Report: Octuplet mom fires free nanny service

Octuplet mom Nadya Suleman has fired the free nanny service Angels in Waiting, according to a report on Modern Mom, which quotes her lawyer as saying Suleman felt she "didn't need" the service. The site says Angels in Waiting had filed a complaint with child welfare officials about the appropriateness of Suleman's environment for her 14 children.

Um...I don't suppose the free nurses would help take care of my kids? They're more than welcome...

Although I have been announcing to anyone who would listen that I am sick-to-death of this woman and the details of her life, the report that I heard last night - I was letting the dog out & back in and locking up for the night, so I'm unclear on the source - was that she believes that these volunteer nannies have been reporting the details of her household to more than just their agency. It sounded as though they've been talking, talking, talking. Also, the agency had a lawyer who entered her home and refused to leave.

There seems to have been something very wrong with that setup and for once, I'm not blaming Octo-Mom.

Ms. Suleman has made a lot of mistakes, but for the first time she did something right when she fired the nannies and turfed the lawyer. She doesn't need nurses, armed guards, masks or the paparazzi. I'm changing my vote to giving her a break, and see how she does.

Eve, Marlene, she spends all her time shopping rather than caring for the ten children or visiting the four in the hospital.

You really think she's going to suddenly be a good mom now? When installing a jacuzzi tub is a bigger concern for her than their security??

I find it hard to believe that this nanny deserved to be fired. I know we don't have all the facts, but this sounds more suspect the more I think about it. It will be interesting to hear the final word on this.
