See NBC News shill for Kate Gosselin special

I wasn't going to post this, because I did not want to help NBC News with its shameless shilling for the special it produced for TLC tonight. But almost everyone who visits this blog and comments about "Jon & Kate" saw this already, and I do want to put tonight's interview in some context. So, did you hear Natalie Morales say Kate Gosselin was being "brutally honest"? How about her saying of the interview that "no topic was off limits"? The fact that she can say such things with a sincere look on her face and that phony note of concern in her voice makes her just the perfect interviewer for this latest spin-o-rama. And, oh, the tears again. Boo-hoo, Kate.
This is shameless, and to think I defended Meredith Vieira's interview with Kate. I will be back later Monday night with a review of the interview. Please stop back.

You are one of the few people in journalism who is willing to tell the truth about this woman, and I salute you.

Z, we are all very concerned for your welfare this evening so, as Chrysee and Sherry T have already suggested, please have the following items on hand or take the following precautions to ensure your safety:

1. Anti-nausea medication within reach (whiskey is acceptable here).

2. Plenty of antacid.

3. Vomit bucket placed strategically near you.

4. Football helmet on in case you have an overwhelming urge to smash your head against a hard surface.

5. Clear the room of all hard objects that could cause damage if hurled at the TV.

6. Ask all loved ones to leave the room so they do not have to bear witness to you enduring the abuse (just make sure someone is readily available in case of emergency – see #9, below).

7. Wear some padded clothing to cushion the fall when the lies you hear make you want to fling yourself to the floor and roll around having a tantrum.

8. Box of tissue to dry your tears because you are so upset that Kate hasn’t gotten her new ring yet.

9. Smelling salts for a family member to use to revive you in case your blood pressure gets so high that you pass out.

10. A paper bag to blow into to prevent hyperventilation.

Much luck to you, oh warrior man. May you return to us from this battle without feeling like you have suffered through a lobotomy.

I didn't think of the padded clothing for when I throw myself to the floor and thrash arounds in a craazed state. Thanks. Z

How does "brutally honest" and "no topic was off limits" reconcile with "there are some things I'd like to keep private", "we're going to keep this out of the public eye", "I don't want to say anything my kids can later hear/read", and (my personal favorite for balls!) "I'm taking the high road"? And of course, if J&K really IS the "realest of reality shows" why would one even have to state that Kate is going to be honest and nothing is going to be off limits?

Still scratching my head.

Mine, too. But that's Kate talk, isn't it. Contradicting herself from sentence to sentence. Thanks. Z

AnnC great post! We have some real talent on this blog. Hilarious luv it!!!!!!

They have once again taken the High Road on a detour to nowhere. She really does play that victim role to a hilt.

Did we ever find out if she was too famous or not to attend Nana Janet's funeral? Here's a eulogy for you Kate:
"It is better to give than receive" Try it out sometime.

I am over it...over it...over it...I am very grateful the Kate Koolaid drinkers have been few and far between. There is no telling what I would say.

Let's try this out for next weeks show...11/09 is supposed to be Top moments. Let us all come up with a worst moment of the show and blog about it. This is a great group we need to be able to get through this together. I am only suggesting this because we can only look forward not backwords.

AnnC:

Great list, you thought of things that we missed. Padded clothing great idea.

I liked Rabbi Shmuley (sp) when he had the show counseling families. Not sure why he would take on Jon Gosselin though?

Missed this interview had to leave early this morning. Kate said people cashed her in?? I think it was the other way around, she cashed people in. She is delusional and I am sure the interview in full will be very slanted. Natalie Morales looks good, maybe she will hold her own in the interview, but the Kate tears have started already.

Are they going to show K8 laughing and smiling with Morales? I don't think so. Are the going to show her laughing it up at The Grove after/during the interview? I don't think so. Check out the photos on RO. Just more poor K8 spin! Hopefully, this will the be the LAST we see of her!
I for one, will not be watching tonight. Don't want to hear, "I'm doing it for my kids", "I am taking the high road", yadda, yadda, yadda! I'm home cooking dinner. No, you're not. You're in LA with Ellen while your housekeeper, babysitter, nanny, cook and yard man are cooking dinner! Betcha we can answer every question, word for word, as she is answering them. Why does Today love her so? Can't wait to see her doing "bits" for the Today show.
When are we going to see Morales doing a one hour special called "Jon's Side"!
She is an actress. Bring on the tears on cue! I for one, don't believe her! or Morales. or Viera.
Just plain tired of the Gosselins.

