Z outstanding article as always. It is so refreshing to read your articles as you truly see how things are in the "fantasy Gosselin world". What truly amazes me is that most other articles I read have Kate up for sainthood. Where were these folks the last 5 seasons of this show? The woman is a complete "nutcase". She exploits her own babies to pay her bills.

It does not take a rocket scientist to know that neither Jon nor Kate would win parent of the year, but I don't believe I've ever seen a more self-absorbed personality than I have in Khate. I am very curious to see what TLC decides to do with Kate & Kate Plus Kate!!!

I think NBC is taking a pretty big chance. They already tried this with Meredith Vieira and she really did not get anything out of Kate. I don't see Natale Morales as a very forceful interviwer. If Kate spins out of control on this one I think it will make NBC look bad. In the first place a news show taking her on seems somehow wrong to me. I didn't gain a whole lot of respect for Meredith Vieira from the Kate interview, although she was polite. Maybe Matt Lauer could interview her. He probably wouldn't touch it. It's a ratings advertising ploy I think.

Hi Irene, Just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I am not sure if that picture on Radar is really a shot of them shopping -- or a shot of them filming a segment for Monday's show. Because I respect the commenters here so much, I will tell you that I have very low expectations for this Monday mishmash of a show -- and I think NBC News is crazy for risking its credibility with such shady character as Kate. and desperate channel as TLC these days. But let's see how it plays. And you don't have to watch. I will watch, so that you all can have a life -- and then you can comment and watch bits on YouTube so that your heads don't explode like mine. Ha. Z

That is what made me think they were filming: the makeup touch-up. I think it looks very bad for NBC News to be in such a relationship. But professionally, I have to withhold judgment until I see the product. But if I were head of NBC News, I wouldn't touch that deal in a million years. Thanks. Z

Z: I hope it's OK, but I am copying a portion of my post from the Ellen thread because it seems more relevant here & I'm interested in seeing the responses of the wonderful bloggers here.

Here it is:
I often wonder if the media doesn't hold Kates feet to the fire because they are afraid of being painted as hateful or mean to a "supermom of 8 just doin' the best she can". If that's the case, why did nearly every media outlet put the screws to Octomom? Did Nadya Suleman & Kate Gosselin essentially not do the same thing, with Kate doing it first? They both had fertility treatments knowing the outcome of high multiples, they both did the previous knowing they didn't have the income to support those children, they both shopped reality shows starring their children to be the source of their income, they are both media ho's whose names are only "famous" because they had litters of children...yet Nadya has taken more heat than someone trying to hit a pitch thrown from Pedro Martinez and Kate is a saint. Even staunch Kate supporters are nasty towards Octomom, when in my eyes, Kate was the original Octomom.

Although I am sure we all know the answer to this one, I'm curious to find out if TLC/Kate/Kates PR people give NBC/interviewers talking points (that Kate is well versed on) as well as a list of things that are off limits. They are touting this interview as "Kate as you've never seen her", so I think it will be pretty clear who is towing a company line quickly in this interview.

I'm sure for TLC/Kate this seems win-win as NBC is considered far more reputable than talk shows like The View, Ellen and obviously gossip sites online like TMZ & Radar. TLC/Kate will be able to say (even if never verbally) "Jon talks to The Insider, Radar Online and other gossip rags; where Kate chooses to take the high road and speak with reputable media sources"; especially if TLC hands Natalie Morales a list of taboo subjects.

Are you braindead? The judge did order Jon to return the money, she was IN FACT left without only $1,000 on that join account.

No, actually I am not. I'll tell you why: She was not left with $1,000, nor was that her only account. When I talked to her lawyer, in fact, he declined to answer both of those questions: Was that her last $1,000? Did she have other accounts? If you believe that she had only $1,000 and no other accounts, well, let's just leave it at that. I mean you can put the words "IN FACT" in caps, but that doesn't make it a fact. Really. Z

I really want Natalie to ask why Kate didn't want to got to therapy. Kate says she would do anything for her kids, but she wouldn't even try to work on her marriage. Once she got the house and the fame and the extra "help," she threw Jon away like a piece of trash. I can't get over that. Jon may have some character flaws (don't we all?), but he did try. He lovingly delt with Kate for soo many years and took her abuse. I really feel for Jon. I don't think he ever wanted to lose his wife and family. I think Kate is very very clever and and has managed to fool a great deal of people into feeling sorry for her. Let's face it Kate is brilliant!!

Thank you, Z, for following up on this story for us. I find the media aspect of this whole J/K debacle most fascinating. I hope and pray that you are right - that the END is near. On another note, I think the shopping trip to The Grove may have had some ulterior motives. IIRC, I think I read or saw a clip where Julie May was there as well. Being Kate's publicist, the outing may have been arranged as a means of measuring public perception of Kate. Julie May clearly visible at the Long Beach speech/book signing where Kate received a very lukewarm reception. I'm sure she is spinning her wheels trying to figure out the next best way to market her talentless client.

Thanks for all your hard work. TLC is grasping for a ratings surge Monday night. Funny thing. If it's like all the interviews of Kate, this will be the tipping point because Kate Gosselin says the same thing over and over and over. Fans of Kate are even noticing. NBC is foolish to get involved in this type of tabloid journalism. Too bad. I will have to rethink my watching of NBC News and MSNBC.

here's my question: what's the "news"? why on Earth is Kate Gosselin (or any Gosselin) on a NEWS program?

I personally think Jon pulled the plug on the show just so Kate wouldn't get any of the money. He thought he would be a draw for other outlets. Yeah, right. He needs to go away- far away. At least Kate isn't dating the world like Jon is. He's been a loser from the start and now wants to drag Kate down with him.

What NBC needs to do is HIRE Kate. I love her. She's a great mom and a great career lady. She married a ... but he should not reflect poorly on her. She can't help it he fell off the deep end.

