Goin' to the chapel

Anybody getting married? I swear I could do the flowers for a wedding from just ONE of my hydrangeas! Why are they so profuse this season? Possibly because there was no late frost to kill off the buds. Maybe the winter snow provided the moisture they like so much. Not sure, but I'll take it!

I wish mine were near blooming but that doesnt happen until late July here. I cant plant enough hydrangeas. Love them!

Ours didn't bloom. My mother has been equally frustrated and devastated by the loss.....lol.

Is it my imagination or are plants flowering earlier than usual? Walking the dog at 6 a.m. has (at least) one benefit, in that I can study the flora for several blocks around my house. I saw hostas in bloom this morning, which seemed too early.
My colleague Jacques Kelly says his garden is two weeks ahead of schedule...and I believe him. -- Susan