You Da Man Z.
I'll be watching the World Series so take one for the team and give us the word after suffering through an hour of more grifting by Kate.

Oh, and Ms Morales---ironic her last name minus the -es spells Moral~~~~quite befitting the whole Kate Kate Kate

I did not know you before this playdate with Kate. I am glad I know I was not missing anything. OUCH!!!!

Oh brother, look at those tears!! She's working it!!

Hey Kate? How can you say you are the one who takes the high road & doesn't throw venom towards Jon when right in this clip, Natalie M. says Jon started the affair rumors (which Kate has also said)?

A WORTHY journalist (like Z!!) would call her on that & say "Kate; In the past you've said you take the high road and don't participate in spewing nasty accusations toward Jon. If that's the case, why are you saying he started the Steve/Kate affair rumor or do you have any concrete proof of Jon starting that rumor?" Nope, not these fluffy "journalists", they keep tossing softballs and handling Kate with kid gloves. *PUKE*

That's the term. Holly, you got it: She's "working it." You absolutely nail what she is up to. This interview is like a couple of carnival grifters from Depression era America running their con game. I bet they didn't teach Natalie Morales that in journalism school. Thanks. Z

Thanks for watching for us tonight Z--your "tour of duty" should end soon and you can go back to quality tv. Maybe you can make it fun--have someone count the "umms" and how many times she contradicts herself tonight! Put some wine in a Starbucks cup and take a drink everytime she cries! You'll be drunk before the first half hour is up!

I wish. I have to stop and buy another bag of Starbucks on the way home to keep the caffeine level up tonight. Z

They actually did admit the kids are showing signs of emotional distress. This is time to end the show or damage these kids permanently. I can't imagine continuing. If you can't sleep at night Kate there are eight good reasons why. Please put them first. Yikes this is sad. And, did I hear the show is on hiatus. The fact that there could be more episodes is scary.

Have to go feed my family. See you all after the interview.

Good luck - Z, will say a little prayer you get through it. I mean that.

Z,

Watching the clip of the interview between Meredith Vieira and Natalie Morales and I'm struck by the fact that Natalie sounds more like Kate's publicist than an "investigative reporter". She sounded as unbiased as the Chinese judge scoring the female gymnasts in Beijing.

I know, I tried to be nice to NBC News all last week -- waiting three or four days for a comment and then saying let's not pre-judge. But this is just abolutely shameless -- by Morales, Vieira and their bosses at NBC News. Z

She had me at "exclusive". LMAO. Yeah, right. This chicks been interviewed by everybody.

Next week, she interviews herself. Z

Z, Do you know how ratings work? If you are not a 'Neilsen' family, do your viewing habits impact ratings. Do not want to cast a vote for anything Gosselin but must admit the car crash cringe keeps me curious.

Hi Bacon, It is OK to watch. I am just trying to spare folks getting upset with Kate's predictable lying -- and spending time with TLC rather than with family or a show they really like. But I totally understand car-crash factor. Just come back to the blog afterward and share any comments you have. I'll post as soon as I can. Thanks. Z

I cannot stand it any longer.

Since, I can trust all my blogger friends. I want to take a moment and share with ya'll.

Moments When I knew I was a Gosselin Addict.

1. When I watched Kate yell HELLLOOOO on a TV camera at her wimpy husband and decided I would do that too.

2. Whe I would miss work so that I could watch a Jon & Kate Plus 8 marathon.

3. When I bought subscriptions this year to People, Us Magazine & The National Enquirer and wall paper my bedroom with all the Kate articles.

4. When I stayed up to watch the Insider at Midnight & I had to be to work the next day at 6am.

5. When I woke up and put high heels and a mini skirt on to go to the laundromat at my apt complex & I thought I saw people taking my picture.

6. When I took my last 1,000 to the shopping mall instead of paying my bills

7. When A resident at my job came to pay the rent and I told her to come back after 'The View'

8. When I bought a ring with a mother of pearl and 8 diamonds.

9. When I made my 2 year old Trent get lost in a corn maze.

10. When I went to Sunday Church Service and got up in front of the congregation to ask for $20 to buy a picture of the Gosselin children.

11. When I called my husband Jon instead of Donnnie.

12. When I made my eight kids ages 2-25 years old paint their bodies with pudding paint.

13. When I made my husband eat a banquet microwave supper while I made organic meatloaf for supper for myself. MINE ALL MINE.