Here is what I don't get...if someone, anyone would do a real report on Kate and I mean real as in how she (and jon) scammed the neighbors, family, friends, community and church all these years and have her answer "real" questions, it would bring in ratings that have yet to be seen in TV.
A real in her face, no holding back interview that could be hyped for a couple of weeks before hand...you have to admit it would cater to the Kate fans who would watch to support her and to those who have had enough but would tune in to see how she would handle something other than the hand holding lovefest tour Ms Gosselin is currently enjoying.

I thought one of the tabloids would have smelled the blood Kate has left in the water surronding PA by now and exposd her but no, nothing.

If it's all about the ratings or sales numbers, why is no one seeing the obvious 5 star event that could be had?

Z, as someone on the inside of the beast, does any of this actually make any sense?

They were definitely taping for Monday's show - if you look closely, one of the pics shows Kate w/a mic-pack on her back standing next to Morales.

But, back to the NBC/TLC incestuous relationship....
Never mind the outcome of the interview, whether Morales attempts to ask tough questions of Kate or not, they have crossed a delicate line with this 'union'.

Are we heading towards the end of the big 3 network news organizations and completely into cable? With the blurring we're seeing with political coverage/broadcasts and pure commentary, I don't think we're far from the end of 'true' news broadcasters as we know them. Morales? As an employee she probably had to take this assignment, however I doubt it will ever be on her list of journalistic accomplishments.

If NBC News is so willing to compromise their reputation (in my opinion that's what they're doing) by farming out Morales to do the interview w/Kate, to broadcast on TLC - what kind of statement are they making about themselves?

I have an issue with how you describe the massive turnout the last 4 months in the ratings. You make it seem like Jon & Kate has had this huge audience the whole time when you reference the more than 70% drop in audience when in fact you are comparing one episode that was hyped for at least a month as the end of the marriage. Of course, the episode was huge in the ratings, because people want to see misery happen to other people. that is the reason I watched it.
You should be comparing the current ratings to the ratings from the 4th season to see the decline which is not as huge as you make it out to be.

I found where the ratings were a little less than 2.9 million for the 4th season. It does look like the 5th season is seeing a drop in ratings from the 4th season but it is not as drastic as you make it out to be where you say you haven't see a drop like this in 3 decades.

Hopefully, by the end of the year these 2 will go away.

We can agree on one thing, Scott: We both hope both of them will go away. And as you know, you can rack and stack ratings several different ways and come to several different conclusions. While we might disagree on size, there is one thing for sure: People are tuning this show out. Not that it looks like it going to matter one way or the other now that Jon has shut it down. This looks to be the end, and I don't think Kate will succeed on Tv in any new venture. there will be a curiousity tune-in at first for any new show, but she has become to messy a character even for reality TV. I will not be watching but I will come here to read your review and checkout you tube video of the "interview".

My feeling since NBC was "hired" is that NBC will only ask softball questions and will not do an indepth look at Kate's past, like the conceptions of the multiples.

The stories I have heard is the first time she had fertility treatments was when she was married less than a year, at 24 years old, and claiming Polycystic Ovary Disease. (As a RN working in OB and Pediatrics this sounds completely crazy, 24 year old should not get fertility treatment without several years of trying and tests. I have polycystic ovaries and I like many others with the disease have children without fertility treatment.)

The next fertility treatment after the twins (fertility treatment less than 2 years after the twins- wasn't her hands full enough?!) She was hospitalized for hyperstimulated ovaries and sent home without the Intrauterine insemination because usual policy is to wait until the next cycle to prevent large order multiples. 5-6 weeks later, on ultrasound, she is pregnant with 7 embryos. DId she go to another Dr to have the IUI or did she go home and have sex in order to have high order multiples on purpose?

If NBC/Natalie does not ask those questions and others- like does she really believe that her put downs of her husband, exposure of her children on the toliet, in the shower and having tantrums on TV is not emotionally harmful to them- then I will be canceling/blocking all NBC stations.

I guess NBC must be truly desparate to be linking themselves with the mess that is TLC...

Will the interview open with Kate starring in a self deprecating sketch?

Because that seems to be her shtick these days. Do a cutesy "see me make fun of myself" bit before leading into the famous it's all for my kids diatribe.

Sadly, I don't hold much hope that this interview will be much different from the rest.

Once truly exposed, she ceases to be any value to the media and right now she seems to be providing a lot of bread and butter.

I'm almost beginning to feel sorry for her...almost.

If Natalie throws softballs with the same questions we've heard over and over again, I think I'm turning off my TV forever. Everybody in the TV media is in bed with everybody else and it's turning my stomach.

If what we get is an intimate look at "the life and times of Kate, the REAL woman", as told by Kate Gosselin, then I'm definitely turning the TV off. With that twisted mind of hers, there is no way on God's green earth she can justify or explain her behavior that would make it okay.

The only interview that might even possibly satisfy me would be (1) Kate would finally admit that it's time to get these children off TV, (2) she would agree to REALLY keep the details of their divorce private, and (3) she has agreed to seek counseling for herself and the children. Believe me, I'm not holding my breath on any of those.

Kate went on the Today Show and cried to Meredith that she had a purse full of bills that she couldn't drop in the mail but AFTER the show, she went out and spent $174 on lunch (presumably with Steve).

Kate has money squirreled away somewhere. What about all those "cash only" love offerings she collected as well as the $20 bills for copies of signed family photos? I think Kate has a substantial 'rainy day" fund which she will use for her daily essentials like hand/pedicures, massages, hair, clothes and hooker heels.

If anyone believed Kate had only that one account, they are gullible beyond belief, I would say. Thanks. Z

Z, I'm really glad that you put through the comments from people who don't agree with the majority of us here & those who are Kate supporters. I've seen some talk "out there" that everything is one-sided here and that we're all castoffs from Gosselins Without Pity. Speaking for myself, I've NEVER posted on GWoP because I think they can be too harsh on some subjects that I just don't care about.

