimates" line comes in plus sizes! Going vegetarian is the best way to get slim and stay that way.
5. Eating meat steals food from starving kids. Jessica's trip to help kids in Africa got a lot of media buzz, but by gnawing on meat, she's essentially stealing food from the mouths of starving children since it takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just 1 pound of meat. If more people went vegetarian, we'd free up enough grain to feed every person in the world.

Comments
This is bullcrap. Let Jessica wear any shirt she wants. Your going to jump on her like she is the only one in the world who eats meat? Have some humor you dumb SOB's. I'm sure if anybody else wore that shirt, nobody would care.

PETA members are insane!!!!!
Ask Hollywood's elite (most fit) how they stay in shape, being a vegan is one way, but chainsmoking (which most of hollywood does) is the real way they stay in shape and plus plastic surgery. Plus, in Hollywood, everyone does what everyone else does, there is no real humane reason they don't eat meat except right now it is the current trend. That, plus smoking like a chimney.
Eating meat moderately like everything else is fine. Who wants to eat grass or tofu anyway?

Not eating meat for health reasons may make some sense. But for morality reasons??? Maybe they should get mad at lions, tigers, sharks, bears, hyenas, wolves...........

Seems to be most vegetarians have their heart in the right place, it is just they are un-educated and don't understand what they are doing. It is very important that we have people who look out for the welfare of others. Of course attacking celebrities for wearing funning t-shirts may not be the most effective method to get your point across. If you haven't seen the t-shirt the above article is referring to, it is simply a very tight t-shirt that says Real Girls Eat Meat. Now I think she was referring to the certain sexual acts and not actual meat. PETA, you might wanna learn how to take a joke.
My main beef (yes, I meant the pun) is that most vegetarians I have come across have no clue what they are talking about and are passing inaccurate information on.. It seems to me that passing on untrue information would only hurt their cause. Unfortunately our society is so far removed from agriculture, people will believe damn there anything you tell them.
So in an effort to diffuse some common myths about production agriculture I am going to dissect the above article paragraph by paragraph and explain the top 5 list above. I am not being mean, I am not attacking the writer of above article, I just want you to know why farmers do things.
Ok here we go.
Again this is just ONE study. I found many more studies that refute the above statement. In fact grassfed beef contains Omega-3 fatty acids, which actually have been shown to reduce your risk of cancer but also depression, schizophrenia, attention deficit disorder (hyperactivity), or Alzheimer's disease. Remember to look at more then one source, studies change everyday.
Why do we cut tails off pigs and beaks off chicks? To be mean? No because DOMESTIC animals cannot take care of themselves. We trim pig's tales when they are babies because if they remain the other pigs with eat and chew on other pigs tails. It hurts an adult pig way more to have his tail chewed off by another pig then one safe, clean trim by the farmer. Same with baby chicks. When they are born they have what is called an egg tooth, they use it to peck through the egg to hatch. In the wild the chicks would eventually wear it down getting food. But because the chickens are DOMESTIC, they lost the ability to grind their tooth off themselves, so farmers do it to keep the chicks from pecking themselves to death. It's kinda like circumcising a baby human, it protects them from lots of bad stuff down the road.
Do some research. Animal handling and humane practices are number 1 important to Farmer's. We don't make money if our animals aren't happy. Unhappy animals do not flourish, we get paid by the pound. Meatpackers won't buy our animals if they aren't happy and healthy because consumers have demanded it.
3. The meat industry is destroying the Earth. The only thing that's hot about the meat industry is that it's toasting the planet. According to the United Nations, raising animals for food causes more greenhouse-gas emissions than all the cars, trucks, SUVs, planes, and ships in the world combined.
I would love to see this study. You are telling me that the animals on earth cause more damage then all of the cars, trucks, SUVS, planes and ships? Really? Does that sound right to you? Tell me then what about all the animals before we had cars. Was the world still polluted because of the cows?
This is how this question was answered to me. If you had to spend the night in a closed off room, with no fresh air, what would you rather have for a roommate? A single cow or a single running car? I know that one cow will not fill that room up with enough methane to kill you, but I know that car would. Explain to me how cows produce more gas again. A new study that came out a few months ago from UC Davis reported that cows do not produce as much methane as once thought, funny how you never read stuff like that. And now Farmer's have figured out how to catch that methane and convert it into electricity.
Animals contribute to the health of our planet. Not only do they fertilize with their poop, they aerate the soil with their hooves, they moves seeds around, control fire danger, they eat grass that humans are unable to digest
Actually I agree with this. Too much of anything is bad for you. If you eat meat according to our diet regulations you won't get fat. In fact meat has a lot of nutrients, duh. It is a waste of my time to go any farther with this. Basically if you eat healthy and exercise, you aren't going to get fat. Also look at my grassfed beef blog.
This annoys me. First off the grain we feed to cows isn't the same grain we feed to people. It's called silage, and it is a mix of corn. Corn as we all know from our poop isn't easily digested in the human stomach, it needs to be soaked in lie or/and other chemical procedures need to be preformed before we can digest it. Plus grassfed beef doesn't even use corn, just grass that humans can't and don't eat. So no we would not have enough grain to feed everyone in the world, or we would they would just have corny poo.
People research! I know you are passionate about animals, but it doesn't make you right. Farmer's know what we are doing. The more you fight us the more you ultimately suffer. Take an economics class. By running us out of business you are forcing our meat production to other countries where they don't have humane handling practices, where they cut down rainforests, where they can feed other animals to animals. Please research what you are doing before it is too late. Keep your food in America!
Please if you have any questions or want to question my sources please e-mail me. I would love to provide safe, true information or farm tours to anyone that has questions.

