Octo-mom pet

Octo-momOh, great. Nadya Suleman (and Kate Gosselin) already make ordinary moms-of-two like me feel inadequate. But now the octuplet mom wants a pet, too?

Our Unleashed blog has the details.

What I want to know is, how can I now keep telling my (yes, only two of them) children that we just can't handle a pet in our lives right now? (Our sweet dog Rex died several years ago, a traumatic event for all of us.)

If they hear about octo-mom and her possible pig, I'll be in the doghouse.

I think your kids are old enough to understand the concept of "good sense."

Tell them that when Mommy has eight more babies they can have a giraffe.

omg... this is hilarious. My daughter wants a puppy so bad and this crazy mama drama is insane.

With her 14 and Jon and Kate's 8, I don't know what to tell my 3 year old either.

Her 3 year old autistic child has bite marks on him, and a recent black eye.. can you imagine the torture that will be inflicted on a new small animal in this family? Of the many very disturbing things about octocon we have learned about her, I thought it particularly telling that she recently told how she was an aggressive biter of babies when she was young. She said other mothers told her mother she was a 'monster' as she lunged on top of them and then bit babies faces. She said she could even remember their squishy cheeks and wanting to bite them... so she was an older child. She said about 3 years, but if she rembmers it's probably even older than that. Huge red flag behavior. Also I find it disturbing her older children have no structure or bedtimes, and stay up all night. This is such a trainwreck just waiting to happen and I really hope CPS gets more involved than they have been before something truly awful happens in that home.

My daughter (almost 5) just asked for a nose pierce, a giraffe and a baby brother all on the same day. Hmmm...choices, choices, choices.

Edamommy, was she reading the Sun's blogs? Or Owl Meat Gravy's?!