Quite honestly, this blog is the ONLY one that I've found (and I've seen many, many!) that offers intelligent discussions & opinions without resorting to namecalling if someone doesn't agree with the majority opinion.

However, I challenge those of you who are Kate supporters to put some substance into your posts here and engage us in intelligent debate. If you're going to come on here and be rude to Z; (a) you are going to tick us off because we respect him & (b) no one is going to take you seriously if you hurl insults and say things like "Jon sleeps with everything that moves" & those types of things. This challenge has been put forth quite a few times, but we've yet to see a Kate supporter come back with any substantial conversation. You do yourself & other Kate supporters a disservice but flying in and lobbing insults (and sometimes untruths); if you truly believe Kate is in the "right", let's here why!

Yes, I tried to be nice to the rude person by telling myself she didn't know we actually try to be civil even when we disagree at this blog. I am really impressed with your articles on Kate Gosselin. In the past, I watched their show when it first came out and I really believed that they were a nice family. I never really cared much for Kate's personality and I believe that she gets too much credit for absolutely nothing. I would also like to point out that it looks as if Kate is being taken care of. It sounds like these TV stations (TLC, NBC, ETC.) are trying to keep the public attention on her whether or not she has anything to offer. I really don't get it.

She is going to be interviewed again?! What is she going to say that everyone hasn't already heard? I'm not going to watch the interview. I have had it with this whack job. There seems to be no end in sight. People continue to enable this woman. What is she good at? She lies to the public and tries to convince people that she is a good mother.

She's an insult to me as a mother. I am disgusted at the very sight of her and I cannot take anymore of her silly interviews where she dresses like a street walker and keeps repeating herself on how she can't go back, she can only go forward and how she would do anything for her children.

I have two questions for you Z.

What makes her so special to the networks and can predict when she will go away?

Her ratings say she is no longer so special. So that is one thing. I think her appeal, though, really is train wreck. This supposed ideal mother, is, well, let's just say not so ideal. As I said in an earlier post, trhis show looks dead. She will probably get another with some initial tune-in. But I don't think ti will last more than three to six months before American viewers say goodbye to Kate and move on to the next reality freakshow character. It appears that Kate is having way too much fun at her interview at the Grove. I don't believe any hard questions were asked by Natalie. The people at the Grove are used to seeing "real celebrities" around so it's possible that without the cameras no one would have noticed her. Regarding the TLC/NBC marriage I had a thought that maybe you could join forces with John Stossel. The two of you as a team would be great. Hopefully you could also find out why TLC is still standing by Kate. What hold does she have over them? There are so many talented people out there waiting for a chance to be on a show. Why her?

Ordinarily an optimist, I hold out zero hope that Natalie M will show us anything of depth when it comes to interviewing Gosselin Girl.

We've already seen it played out again and again where the questions are all simply a set up for K8's practiced choruses of a) I have a new Can Do Attitude now!, b) My life is so hard and the aloneness is, well, so alone, c) I'm exhaused all the time, but this is my JOB, to support my kids, d) I AM A MOTHER; I would DIE for my kids, and my personal fave, e) "I am a high road taker.". One very clever sleuth on the GWOP blog was able to uncover something very interesting from ROL about an email about Jon/Octomom's new 'reality' show. Apparently she was able to take away the 'blacked out' email address and lo and behold...there wasn't any email addresses to begin with! Why the cover up to let readers think that this is a legitimate email when it wasn't? I think ROL / TLC / NBC are all in cahoots and in bed with each other. Not sure why all the negativity towards Jon? Is this a science project to see how much a person can take mentally and physically before they crack?

I think Jon should sue all of these media outlets who are fabricating these lies about him with slander or something.

If NBC, as a legitimate media outlet, wanted a good story, they should do a major investigative piece on how the Greedslin's have scammed everyone on every level. They should interview the pastors and members of fundamentalist christian churches where KON conned $$$$$$$$$ out of people (cash ONLY!), neighbors, former co-workers and volunteers, as well as talk to the IRS about rules related to reporting of cash "love offerings" and to the PA Labor Board, which is supposedly conducting an investigation into the Gosselin Eight's forced labor. And oh yes - where are the trust funds and college funds supposedly established for the kids??? These two are scammers and con artists and they need to be exposed for what they are. Wouldn't an investigative journalist just love to do some digging? One would think an expose on these two would drive ratings through the roof. Kate Greedslin is nothing but a mean and abusive narcissist and she needs to be exposed for what she is. Why is all this fluff and nonsense acceptable? Also, Z - love your work!!!

I can't believe Natalie Morales would even take this chance on this woman. Kate is not going to tell the truth anyway, the questions will be pre-approved by Kate's PR team, and they will edit anything out that doesn't sound the way they think it should sound. Why even do these interviews if she is going to dance around questions and say "its all for the kids" on just about every question she answers. If it were all for the kids...she would be home with the kids, instead of out shopping for people to interview her. Kate knows that answer works for her, and it just so happens to give her public sympathy. When is Kate going to realize she is fighting a losing battle...ITS OVER! She needs to go home and be the MOM she says she is.

Why is it that those who stop by to defend Kate do so by taking cheap potshots at Z? Why do they never give a concrete, fact-based rationale for why they like Kate? Comments such as "she is who she is," "she's a good mother" and the like only help cement in my mind, and I'm guessing the minds of other bloggers and readers, that Kate has shown no objective reason to be in her corner.

Do you really believe Kate will eventually just go away? It seems like all the powers that be are smiling on her, no matter what. She has such an entitled attitude and her arrogance is so out of control it is absurd. I cannot imagine what will happen if everyone would stop watching, if she didn't get to be on the Paula Deen show, if everything just disintegrated and she became a nobody again. I mean, can you imagine how difficult it would be to go back to being 'ordinary' again. Couldn't happen to a more deserving soul. The sad thing about all this is that no matter what happens to Kate and her 'media' career (you can hear me laughing all the way cross country), those children will still have her raising them. How utterly scary is that?

