Baltimore families go green, save $$
Two Mt. Washington couples who participated in a "home energy challenge" aired on NBC's Today Show are on course to save $500 to $1,000 in energy costs in the coming year, the network reports.
Betsy Ringel and Kirk Kolodner and Joan and John Goldman did some fairly simple, relatively inexpensive things, such as installing compact fluorescent lightbulbs, adjusting their thermostats and caulking and weather-stripping leaky doors, windows and crawlspaces.
In the video below, both couples say feel more environmentally conscious as a result of their conservation steps and are ready to do more.

I believe Baltimore is trying as Cash did not become flowing into Maryland until some recent Stimulus dollars tricked in .I see the Port of Baltimore is doing A clean Diesel Program with Tug Boats, Trains & Trucks. The Bay clean Up has been ongoing and some progress can be seen. This did not happen overnight where Big Giants Like GM whom produced for Years and left behind it's mess to the City & State clean up. Beth Steel another so lets give emphasis to the fact that Baltimore & Maryland are trying to go Green it will take many years to yield higher scores like forbes.