14. When I drove to Reading Pennsylvania from Gulfport, MS to stand at the fence of the 1.3 million dollar sprawling estate just so Radaronline would film me.

15. When I had a tantrum cuz I saw my husband would not let me on the computer to get all my Kate google alerts.

This is hilarious. I know it is far better than anything I will see on TV tonight. Thanks, Irene. Z

On Dr. Lillian Glass' site she says that even though she has tears in her eyes, when she wipes her mid cheeck with her finger, where are no tears there. She also says that they need to stop using the media as a therapists office and go into one together.

I need to visit the Glass site. Thanks. Z

Here Z!!
BINGO!!!
http://popwatch.ew.com/2009/11/02/kate-gosselin-interview-bingo-get-ready-for-another-cliche-fest/

Yes, I saw it and had to laugh. Very clever concept. I wish I could take notes and play at same time. Seriously, though, I am happy to see another journalistic enterpise, EW, mocking this farce. Z

Irene,

I will be laughing until Z posts his article! :) Then we will probably all will be crying because Kate will have gotten by with a softball interview. That was extremely funny!! Way to go! Told you, you should be writing comedy.

Don't worry Z, we'll be back. Go get em'

And now, bloggers, the hour is approaching...

Let's raise a cup to our beloved champ (cue 'hail to the chief' march) a man who in a short time will selflessly march in front of his television set to brave the onslaught of a thousand untruths, refusing to place his lips on the poisoned kool-aid cup, his noble spirit spurred on by his journalistic integrity, compelling him to defend the moral values the rest of us have cultivated in the sweat and labor of child rearing, willing to expose the intolerable contradictions of this insufferable interview, this august scribe, in the spirit of self-sacrific, goes forth to perform this heroic deed.

To Z!!!!

And Ann I loved your list. It was hilarious. lol.

Sure, to the late Z. His head exploded before the first commercial break. But he died with at the computer keyboard. Oh lookk, he typed out a last message to all his blog colleagues. It says: "Kate lies." Z

Once again, all I can say is a big THANK YOU for being one of the few (if not only) honest journalists out there. I sincerely hope that TLC and Kate's people ARE reading this blog. IMO, this interview is nothing but a test to see what kind of reaction viewers have to yet another of Kate's boo-hoo fests to see if she is still marketable. Julie Carson May (Kate's PR rep) was at the Women's Conference in Long Beach, CA last week - I'm sure she was measuring reaction to Kate's latest appearance. From all accounts, it didn't go too well. I think people are just sick to death of seeing these two nobodies on every channel and tabloid cover.

Thanks Z, you ROCK!

Z:

Have you seen the Popwatch (EW) Kate Bingo? It's a must have for tonight's "interview." LOL

http://popwatch.ew.com/2009/11/02/kate-gosselin-interview-bingo-get-ready-for-another-cliche-fest/

NBC is stooping to the level of tabloid journalism with the Kate interview. And some people wonder why they are losing revenue and credibility.

Unbelievable! TLC is already posting "deleted" scenes from the interview, including yet another session about "the ring". Ellen's interview was far superior to Natalie Morales'. Ellen understood and didn't play into Kate's spiel. Natalie, unfortunately, does. This is a complete farce.

As other posters have said, thanks for being the lone voice of reason among this madness.

What is frightening to me at this point, is that if news networks are going so far to kow-tow to non-celebs fluff/pr crap interviews and accepting the lies at face value with NO research/investigation/followup questions, how often does this occur?

Does NBC accept lies from all its interviewees, from politicians to sports figures to detectives, and have no qualms to present them as facts? Where can we go to get honest news and honest reporting?

This has absolutely 100% undermined my faith that NBC can present news in an honest fashion. I will never look at any interview or investigative piece that the network produces as anything more than dollar-store PR. And it actually upsets me that I can no longer trust network news. I thought smear/PR was only for cable news networks.

Congrats, NBC. Well done.

You know what I thought was interesting? Last week, the paparazzi snapped pictures of Kate (while she was in LA for the taping) going to The Grove (I guess that's an upscale mall in LA?). The next day, when she was back in PA, the paparazzi snapped pictures of her going to the UPS store to pick up packages. The story noted that she had so many packages that two store employees had to help carry packages out to her car and still they had to make more than one trip. I guess now that Jon has returned the money to the bank account, she can shop for more short skirts and stilettos.