I really do. I think as soon as that show is shut down and she doesn't have the kids, she is on her way off the American stage. She doesn't know it, and TLC is hoping against hope to make some more money off her, but whaat does she possibly have to offer without the kids? She was weak on "The View," and that is when her handlers started to get scared and aggressive about defending her. Thanks. Z

Hi Z, Thanks for your research on Mondays show. Also, thanks for taking one for the team. I have a question about how the ratings for the shows are gathered. When the ratings are published for one of TLC's programs are they for the first airing only or do they combine ratings for both airings of J&K+8. I know that to combine the ratings is not the traditional way to do it but I wonder if when we see Radar On Line giving publishing TLC's ratings I find it suspicious at times. I guess I just don't trust TLC to be ethical about anything anymore.

I don't trust either. I have to head home from the office. I will expand this answer over the weekend -- and explain a little more how a cable channel like TLC can control what is and isn't known about the ratings for a show. Thanks. But that is a great question, and I am assuming just the one new episode. But Monday's would have been for the full hour, rather than just the usual half hour. Z

I'm guessing that when the time is right and the media thinks the audience is finally receptive to the ugly truth (possibly soon) we are going to see a huge wave of articles investigating the not-so-wholesome life of Kate Gosselin.

There was an article earlier this summer titled "Mom to Monster" (forgot which magazine, but I'm sure one of my fellow bloggers will know!) that hit many of the issues we discuss and had interviews with many people who knew Kate. I would have considered it scandalous and a sure end to Kate's career, but it hit about the same time Jon was caught with Hailey so it seemed to be somewhat left in the dust.

The recent Vanity Fair article also sounds like it was written and then held until the publisher decided the time was right. I think they nailed the timing of the release of that article and I'm hoping other media outlets will follow.

One of these days Kate's lies are going to catch up with her. What I find most strange are the lies about innocuous subject and lies that can be eaily verified as such.

It reminds me of the movie, Romy & Michele, where they told their former classmates that they were the ones who invented Post-its. Although, that is actually more believable than Kate Gosselin inventing the flag cake that has been gracing the July cover of every women's magazine for as long as I can remember...

1. How did Kate come to be diagnosed with PCOS? Why were you given fertility treatments at age 24 - most women must try for several years and undergo a battery of tests befored received fertility treatment for PCOS.

2. How did Kate get pregnant with high order multiples when, after hyperstimulation, she was sent home from the hospital without insemination. Did she take matters into her own hands with her husband, in spite of doctor's advice, precisely to create high order multiples?

3. How did Jon and Kate intend to support eight children, had they had never landed a reality show?

4. Why did Kate Gosselin continue to solicit church congregations for love offerings (as late as Feb '09) when they already had banked millions from the show and sales of Kate's books, and were in contract for a million dollar home?

5. Exactly how much money has been set aside for the children's college educations?

6. Exactly how many hours of filming does it take to get enough footage for a single episode of the show?

7. Have the material gifts, cash photo sales and love offerings received by the Gosselins been reported to the IRS?

Hello, mom too. Welcome to Z's blog. I have a question for you, and for anyone else who thinks that Kate is a "great mom" and someone to be admired.

About a week ago, Heather made a simple request for anyone to come forward and provide a few specific examples of why they think Kate is a "great mom." The only restrictions were that statements such as "oh, she is working so hard for the kids," or "Jon is a dirtbag/loser/cheater/scum/etc.," would not be accepted as concrete examples. (As stated too many times to count, Kate is not working hard for her children; her CHILDREN are working hard to support her and Jon's lifestyles.) But guess what? No one responded. Not one person visited here with even one measly little example. What does that tell you?

So here is your opportunity now, in a calm, rational way without harsh language, to be the voice of Kate's supporters and educate those of us here who have seen NO behavior or talk from Kate that would make us think she is anywhere near being a great mother.

And while you are compiling your great mother list, mom too, and any other Kate admirer, please tell me which of these behaviors a "great mom" would find acceptable and not cruel:

- Making your children participate in an activity (filming) to earn you money with NO regard as to whether they want to participate or not.

- Screaming at your young son for getting gum on his security blanket, and while he is crying his eyes out, repeatedly threatening to throw his blankie away.

- Allowing your children to be filmed naked for millions of people to see.

- Laying your very sick child alone on a cold laundry room floor with a bucket so he wouldn't ruin any bedding/clothing/carpeting with his vomit.

- Ignoring the pleas of your son to help relieve intense pain he was feeling, because you were too busy shopping.

- Forbidding your children to ever enter your bedroom, even if they are sick or hurt or scared.

- Encouraging your sons to point guns and pretend to shoot at real people (responsible mother-of-the-year award here for this one).

- Constantly threatening your children.

- Continually mocking or making fun of your children.

I could go on and on, with lots more examples, but I will stop here to spare those who have seen or spoken of these examples many times before.

So, mom too, I look forward to your response and am eager to be enlightened.

Fantastic analysis of this situation. Why are you the only one in the media asking the "real" questions?

I will be staging my own personal boycott of this interview on Monday, and I welcome everyone to join me. We can let Z charge into battle in our stead, like a modern-day Braveheart, and return to us with all the sordid (and I'm sure completely frustrating) details of the hard-hitting interview.

I wish we could all gather together during that hour while Z's head is exploding (really, really sorry, Z), and share a grand boycott with humor and speculation as to how much stroking of Kate's ego is going on. This Kate/NBC infomercial cannot be that big of a shock to anyone who has been watching NBC. Their news cred has been going downhill for the past few years. I find it telling that the NBC reporter in these promo photos is looking so adoringly at Kate, as if she were going to kiss her.
And Z, thought you'd like to know that there are positives to this Gosselin mess - I discovered you and all of your writing, which I am enjoying, immensely!