Whatever your qualms about PETA, you must admit:
1. Jessica Simpson is an idiot.
2. Vegetarians save approximately 86 animals per year. How's that for real?
Posted by: Beverly | June 17, 2008 9:29 PM
I hate to break it to you Dee, but vegetarians don't eat grass. Every form of dead animal product -hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. -comes in a vegetarian form made of seitan, tempeh, tofu, yuba, or soy protein. And as hard as it is to believe, it's a lot healthier than greasy pig fat. Imagine that.

The members of PETA won't be happy until they're able to control what we think, feel, wear, eat, and do.
Fortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon.

My hats off to you Jessica !! PETA is one of the most out of touch, ill informed group of nuts ever.
I saw what they did to a mink ranch in MN a few years ago. Hundreds of mink were killed on I 35 due to their misguided thought process.
Where can I get a T like hers for my wife. Eat meat and stay healthy..

In his 1975 book, Animal Liberation, Australian philosopher Peter Singer writes:
"Killing an animal is in itself a troubling act. It has been said that if we had to kill our own meat we would all be vegetarians. There may be exceptions to that general rule, but it is true that most people prefer not to inquire into the killing of the animals they eat.
"Very few people ever visit a slaughterhouse; and films of slaughterhouse operations are rarely shown on television...Yet those who, by their purchases, require animals to be killed have no right to be shielded from this or any other aspect of the production of the meat they buy.
"If it is distasteful for humans to think about, what can it be like for the animals to experience it?"
Peter Singer concludes in Animal Liberation that "by ceasing to rear and kill animals for food, we can make extra food available for humans that, properly distributed, it would eliminate starvation and malnutrition from this planet. Animal Liberation is Human Liberation, too."
The number of animals killed for food in the United States is 70 times larger than the number of animals killed in laboratories, 30 times larger than the number of animals killed by hunters and trappers, and 500 times larger than the number of animals killed in animal pounds.
"If anyone wants to save the planet," says Paul McCartney in a PETA interview, "all they have to do is just stop eating meat. That's the single most important thing you could do. It's staggering when you think about it. Vegetarianism takes care of so many things in one shot: ecology, famine, cruelty. Let's do it! Linda was right. Going veggie is the single best idea for the new century."
The animal rights movement should be supported by all caring Americans.