I recently found this site and have to say I'm every bit as grateful as your long time readers for your willingness to post honestly about this travesty we call 'Kate'! I know we've all been waiting a long time for this 'brutally honest', 'no limits' interview, but even if all of the questions are hard hitting and direct, I think we've forgotten one very important little detail. The individual who will be answering these questions is Kate Gosselin! And as we all know, Kate wouldn't know the truth if it bit her in the ass! So much for hard hitting and direct!
Thanks Z. I'm here for the duration.

I think what Kate fails to understand is that she is a national joke!! People are laughing AT her, certainly not WITH her in any sense of the term, and yet she continues to take herself so SERIOUSLY! She simply doesn't get it...Kate...you're a joke darling. The lightbulb is finally turning on for almost everyone. (And as an aside, in my opinion, any so-called journalist who gets on the Kate bandwagon is as much a joke as Kate herself).

"....the forgotten middle child"......Oh *SNIFF* I think I have a little trickle-tear.......

Hey bloggers.

My yahoo screen pulled up and low and behold it was a picture of Jon Gosselin sitting on his $20 a head christian throne with sideburns on his face. I guess his next attempt at stardom is Elvis Presley look alike....Oh Lordie Bee!!!

"....the forgotten middle child"......Oh *SNIFF* I think I have a little trickle-tear.......

Z,
Philly is winning 5 - 1. You do what you have to do. Philly is bringing it back and the series is pretty exciting, considering that NY's pitcher lives in Monkton Maryland, our hometown. You take care of the Gosselin fiasco, I'll keep you posted on the Philly win.

This is a trip! What a joke NBC has become.

When we have watched previous episodes my 2 year old Trent has said, "Mommy, her mean!" concerning Kate.

"I feel like i'm there the majority of the time."

HAHAHAHAHAHA. That's a good one Kate!

I would like to interview Morales, et al and ask them why they think Kate's being brutally honest is important. Who cares about her and her life when there are so many interesting stories in the world yet to be told? What makes her so important to Morales that she cares?

Why is it that Kate keeps saying, "If you sign a contract, you must abide by it"? More than once during the 'seasons' of the filming she maintained that if ANY ONE of them wanted to stop, they would stop.

It seems she will honor any contract but her marriage contract.

Horrible, Horrible interview tonight. I checked back on my Tivo and between the world series and Kates melodramatic lies, I should have never deviated from the world series. The media is for some reason, trying to create the next sensation with Kate. She has no presence, no skills, she isn't believeable....WHY?????

"Kate lies" instead of "Rosebud"? Z, you rock!

I came home from my son's baseball practice and turned it on in time to hear her refer to herself as "selfless". I was hoping the interviewer would correct her with the more appropriate "soulless", but it is what it is.

Another brick in the High Road to Hell.

(BTW, the comment from my 11-year old was "Is she STILL talking?")

So...her children deserve their lives served "on a golden platter". Isn't that every mother's wish? That's not reality however.Unfortunately it's Kate's "reality" and she's determined to put her children back to work to ensure that they continue to have the life to which they (and she) have grown accustomed to. So sad. So amoral on Kate's and TLC/NBC's part.

Mark my words, there will be a Kate Gosselin ring available at QVC or HSN shortly. There has to be a reason everyone keeps mentioning it. It must be the Holy Grail of rings or something. Doesn't her sister design rings?

The Kate love fest, Kate's story, blame Jon, blame the paps, blame her parents for her being the middle child and being ignored, blame her brother for hurting her so badly, blah, blah, blah. She looked like a tank sitting there next to Natalie. She cried a lot and my opinion is that they are real tears. Tears of fear that she is about to lose all the perks, the fame, the money that she worked so hard to have. Angry at Jon for taking it away from her. Shes a rule follower, Jon is not, that's why he is being sued. I think that in her soul she knows its all about to end and she is scared to death of how she can keep it going. She can't even imagine having to be a 'regular' person again after all the star treatment, the million dollar house, the cars, and even though she says she hates the pap and the kids shouldn't even know what that word means, she still exposes them to it daily by her hard headed refusal to admit she is hurting them by continuing. I give Natalie credit, she did keep on asking and trying to force Kate to address that issue, but Kate could say nothing but 'I have to continue, I can't go back to nursing'.