If the television industry INSISTS on falling for Kate and her prolific commentary skills, single mother sovereignty, and impeccable razzle dazzle, the only scenario I could POSSIBLY stomach would be to cast her as a lowly intern on Fox TV's House. The drama would not be focused on her alone, she would be in full finger flapping mode in response to the rampant nastilies in the medical wards, and I could at least count on the consistency of House's brusque character to hurl a few rebukes at her churlish, sullen specter.
If she wants to "pursue an acting career" put her into theatrical combat and let's see if she can survive away from the sanctuary of her narcissistic perch.

Is Kate still under contract with TLC even though Jon stopped the filming? Doesn't that automatically make the contract void? How long do contracts usually run? I think this will be the same interview as last week's, just a different setting. I almost feel sorry for Kate because I believe TLC is pumping her up to milk her for as much money as possible, and then they'll discard her. After seeing how they trashed the father of the kids they are trying to film and air, just because he cut off production, I don't think they'll have a problem using and trashing the mother of these children either.

This is all about money for TLC. Jon embarassed them by releasing details of their contract so they trashed him. I don't think they have any loyalty to the kids, Kate or Jon.

They are overexposing Kate and the only reason they would do so is if they knew she was at the end of her usefulness.

I think he is just in violation. They are only suing him. And even if she wasn't under contract, I would think kate would want to be to keep the money coming in. Thanks. Z

With respect to Kate having only $1,000 left after the $230,000 withdrawals, the court documents posted on ROL included an email from Kate's banker to Kate which listed the various transfers from the account in question. The banker also stated that "I did process your other transfers for your other business accounts." Marie, I think you comments about TLC using Kate for what she's worth and then discarding her is probably very accurate. That's also a really ironic scenario because isn't that what Kate did with Kevin, Jodi, Beth and maybe even Jon. When they are of no use to her they seem to be discarded. I won't feel sorry for Kate if TLC discards her...she's had plenty of time on the gravy train. I do feel sorry for the children and I truly hope that a judge arranges for an investigation into their financial security.

Any parent signing a reality TV show contract is hurting all the other children who are trying to pursue a career and work under industry standards/guidelines by allowing the producers to not declare the kids "working" but label them "participants"...so these two parents owe the thousands of kids out there who do have talent and are working an apology for defying industry standards.

I cannot believe another news media is about to interview Kate Gosselin. She is trying so hard not to sink, but the more she puts herself out there, the more people can't stand her. I have been a cameraman in Los Angeles since the mid 90's. My wife and I were fans of the show J&K for the first couple of seasons but after watching a TLC marathon over the holiday weekend last spring, we both came to realize what a ridiculous, empty, greedy, exploitative couple Jon and Kate are. I have made it a point of interest to educate people on the dangers of child performers being used by parents on reality television shows. There needs to be immediate action to pierce this phony "documentary" protectionism the producers of these shows hide behind in order to use and work young children for profit while avoiding any protections or basic compensation required in standard television work or basic rights to any child worker.

I kinda think also that when she said she holds up to her contracts, she may also have TLC by the B's.They signed, Jon wanted out but Kate did not. So here we are.

Anyone expecting the Morales "interview" to be anything other than the usual Kate lovefest will be quite disappointed.

This has already been filmed, probably being tweeked by the NBC techs and Ms Morales will be added to the list of so called jounalists who have let Ms Kate get away with her gobby-gook manner of spewing her odd and annoying lifestyle.

The recent appearances of Kate G on many tv shows merely cement the fact that ratings are wanted and needed by ALL stations, no matter how trivial or or truth-challenged the topic might be.

By this time, all media outlets, ranging from the New York Times to Star magazine knows who the Gosselins are. They know what they are going to get by interviewing this woman, yet they forge ahead with promises of "in depth and bombshell" interviews.

The old adage "you can't get blood from a stone" now bring us an entirely new representation in the name of Kate Gosselin.

Kate should just record one of her interviews and sit there and lip-sync, dresssed in any of her weird outfits.

I have a feeling this "Kate: Her Story" will be sort of a "follow Kate around for a few days and see how busy and wonderful she is". And, of course, one of those days will be Kate shopping at The Grove in CA.

I'll probably watch the Monday show just to see how far this farce is continued.

Maybe the next installment from TLC can be .. you know.. something like.... "Kate: The Ring Fits!" "We don't care if mommy or daddy are here as long as mommy has that diamond and pearl ring, that is what is most important to us and we are proud to buy it for her"

I was just looking on the Nielsen website. Looks like for Cable on week of 10-19 no reports of Jon & Kate plus 8 making the cut for top 10.

I then googled over to BY THE NUMBERS website which has been talked about on this blog....

Nope, for the 10/27 list of cable shows Jon & Kate did not make the top 25.

Z, I am a little confused though about the DVR revolution. Do they count our #s if we tape? Does that lead to the overall success or failure of a show?

Hmm, I say all this because there are googles out there with things like the "Empire Kate Gosselin made" That is not truth, the empire Kate's children made is more my take on the story.

Yes, DVR replays are now counted in avariety of way. But "Jon & Kate" came nowhere near the Top 25 in months. The last two weeks, still not close. Last week, I wrote about the many shows that beat J&K. That is what's so ridiculous aboput TLC getting an outfit like radaronline to say it has "huge" ratings. Thanks. Z

Hi Karen, It is a poorly reported, purely speculative, tabloid report, without substance at this point. It is third-rate journalism, and the lack of comment from the supposed filmmaker would indicate that. So, does the lack of any indication where the initial report comes from. An anonymous source of information and no comment, often means it was planted (think TLC) or made-up (think tabloids). And now, TLC is totally in bed with the tabloids. Thanks. Z

Thanks for your article filling us in about the TLC/NBC connection. You are helping anyone who reads what you write to understand what is really happening in the Gosselin mess. I believe TLC has used the parents and that trickled down to the parents using the 8 kids. Kate better enjoy her last 15 minutes of fame and save the money. I believe you are right about her leaving "show biz" eventually. Most of the viewers can see through the lies, made-up words, and want-to-be attitude of both these talentless grifters.

