People mag: Jon & Kate Plus 8 are divorcing

People.com reports that Jon and Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 have filed for divorce.

If so, I'm really sad for all their kids, and will post tonight on the details as they come out on the "special announcement" show. Watch our Reality Check and Z on TV blogs for more.

Will the next show be Jon & Kate on plenty of Fish? Divorced dating in the new Millennium?

What a farce.

So sorry for the children. It seems like Jon has been unhappy for a very long time. It seems to me that he just wants out - free of responsiblities - as he is only "32". It is easy to see that he isn't really "putting the children first" - that he is thinking of hisself. You don't walk out on a woman with 8 small children - my guess, another woman may have broken them up. I read that he took his girlfriend on the ski trip. He has moved on from his family. Sad, Sad!