My, my, funny how meat eaters get all worked up and defensive and say nasty things, then claim vegetarians (and vegans) are overreacting and must be oh so wrong. I don't care what you do to yourself as long as what you do doesn't harm another animal. If you want to eat yourself into an early grave, be my guest. I care about the animals abused and killed for no reason, since we don't need them to survive. Don't even try comparing how humans kill other non-human animals to how other animals kill to survive. It's ridiculous.

Megan,
I'm sorry but your info is not accurate at all, it sounds like the PR releases from the meat industry. There are many website setup by meat industry front goups and it sounds like you got all your info is copy and pasted from those sources.
Factory farmed animals are not happy and healthy. One of the single biggest myths is that it's in the best interest of farmers to ensure their animals are happy and healthy. This is absolutely not true. Most farm animals are miserable and live horrific lives in unnatural confined conditions without access to land, fresh air, suffer from infections, depression, over-crowding, and so on. They get fat because they are bred to be fat and meaty and pumped full of hormones and antibiotics. Unhappy people with unlimited access to fatting foods and limited access to movement, can be fat, just like animals.
I believe PETA is quoting the United Nations study that says "meat industry produces more greenhouse gases than all the SUVs, Hummers, cars, trucks, planes, and ships in the world combined." This report outlines that it's not just cow farts but the entire production process. In addition, you absolutely can't discount the immense water pollution, water usage, and fuel wasted in animal agriculture.
We as a society suffer from moral schizophrenia. We recognize it it is not ok to cause unnecessary suffering and death on animals for pleasure, amusement or convenience, in fact we ridicule and throw people in jail and for doing it to dogs and cats. We realize that these animals, while they can't speak our language, or do algebra or write poetry, they are sentient, aware of themselves as individuals in the world, they feel and want to avoid pain and suffering. Yet every time we sit down to eat, we partake in that pain and suffering for the simple reason that flesh tastes good.
I like many vegans, think that PETA is ridiculous and very counter productive. I cringed when I saw this article just like their other stupid stunts.