It's raining here in Atlanta - & of course I have 400 lbs of candy to give away *LOL* - so I'm trying to stay away from it and got to thinkin' about the interview coming up Monday night.

This is pure speculation - but what if NBC with Natalie Morales DID start out to do an "in-depth interview" with Kate (which - as we know was cursed from the beginning, as Kate has no depth) - and the restrictions of what Kate would talk about - or could be questioned about - were so many - that the interview came off as pure fluff. NBC, once the interview was previewed for approval, said Pullllleeeeze & decided not to broadcast it on the NBC network.

TLC, having never met a supposed ratings booster it didn't love, said "Well heck NBC - we need something to show for our dying in the dirt Gosselins - let's talk money!"

So - NBC gets some of their costs to produce the fluff reimbursed - TLC has enough video to make a show out of it - and Natalie Morales - poor Natalie Morales - is caught with this poop on her resume.

Didn't the Today Show once have a chimp as part of the cast? So NBC news is just coming full circle.

I don't understand how people can take the side of one party to a marriage and blame the other party solely for the breakup. In any marriage, both people contribute. If Kate's so wonderful, why did she choose Jon to be the father of her 8 kids? I think Jon and Kate were perfectly suited. He's weak-willed and immature; she's a bully who would tell him what to do.

I also will not be watching this farce of an "interview"--I'll come here and read about it afterwards.
Anyone tuning in hopes that Ms. Morales will get anything new out of Katie Irene is in for a disappointment. Neither TLC nor Kate would agree to do any interview in which the hard questions would be asked.

Shady Katie keeps spinning her tall tales & its interesting to see/read all the believers who constantly bite the bait. Then she reels in the believers in with her sad, "poor me, I have no $$" stories then laughs all the way to the bank because the believers increase the media attention, hunger for interviews, etc AND she collects the goodies ($$, freebies, etc). LOL!! I must say, she is a savvy marketer w/the help from TLC & her PR team!

Jon has no innocence in this fiasco. He ran AMOK, crazy, irresponsible with his antics. Does he realize everything he does will be forever documented because of the media attention, internet, etc? He obviously has NOT had a trustworthy, reputable team to help him through this disaster!

They are still buying into Kate's manic fantasy, she lies, then forgets what she has told people, she then backtracks and spins the code language.
I am really surprised at N.B.C. going along with this, ratings or not. They are a network with previous credibility. I wonder why everyone is playing soft ball with Kate Gosselin.
This farce with the Total Losers Channel has gone on long enough.

#4 Natalie how will this interview further your career? Seeing the hard economic times I could understand, well um you know you have prior experience using a camera, sound, etc. Do you plan on Radaronline being your life's plan B?

#5 Natalie now this is important. Do you think interviewing Kate was the most comfortable, normal thing to do for this juncture in your journalistic career? Your media ethics teacher at Rutger's University must be blushing proud right now?

Please don't think for a minute that TLC used the Gosselin family without their knowledge. Jon and Kate began peddling their home movies as soon as the babies were born. Remember all the home movies they made? Those were sent all over the country as audition tapes. The Gosselins knocked on TLC's door and not the other way around. Shame on them if they didn't also line up legal advise.

Okay, I'll bite and make an attempt at answering the question why Kate is a great mother. ... Just give me a minute. ... or two...

Nevermind! Though I will say that I believe KATE thinks everything she's doing is what's best for her children. Just like a paranoid schizophrenic might believe aliens are in their cereal. What she's stating is truly her reality and who are we to burst that bubble? Perhaps if there weren't 8 innocents being hurt in the process I'd be fine with letting Kate live in her narcissitic bubble.

I have little ones in my life the same ages as the 8 so it breaks my heart to see them harassed by paparazzi, brushed off by self-centred parents, and raised by paid staff. If there's one positive thing to say about this whole debacle it's that Jon is bringing family back into their lives (his mother, brothers and now Kate's brother Kevin & Aunt Jodi). At least ONE parent is giving these kids the extended family they so desperately need.

As for the "interview" on Monday, seriously? What was the Q&A for then? Or the multiple People magazine "exclusives", or the Today show appearances? Or the million other tv appearances? What happened to taking the high road? And what was that comment she made to Ellen? "Ones of us talk to everyone and ones of us stay home cooking dinner", glad she finally admits Jon can cook ;)

But, like Z, I'll tune in Monday in the hopes that Natalie can slip in a zinger or two, though that doesn't mean we'll get an honest answer.

Is Natalie Morales a hard journalist like Lara Logan? Not being sarcastic here since I do not watch morning TV or NBC very much. And is the practice of hiring network news division by cable networks a common practice? I'd really like to know how much TLC paid NBC to produce this special.

I will say no more or I will get mad at what interviews like this one with Kate Gosselin do to news divisions built on the risks that journalists like Lara Logan take to bring Americans real information about the world. Kate has been asked some of the big questions in the past, but her answers remain rehearsed and often unbelievable and the interviewers have not pressed the issue. She has repeatedly asserted that she wanted to try for one more child when she became pregnant with the sextuplets, so why did she have so many embyos implanted, especially since she knew she wouldn't undergo selective reduction? How did she and Jon plan to support the kids had they not landed their show? Why will Kate do anything to keep the show going, even though it has torn her family apart and will probably ruin her children's lives? Her laughable claim that she had $1000 in the bank with which to feed her kids was a transparent bid for sympathy in hopes that she be allowed to resume filming the show. Meredith Viera didn't pursue the outrageous claim that her kids were in danger of going hungry. So infuriating. Just because Kate Gosselin reproduced stupidly and irresponsibly does not mean the world owes her a reality show and luxurious life. I wish someone would finally take her to task. Maybe Natalie Morales will but somehow I doubt it

Why are we not seeing a news organization dissect this show and the reactions of our society? I would watch a reputable news journalist complete an investigative report as to how this show and other reality shows have duped the public and why everyone is so enamored with the family and this situation. I'm sure this will be studied in sociology courses and written into text books as a case study of how the public reacts and acts to this situation. I am begging for a true reporter that has no bias to expose reality shows and it's effects on children as well as why society cares about this family and it's antics. Pennsylvania Reading Eagle obituaries have listed a dear friend/volunteer of the Gosselin family Janet Weidenheimer aka "Nana Janet" She was one of the very beginning selfless volunteers who did ironing and duties for the family.

