Vegetables vs. Flowers? Vote.
Fern, who writes the garden blog, Life on the Balcony, for apartment and condo-living gardeners, wants us to vote:
Are you going to plant vegetables or flowers this year, or some combination of both?
So far in the poll, vegetables appear to be winning.
Unfortunately, there was no category for me: 100 percent flowers, except for those two tomato plants.

Some of each.
Right now, I have a very long list of catalog and online perennials and bushes that I must have, but I'll trim that to almost nil.
I am a total perennial girl and I am actually afraid to look. I get soooo greedy.--Susan

This year it's flowers, succulents, herbs and plants with nice foliage. As the owner of Local Color Flowers, an event florist specializing in the use of locally grown flowers, I'm trying to fill my garden with things I dont see the flower growers growing-like succulents that are great for bouquets and boutonneires, herbs, ornamental peppers, shrubs with berries in the fall.
Where are you located Ellen?

I love companion gardening so I will have the joy of both vegetables and flowers!

Local Color Flowers is located in Baltimore City. Our little workshop is in Mount Vernon. We don't have a retail shop, but folks can always call or email for an appointment.

It's interesting that commenters here seem to plan on more flowers than edibles, because the results of that quiz were pretty overwhelmingly more veggies than flowers. I guess Baltimore loves its flowers!
LOL I guess you're right!--Susan