Amanda:
According to the Bible, God intended the entire human race to follow a vegetarian diet (Genesis 1:29). Paradise is vegetarian. Rashi (Rabbi Solomon von Isaac, 1030-1105), the famous Jewish Bible commentator, taught that "God did not permit Adam and his wife to kill a creature and to eat its flesh. Only every green herb shall they all eat together." Ibn Ezra and other Jewish biblical commentators agree.
According to the Talmud, "Adam and many generations that followed him were strict flesh-abstainers; flesh-foods were rejected as repulsive for human consumption." Although man was made in God's image and given dominion over all creation (Genesis 1:26-28), these verses do not justify humans killing animals and devouring them, because God immediately proclaims He created the plants for human consumption. (Genesis 1:29)
In a letter to Pope John Paul II, challenging him on the issue of animal experimentation, Dr. Michael Fox of the Humane Society argued that the word "dominion" is derived from the original Hebrew word "rahe" which refers to compassionate stewardship, instead of power and control. Parents have dominion over their children; they do not have a license to kill, torment or abuse them. The Talmud (Shabbat 119; Sanhedrin 7) interprets "dominion" to mean animals may be used for labor.
Man was made in God's image (Genesis 1:26) and told to be vegetarian (Genesis 1:29). "And God saw all that He had made and saw that it was very good." (Genesis 1:31) Complete and perfect harmony. Everything in the beginning was the way God wanted it. Vegetarianism was part of God's initial plan for the world.
"It appears that the first intention of the Maker was to have men live on a strictly vegetarian diet," writes Rabbi Simon Glazer, in his 1971 Guide to Judaism. "The very earliest periods of Jewish history are marked with humanitarian conduct towards the lower animal kingdom...It is clearly established that the ancient Hebrews knew, and perhaps were the first among men to know, that animals feel and suffer pain."
After the Flood, God revised His commandment against flesh-eating. Human beings, since eating of the forbidden fruit, seemed incapable of obedience on this issue. One Jewish writer comments, "Only after man had proven unfit for the high moral standard given at the beginning, was meat made a part of the humans' diet."
In their book, The Nine Questions People Ask About Judaism, Dennis Prager and Rabbi Telushkin explain: "Keeping kosher is Judaism's compromise with its ideal vegetarianism. Ideally, according to Judaism, man would confine his eating to fruits and vegetables and not kill animals for food."
In his excellent A Guide to the Misled, Rabbi Shmuel Golding explains the orthodox Jewish position concerning animal sacrifices: "When G-d gave our ancestors permission to make sacrifices to Him, it was a concession, just as when He allowed us to have a king (I Samuel 8), but He gave us a whole set of rules and regulations concerning sacrifice that, when followed, would be superior to and distinct from the sacrificial system of the heathens."
Some biblical passages denounce animal sacrifice (Isaiah 1:11,15; Amos 5:21-25). Other passages state that animal sacrifices, not necessarily incurring God's wrath, are unnecessary (I Kings 15:22; Jeremiah 7:21-22; Hosea 6:6; Hosea 8:13; Micah 6:6-8; Psalm 50:1-14; Psalm 40:6; Proverbs 21:3; Ecclesiastes 5:1).
Sometimes Christians cite Isaiah 1:11, where God says, "I am full of the burnt offerings..." The word "full" implies God accepted the sacrifices. However, in Isaiah 43:23-24, God says: "You have not honored Me with your sacrifices...rather you have burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me with your iniquities." This suggests, as Moses Maimonides taught and Rabbi Shmuel Golding confirms above, that "the sacrifices were a concession to barbarism."
Jesus taught his disciples to pray for the coming of God's kingdom (Matthew 6:9-10), the kingdom of peace, in which the entire world is restored to a vegetarian paradise (Genesis 1:29; Isaiah 11:6-9). Recalling Psalm 37:11, he said blessed the meek, saying they would inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5) The kingdom of God belongs to the gentle and kind (Matthew 5:7-9) Christians are to "Be merciful, just as your Father is also merciful." (Luke 6:36) Those who take up the sword must perish by the sword. (Matthew 26:52)
Jesus spoke of God's tender care for the nonhuman creation (Matthew 6:26-30, 10:29-31; Luke 12:6-7, 24-28). Jesus taught that God desires "mercy and not sacrifice." (Matthew 9:10-13, 12:6-7; Mark 2:15-17; Luke 5:29-32) The epistle to the Hebrews 10:5-10 suggests that Jesus did not come to abolish the Law and the prophets, but only the institution of animal sacrifice, as does Jesus' cleansing the Temple of those who were buying and selling animals for sacrifice and his overturning the tables of the moneychangers in the Temple. (Matthew 21:12-14; Mark 11:15-17; Luke 19:45-46; John 2:14-17)
Jesus not only repeatedly upheld Mosaic Law (Matthew 5:17-19; Mark 10:17-22; Luke 16:17), he justified his healing on the Sabbath by referring to commandments calling for the humane treatment of animals.
When teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath, Jesus healed a woman who had been ill for eighteen years. He justified his healing work on the Sabbath by referring to biblical passages calling for the humane treatment of animals as well as their rest on the Sabbath. "So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham...be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?" Jesus asked. (Luke 13:10-16)
On another occasion, Jesus again referred to Torah teaching on "tsa'ar ba'alei chayim" or compassion for animals to justify healing on the Sabbath. "Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?" (Luke 14:1-5)
Jesus compared saving sinners who had gone astray from God's kingdom to rescuing lost sheep. He recalled a Jewish legend about Moses' compassion as a shepherd for his flock. (Luke 15:3-7,10)
Jesus insisted upon the moral standards given by God in the beginning (Matthew 5:31-32, 19:3-9; Mark 10:2-12; Luke 16:18), and this did not go unnoticed by early church fathers such as St. Jerome.
From history, too, we learn that the earliest Christians were vegetarians as well as pacifists. For example, Clemens Prudentius, the first Christian hymn writer, in one of his hymns exhorts his fellow Christians not to pollute their hands and hearts by the slaughter of innocent cows and sheep, and points to the variety of nourishing and pleasant foods obtainable without blood-shedding.
Some of the most distinguished figures in the history of Christianity have been vegetarian. A partial list includes: St. James, St. Matthew, Clemens Prudentius, Origen, Tertullian, Clement of Alexandria, St. Basil, St. Jerome, St. John Chrysostom, St. Benedict, Aegidius, Boniface, St. Richard of Wyche, St. Columba, St. Filipo Neri, John Wray, Thomas Tryon, John Wesley, Joshua Evans, William Metcalfe, General William Booth, Ellen White, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, and Reverend V.A. Holmes-Gore.
Reverend Marc Wessels of the International Network for Religion and Animals (INRA) writes:
"The most important teaching which Jesus shared was the need for people to love God with their whole self and to love their neighbor as they loved themselves. Jesus expanded the concept of neighbor to include those who were normally excluded, and it is therefore not too farfetched for us to consider the animals as our neighbors.
"To think about animals as our brothers and sisters is not a new or radical idea. By extending the idea of neighbor, the love of neighbor includes love of, compassion for, and advocacy of animals. There are many historical examples of Christians who thought along those lines, besides the familiar illustration of St. Francis. An abbreviated listing of some of those individuals worthy of study and emulation includes Saint Blaise, Saint Comgall, Saint Cuthbert, Saint Gerasimus, Saint Giles, and Saint Jerome, to name but a few."
According to contemporary Benedictine monk, Brother David Steindl-Rast:
"...the survival of our planet depends on our sense of belonging---to all other humans, to dolphins caught in dragnets, to pigs and chickens and calves raised in animal concentration camps, to redwoods and rainforests, to kelp beds in our oceans, and to the ozone layer."
In a sermon preached in York Minster, September 28, 1986, John Austin Baker, the Bishop of Salisbury, England, attacked the overcrowded confinement methods of raising and killing animals for food ("factory farming"), choosing as his example, the treatment of chickens:
"Is there any credit balance for the battery hen, denied almost all natural functioning, all normal environment, lapsing steadily into deformity and disease, for the whole of her existence?" he asked. "It is in the battery shed and the broiler house, not in the wild, that we find the true parallel to Auschwitz. Auschwitz is a purely human invention."
Rick Dunkerly of Christ Lutheran Church says:
"The Bible-believing Christian, should, of all people, be on the frontline in the struggle for animal welfare and rights. We who are Christians should be treating the animal creation now as it will be treated then, at Christ's second coming. It will not now be perfect, but it must be substantial, otherwise we have missed our calling, and we grieve the One we call 'Lord,' who was born in a stable surrounded by animals simply because He chose it that way."
Rose Evans, editor and publisher of Harmony: Voices for a Just Future, a "consistent-ethic" periodical on the religious Left, says there are more Christian vegetarians than Jewish vegetarians. Yet some people still react to the idea of Christian vegetarianism as though it were an oxymoron.
"Every year," says Reverend Andrew Linzey, author of Christianity and the Rights of Animals, "I receive hundreds of anguished letters from Christians who are so distressed by the insensitivity to animals shown by mainstream churches that they have left them or are on the verge of doing so...The time is long overdue to take the issue of animal rights to the churches...
"I derive hope from the Gospel preaching that the same God who draws us to such affinity and intimacy with suffering creatures declared that reality on a Cross in Calvary. Unless all Christian preaching has been utterly mistaken, the God who becomes incarnate and crucified is the one who has taken the side of the oppressed and the suffering of the world--however the churches may actually behave."

