Doing anything green?

If you are, may you feel like showing off?

We'd like to share your pictures of your green projects -- no matter how big or small. You can go to our Local Treehugger site and drop them in, along with something about it.

We'd like pictures of gardens, compost piles, solar panels, tankless waterheaters, bird feeders,  you name it. The picture above is of chickens that live in a backyard in Hamilton.

I do not have a picture... but on Sundays I take the compostible stuff from my freezer, that has accumulated all week, and give it to a farmer at the farmers market - he takes it to his farm and adds it to his compost pile. I live in an apartment in the city, so this is a good way for me to compost, even though I don't have a yard.
(I keep the stuff in a bag in the freezer so it doesn't create an odor...)
it would be great if others started doing this also...

We are composting our biodegradables and recycling plastic and tin.

About the bloggers
Tim WheelerTim Wheeler reports on the environment and Chesapeake Bay. A native of West Virginia, he has focused mainly on Maryland's environment since moving here in 1983. Along the way, he's crewed aboard a skipjack in the bay, canoed under city streets up the Jones Fall from the Inner Harbor, and gone deep underground in a western Maryland coal mine. He loves seafood, rambles in the country and good stories. He hopes to share some here.

Contributor Christy Zuccarini has been blogging about the local DIY craft scene for a year for Baltimoresun.com. She brings her pespective on all things handmade to B'More Green, where she will highlight projects you can do yourself as well as crafters who are integrating sustainable methods and materials.
