Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar turns 40

The Hungry Caterpillar

Our Read Street blog has a post on the classic "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," which my children have had several copies of over the years, turning 40 today. The Google logo is a Carle design today.

Did your kids love this book as much as mine?

My kids' favorite was Carle's "The Very Quiet Cricket." We had a board book and at the end, the cricket chirps. They loved it.