Last time I checked, we where a free society. Jessica is entitled to her opinion,.. why should everyone else be so 'up-in-arms' about her statement?
"more people went vegetarian, we'd free up enough grain to feed every person in the world."
C'mon, isn't that a silly thing to say? If everyone went vegetarian, there won't be enough space on earth to be able to grow enough crops to support the nutrition needs.
Grow Up people!

Yes, Jessica does have the right to wear what she wants but she should have thought a little harder about the impact. Or maybe she did it for the attention, negative as it may be. Carrie hasn't done anything to her. It is pure jealousy and total disrespect to Carrie. I can't even believe Tony allowed that to happen.

Forget about the dimwit uglyhearted Jessica and lets move on to Tony. Why would Tony allow her to wear that shirt in public when he knew they would be photographed and it was offensive to some? I thought Tony was the one with the brains. He made a poor decision along with Jessica. Its all about perception!!!! Think about what you are doing and how it is percieved. Thats why Carrie is a Superstar and a role model. She uses her brain to make good choices.

Just once kill an animal before you eat it, it is a horrible experience. Most people would not want to kill an animal just for a burger or chicken nuggets. People naturally love animals and protect and care for them; we have to be taught to be cruel to them. I have friends who say they love animals but eat factory farmed animal products, they even volunteer at the local humane society, (the same humane society that serves pepperoni pizza at the shelter.) My point is this country is totally disconnected from the animal suffering and the juicy hamburger and animal agriculture does everything it can to keep it that way. If there is nothing wrong with slaughter houses and factory farms, why are they so hidden from view?
Posted by: Tom Progar | June 21, 2008 7:38 PM
I used to be one of those people who in response to a vegetarian comment would say something like, "Mmmm meat juicy, delicious.." Until I realized how dumb it sounded and stopped. Not until later when I myself became a vegetarian, did I understand how really really dumb it sounded. I choose not to eat it because I'm a hopeless animal lover and when I grew up I understood that I couldn't keep on eating meat for this reason (also, environmental reasons, etc.) When I said, "Mmmm meat, yum!" I never really thought about it. In fact, I never connected with what I was eating too well. Guess I grew up.

I want to replay to dan thanh, who seems to me sincere enough.
The stats about the links between cancer and meat is not just one, but hundreds (both direct and indirect links).
Just search in Google Scholar for cancer and meat, and you will found them all.
About the question of cows contaminating more than cars... the comparison is not between one car / one cow, but a car and several cows. Nowadays there are a lot more cows than cars and planes in the entire world. The sum of their methane are what counts.
The compassion issue: there is a great gap between a human being who is able to kill an animal and other than can't. One more time, go to stats, make your research, and you will find a direct link between countries with the highest % of crimes and meat consumption.
Last but not least, make your own experience: just try don't eating animal products for some time, say 7-10 days, and then observe how you feel physically, emotionally and mentally. THIS is the main reason (not compassion unfortunately) why vegetarianism and its multiple flavours is spreading at increasing pace.
This and the diseases-meat consuming stats.

i always thought jessica simpson was entertainingly-stupid... i've been a vegetarian for 10 years. i dont think that shirt is the least bit funny.
people who have to brag about meat know that what they are doing is wrong. dont care that millions of animals are abused and slaughtered? then you should at least care about your health. they dont even test for mad cow in this country anymore because its so common. why do you think there are riots in japan about the importing of american beef.
people are morons, is it that hard to stop stuffing your fat face with chopped up animals?
and yeah peta is extreme. but they have good intentions. the only way to get through to thick minded people is to be extreme. its wrong, its sick. there are alternatives to meat.
but go ahead and continue bashing the animal lovers. make yourself feel like a better person.