Seriously, all kidding aside, before all the tabloid eclipse of this family there were many people who gave of their time and money and invested in this family. Jon & Kate I hope you are taking notes. We aren't promised tomorrow.

Kate went on the Today show to tell the world that her husband emptied out their joint account and left her with only one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). She further stated that she had a purse full of bills that she couldn't pay...YET... that very same day, she went to lunch and charged up a one hundred seventy dollar ($170.00) lunch tab and then that evening she, with bodyguard in tow as well as a writer from Vanity Fair magazine complained how she wanted to go to Nobu for sushi and her handlers told her that it wouldn't be a good idea. Instead, they talked her into going on a shopping spree. That would dwindle down that one thousand dollar bank account rather quickly, considering she needed that for "Her Kids".
I'd be willing to lay odds that Monday's show will feature Kate playing the vaulted saintly role while looking into the camera with a box of tissues close by for those cameo tears. I'm certain that whatever NBC tries to squeeze out of this turnip of a human being won't be anywhere near revealing as her previous hideous behavior that has been captured on tape both on and off the show. TLC needs to realize that when you take a glass of dirty water and try to put clean water in it, it's still a dirty glass of water. Their "Kate Brand" will never clean up until they dump her out.

Just a little clarification: from what I understand, K8 underwent IUI, not IVF. Her "story" has more holes in it than Swiss Cheese :

IVF involves implanting viable embryos and is an absolute, controlled procedure (I know, I underwent it myself). No reputable fertility specialist will implant more than 2-3 embryos.

IUI is a little riskier when it comes to the possiblity of HOMs because there is no "control" over how many fertilize. My understanding is that K8 had hyperstimulated ovaries ( too many eggs) and was told to skip the cycle. She ignored her doctor's advice (this doctor, interestingly enough, was not the same doctor that helped her get pregnant with the twins. why K8 would go to a different doctor is suspect to me)and had relations with Jon, who probably had no idea about K8's "condition". Viola ! 7 eggs fertilized, one spontaneously aborted.

K8's claim that she wanted "just one more" is just one of her many, many lies.

As for myself, yes at one time I did think that Kate was attractive in a girl-nextdoor sort of way. But that was long before she began appearing in even the most routine of daily activities in full theatrical makeup, high heels, mini skirts, manicured nails, and most importantly - stiff, expressionless face that is so much like some of our botoxed and facelifted celebrities. As for talent - I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing what you are apparently seeing. She cannot "act", she is not genuine in front of the camera, she is not a sympathetic "character", she seems quite inarticulate when being interviewed. But these are my personal thoughts. Can you expand on yours? I'd really like to hear them so that I might begin to understand exactly what her appeal is to (seemingly) so many in terms of fans and media.

I saw the show maybe couple of times and that was it for me.Kate simply scares me-there is something about her -the way she talks to people,even to her children.She was like a dictator to put it mildly.WHile I do not agree with Jon's actions as of late,I have to say he seemed to be much more human and kind.In the episode I watched,Kate was trying to hire a housekeeper(and was surprised nobody wanted to work for her).Anyway she found one and then went on to "inspect" how the lady did.Of course nothing was done to Kate's expectations-I mean, does this woman realize her own kids are paying for this?In another scene one of the kids has an :acident" in the crib and there is mother Kate acting how horible it is and her face looks horified by it!I think even some adults could have an "acident" after speaking with her.This woman was complaining how she hates to be folowed,photographed...etc-yet every chance she gets she is on TV.She is pathetic and unfortunately Jon is not behaving that great lately also.Poor kids-that's all I can say!

HateKate I have worked in the medical field but only know very limited stuff about infertility mostly because I am "fertile myrtle". However, that being said I do know the OB/Gyn docs I have went to have guidelines about infertility. I do not know how, when or why about the Gosselin story. All I know is as my grandmother would say there is nothing about being a "little pregnant" now the sextuplets are here what are you gonna do. Oh yes, a reality show to exploit them. I truly hope professional doctors are taking a look at this.

All I can say about all that is the Jon & Kate plus 8 has made me wary of getting involved with TLC in another show. I haven't watched the Hayes, Roloff's, or Duggars in the past 3 weeks.

I would love to see a good, old-fashioned, journalistic expose of the dirt and deception behind this entire story and reality shows in general, especially those that have children as their focus. Maybe someone could convince Woodward & Bernstein, or Michael Moore! I continue to be confused about the depth of entanglement between TLC and mainstream networks, most disturbingly, "news" networks - it seems they all have some interest in protecting Kate and I simply don't understand it. CNN's Larry King Live was fluff at best, ABC & The View - is this really the same Barbara Walters who interviewed the Shah of Iran and posed the hard questions about his beliefs around the superiority of males, or Anwar Sadat, or Fidel Castro? How embarrassing for her at the end of a long and seemingly legitimate career in journalism, to be reduced to fawning over this ridiculous pseudo-celebrity (meaning Kate Gosselin). Regis and Kelly - same thing...no meat to the interview, and later according to the Vanity Fair article, Kate feels quite part of the "inner circle" of celebrity by picking up a phone call from "Oh, it's Kelly!!". Meredith Vieira's interview. No hard questions asked and evidently Kate's stock answers that we've heard so many times before were taken seriously. Even to feigning poverty and being unable to feed her children. Huh?? The money in question, according to later reports, wasn't even designated for food and clothing for the kids...it was for property taxes, etc. And yet Meredith accepted these lies and moved on to the next dishonest exchange. The only interview I've seen personally that did give me a giggle, was Ellen's...she took a few veiled pokes at Kate, and Kate seemed oblivious which made it all the more amusing! Again, would absolutely love some truly legitimate journalist to dissect this confusing scenario. If only as a sociology statement, as Z indicates. This would be a perfect time for someone to step up as I am increasingly disturbed to see TLC re-enacting similar scenarios with other reality shows involving children (i.e., Duggars and their "second wedding", white designer dress and all...weird trips to farms and Dollywood, etc.). I hope they're prepared for the fallout if they allow this amoral network to overtake their lives. Enough rant for now... Any legitimate journalists out there willing to take this on?

