Deals on school supplies this Thursday?

I'm hereby floating the idea of a tip sheet this week about where you're finding the best deals (locally and online) on school supplies -- everything from school clothes and uniforms to pencils and composition books.

This would be a really useful tip sheet if a) we all pitch in with tips, and b) we get specific as we can about prices and whereabouts. If you're talking about a web site, please provide a link to the item.

So let's start submitting tips now. That way I'll be able to tell whether we'll have enough for Thursday.

My tips for school supplies....I have been watching the Staples ads for the deals of the week. This week, you can buy a 2 pack of composition pads for $1.00 for the first 3 packs.

Otherwise, I think the best bet is Target.

I buy extras since I always know that the kids will either lose their supplies or the teacher will need additional supplies for the year.

KQ Mom, I agree about buying a second set to donate to the teacher! In public schools, there are familiaes that have a hard time affording school supplies, and many teachers pay out of their own pockets for children who need supplies. Donating a full set of supplies (for those who can afford to do so) is a courtesy that teachers really seem to appreciate!