Sympathy for Kate? Never. She is where she is right now because of HER behavior, not Jon's, not the pap's, no anyone but herself. Better get ready for a huge fall Kate. Its a comin'!

Re: Kate lies

The first thing I thought of ( and I'm now dating myself here) is that scene in one of my fave films " Say Anything" when Corey (played by the adorable Lily Taylor) is singing at the graduation party :

Kate lies............
Kate lies............
Kate lies....when she cries....
When she cries......

Here's a thought for you conspiracy theorists. Yesterday, Jon Gosselin did a "confessional" at a synagogue in NYC with his new spiritual advisor, a rabbi who at one time was a spiritual advisor for Michael Jackson. What the news didn't reveal though was that that rabbi also at one time (a couple of years ago) had his own show on TLC called "Shalom in the Home".

I didn't know about the old show. Now my head really is spinning. Z

The World Series is so exciting this year; now that's reality!!
Used to love Jon & Kate. Haven't watched it in weeks, but follow this kind of gossip.
Haven't missed anything I guess. Kate is still a phony shrew & Jon is just a phony.

HATEKATE:

I just laughed SO hard at your version of the "Say Anything" (my FAVE movie EVAH!) Corey song. I can hear it so clearly in my head and I am guffawing in an insane manner right now.

CLASSIC!!!

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves, first of all, why did you have kids like puppies and second what the heck, I don't feel sorry for you, I feel sorry for your kids, shame on you Kate and Jon, SHAME ON YOU, you let tv go to your heads, so suffer like the rest of us.

All I can be is disgusted. That anyone would go on national television and whine about their bank account, can't pay their bills and yet she lives in a million dollar home with all the ammendities. Kate whines and insinuates that the trips and what their kids are used to and now missing out of will somehow damage them.
Who does this? Can we all be offered the same priviledge to reveal our income or lack thereof, in hopes of someone coming to our rescue? The thing about the show that really pi88ed me off was everytime Kate hinted she "wanted" or "needed" something, it was handed to her. The strollers, plastic surgery for both, the endless trips to Colorado and Florida.
She had all this planned out before invitro. That woman has no shame.

Lets face it. John messed up and now he wants to make up. The money and free stuff has quit flowing in to their house. They have eight children to support. It was a great ride for them until John got jealous because the viewers saw that his wife could out work him. He needs to zip up his pants, stop smoking, start hanging out with people his own age and change the people around him that have told him he is a celeb. If he had taken on his share of the responsiblity of his kids early on then maybe Kate would not have considered him one of the children.

Sick of Kate , Her show. I hope she has to go work a real job like the rest of us TLC needs to wake up I am sick of her.If she gets her own show I will not watch . Go work as a nurse But she said ,she cant make it on that. They made money. Did they think this show would last forever? She is selfish she wants, wants wants .

Someone here posted to the fact that Kate says she and the kids miss the trips for the show and the blogger pointed out why can't they still do that without the show. Great point, the rest of america does that with thier families without getting paid, doing it for real family bonding. This is just sickening to me, get those people off TV and to the networks who keep talking about it, stop already. Your making an embarrassment of yourself

this interview was SICKENING....

for her to say her marriage probably would not have survived even if they had not done the show because she was a nurse and jon and IT tech just shows that she's all about the money..... her marriage should survive on love no matter how little money they made, they have 8 beautiful healthy children, isn't that enough to make you happy.

then for her to say the children said they want to be happy again doing all the things TLC gave them, that too is sickening that they need material things just to be happy. Kate you really showed your true colors. You are a disgrace.

kadk,

I did'nt post about the vacations originally, but I totally agree. We have a family of four and we have managed to take our girls on quite a few trips without having to spend a lot. If money is tight there are lots of national parks and state parks. As a matter of fact we have spent a lot ot time at Old Man's Cave with our children. It is about two hours from where we live in the beautiful Hocking Hills an easy days drive and back and everytime we visit we see something new. The caves are amazing. Also, this summer money was tighter and we managed to take a trip to Maumee State Park, which ended up being very nice and educational. We learned a lot about conservation and bike trails etc. were all free. Your right spending family time together is the key and you don't need money to do it. Kate makes us all mad. If she could show some appreciation for for the small things in life it would be nice.

Shady Katie needs to STOP her pity party campaign!! Everytime she crys on camera she exposes MORE lies!

She says their marriage would NOT have worked, would have eventually failed? Shady Katie, what planet are you on? So she's basically saying the marriage was a FAILURE at the get go? AND is she saying the contract between her, Jon & her God was ALSO a FAILURE? LIE.

