Tips for Thursday, questions for Monday

I'm looking for subjects (and related tips) for this week's Tip Sheet Thursday and, while we're at it, questions I can ask experts for the next few Monday Consults. What's on your mind?

With a birthday coming up, how to keep grandparents from going completely overboard with expensive, elaborate, space-consuming gifts that don't relfect our parenting values. Example: I suggest that picture books of animals or a couple of those nice German plastic animals would be a big hit, adn get a $300 enormous "Rokenbok" motorized playset that will consume half of the space in our small living room. I can set limits with my kids, but could sure use help setting limits with my parents!
