No more 'Talk Sex'

According to the Associated Press, Sunday's airing of Oxygen's Talk Sex, a late-night call-in talk show about, well, sex, will be the last one.

I can't say I was a regular watcher, but it was a fun show to stumble upon around midnight. Septagenarian Sue Johanson -- I was hoping she was in her 60s, so I could say "sexagenarian," but alas, she's 77 (!) -- is a great joy to watch, and I learned a lot more about sex from her than I did my own grandmother (and thankfully so).

One of the things Johanson says she's gonna miss about the show: "I'm going to miss playing with sex toys."

I will miss her posing those bendy figures to demonstrate sex positions!

Ok, actually, I haven't seen that show in years, but it was hilarious to stumble across it late night when I was in college.

My favorite memory of her is when she was on Letterman/Leno/Conan (I don't remember which), sitting there being interviewed with a strap-on on her head. Hilarious woman.

I was so saddened to hear Sue Johanson is retiring. I have been a regular viewer and student of "Talk Sex" for years and this woman truly impacted my (sex) life for the better with the valuable information and education she delivered. I will miss her terribly--her fabulous sense of humor, her kind, compassionate heart, and her brilliance! Nowhere else would a 77 year old grandmother win the hearts of viewers of all ages and genders world wide! suppose we can still catch reruns? Will we ever see the show return with a new host? Thanks Sue! You were terrific and Sunday nights on Oxygen just won't be the same without you!