Shady Katie says she doesn't recall WHEN she knew the marriage was over? Then she contradicts herself by saying, "...about a year ago, while I was flying home from a trip..." Really? That sounds like a timeline that fits Jon's statement that she came home "last October...said the marriage was over..." Another LIE.

Shady Katie says the kids miss the trips...TLC provided!? Wait I'm confused. MOST parents save their money, plan their trips & GO ON THEIR TRIPS without the camera crew, body guard & entourage of support staff. She needs to plant her feet on Planet Earth! BE A REAL PARENT to the kids!

Shady Katie says she's with the kids MOST OF TIME. Really? Maybe someone has to put a timeline of her trips AWAY from home. Oh, Jon did say before the breakup she was gone most of the time. He was the stay at home parent. SOOOO, if she's not home & Jon's not home, HEY Shady Katie, guess the Nannys' are at home to take care of the kids, NOT you. Another LIE.

Shady Katie admits she was HARD on Jon. REALLY! Humm, from the other side of the camera it sure looked like she was abusive, controlling, obsessive...can I say more. AND interesting, she NEVER apologizes for her atrocious behaviors.

Z, I see some sheeple have infiltrated to support Shady Katie's pity party. Lucky sheeple, you allow them to voice their opinions.

gotta run, the real world is calling me! Peace out fellow bloggers!! Keep exposing the truth for what it is!

Maybe this is being petty but whenever I read comments about Jon smoking I remember reading somewhere that Kate also smokes which is probably why she is usually chewing gum, either to cover up the smell or to break her habit. However the real purpose of my posting is to thank you David for trying to expose these two immature frauds who have already damaged the childhood of their children and who continue to put themselves before the needs of the children. The needs are just common ones like giving them a simple, safe and loving childhood not a circus or the world on a golden platter!

She is so stupid; why does she think TLC has to pay for her kid's trips? I think Kate should have enough $$ hocked away to take the kids on a trip. Kate's sense of entitlement is mind boggling.
And for those that said she 'cried'? Kate doesn't cry like peasants(like we mortals), she 'sobs' (that is her word)
:p

Speaking of peasants and royalty, at least she did not compare herself to Princess Diana Monday night. Z

Holly, glad you had a nice chuckle =)

I was hoping ONE person would "get it" and not think I was totally insane !

Hey HateKate, I am sure lots of folks here "got it." Thanks. Z

to: Posted by: Bacon | November 2, 2009 6:17 PM

that is some funny stuff
there Bacon LOL

Hi Z-

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend ?

My "get it" comment was a jab at myself for using such a corny , albeit classic, movie from which to quote.

I think this blog is awesomely awesome.

Hi HateKate, No, that is not what I meant at all. I didn't think there was any possible offsense in there at all. I was just praising the cleverness of your comment by trying to suggest that I enjoyed it and thought lots of others did, too. It was awesomely awesome for such a classic movie watcher and contract honorer. Ha. Z

"KATE GOSSELIN, GET OFF MY TV SCREEN!!!!"....My God, everytime I flip the channels, there she is, in bogus TEARS & SOBS. I just wonder WHO the TLC Exec is she's sleeping with, in order to "deserve??!!" SO much TV time donated to her (selfish) cause. RICH & PAMPERED KATE should accept the consequences of her bad behavior and slip away quietly into oblivion....PLEEEEEZE!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the clarification.

Your commentary (as well as everyone else's) is so fine tuned, sometimes (as in this case) I can't tell if you are being serious or facetious. Either way, sometimes I feel clueless-ish. Get some sleep will ya !

Bad enough that N. Morales participated in this whole ongoing Kate The Victim charade.

But the follow up between Meredith Vieira and Ms. Morales was the final insult to viewers.

When exactly was it that news programs became infotainment?

What demographic are networks hoping to please these days? The crayon and coloring book set?

And how and when did being an ignorant, vapid diva who dresses and acts like a hooker become the American feminine role model? "Dallas Divas & Daughters," "The Girls Next Door," "Kardashians, "Real Housewives of....", "Rock of Love," "Bad Girls," "Bridezillas"....

HOW did TV run SO FAR OFF THE TRACKS?

And, more importantly, what's it going to take to bring back creativity, depth, and integrity to tv ?

OR are those qualities dead & buried now in the media?
