Chocolate Festival: Sample chocolate treats and desserts at the Bel Air Chocolate Festival. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Bel Air Armory, 37 N. Main St., Bel Air. $5. Children younger than 8 free. “Leap Day Weekend”: The event, held at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, 501 E. Pratt St., includes amphibian presentations, contests, face-painting and more and takes place 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Call 410-576-3800 or visit aqua.org.

Opening Weekend: The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore celebrates its reopening weekend 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with a reduced admission fee of $5 and special activities for the animals. Call 410-366-5466 or go to marylandzoo.org.

“Peter Pan”: Children’s Playhouse of Maryland Inc. presents this classic at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd., Rosedale. $10. Call 410-780-6369 or go to ccbcmd.edu.

Maple Sugarin’ Festival: The Hashawa Environmental Center, 300 John Owings Road, Westminster, hosts the event, which includes a maple syrup pancake brunch, demonstrations, and items for sale Sunday.