Hi Z, My husband is watching football. The announcers were talking about 2 teams who hate each other like Jon and Kate! They have even infiltrated football!

I looked at my husband and said, "We have created a monster in Kate Gosselin." And, my hubby didn't miss a beat. He said, "That's right. And, now it's time to cut her head off!"

I used a drug called Clomid for an issue with fertility and my sister-in-law did as well. I can tell you that you usually are not even considered for these treatments until every other possible cause has been excluded. We went through tons of tests and after five years we were finally able to use drugs. I have always wondered how Kate Gosselin was able to get this treatment without other things being considered first? Unless because of working in OB/GYN she had an in with the doctors?

I understand Irene about not getting invested in another TLC show. I used to watch the Roloff's too, but have not watched lately. It would be sad to get all invested and then have the rug pulled out from under you again.

A new sweeps month has arrived. Has anyone heard if Kate is appearing on any daytime shows this month?

I find it intriguing that Kate has not had a recent appearance on Oprah, Dr, Phil or Rachel Ray. All three are under the Harpo brand, correct? Has Oprah had her fill of Kate? Has Kate ever been on Bonnie Hunt? Do you think Ellen will have her back?

I think Kate has to be burned out with some of these hosts. TLC has showed no restraint or long view in their handling. they are just trying to get what they can before Kate is cooked. Z

I think NBC is coming to the party too late. It's all been said already and thanks to internet archives and people who've gumshoed this story from the first sign of deception, it's all been recorded. Kate can't overcome that goliath no matter how hard she cries. If TLC does get higher viewer ratings, it will only be that people tuned in to see if she can trump last week's performance.

I agree. And for people who really want children it is hard, really. I hope Kate brought these kids into this world out of LOVE, but why does she now say she "does it all for the kids", but has turned this into such a "it's all about me" mess. Our weekend quality loves Disney. She is everything Disney. She has been listening to my Jon & Kate rants all weekend. (As Kate would say, "God bless her.") Another employee comes to make copies and hears us talking. He joins in to tell us a story.

It went like this, "My wife ropes me into watching Jon & Kate an episode about a Disney Trip. The Gosselins get a free trip, unlimited access to Disney, characters and rides. What do I witness Kate doing? She is griping because they graciously give her kids ice cream & the hissy fit ensues cuz the little sextuplet is ruined."

Lordie bee fellow bloggers. I am rolling laughing. Now my poor workmate is so upset cuz she did not realize Kate defamed Disney...lol....

First, Z, I don't believe I have thanked you for everything. THANKS!!!!! You bring the truth out in the open (and you still print the sheeples' views, after editing - lol) you give all of us a place to express our opinion on this and other matters.

Irene, you got me thinking about the IUI discussion. I fully believe Kate switched doctors because the first one would not perform the procedure again for Kate. I also believe that Kate knew she was overstimulated, went home to Jon, told him nothing, and got pregnant.

As sorry as I have felt for the kids the last two years, I am really sick at my stomach because I just realized that the tups are going to find out one day that their Mom got pregnant with them for all of the benefits they would reap. They were never wanted for love, they were wanted for money, at least by Kate.

There was also a story that Jon and Kate had almost finalized a single child adoption before the pregnancy with the tups. I bet Kate cancelled that adoption because she knew that she could never convince Jon to get his Dad to pay for the IUI treatments if they adopted. I think she used her father-in-law for all the money she could get including financing both pregnancy fertility treatments. I have always felt that her first meeting with Jon, she found out he had a doctor for a dad, and she saw $$$$$ and set her trap for Jon.

Regarding K8, unfortunately I think all she wanted was HOMMs (Higher Order Money Makers). There is SO much that has been documented - her greed and selfishness have a very long history.

I am a big supporter of the GWOP and other anti boards. However, with all this crazy Jon stuff recently, I swear he is working with Kate and her managers to purposely make himself look like a loser ahole. It just gets worse for him on a daily basis and better for her. I cannot believe any more that this is real. I also finally realized that it is the bloggers (like me) who are keeping these people in the public eye. Some bloggers claim to actually be in contact with Kate and/or Jon. They are using these bloggers to post stuff on their blogs which is causing all of us to continue to talk about them and keep them relevant.

Bloggers please do not let Sherry T fool you. I have some facebook exchanges to prove it.

We really had a ball. We can be found on Z's facebook if anyone wants to join in & link to us. We have a few tricks up our sleeve to try to get us through the final weeks of this charade. Just don't want to give away the secrets to the Kate Kool aide camp.

Hi Z and fellow bloggers: I would love watch an interview of Kate by Lisa Ling. You may remember that Kate recently called into the View when Lisa was co-hosting and Lisa was very straight-forward in her questions and her opinions. Lisa pointed out that her own parents went through a very difficult divorce when she was 7 years old and that she could not imagine having to endure it under the gaze of the public. Kate sniffled about how the family needed the show for financial reasons and Lisa commented that there had to be other ways to earn money. This is where Kate made her "I would work at McDonalds for my kids" statement. In fact, Lisa was scoring so well that Barbara very quickly, and somewhat tersely, put an end to the phone call. It's the closest thing to an actual journalistic interview that I've seen anyone do with Kate. I was pretty disappointed that Barbara stopped it so quickly. I mean Barbara doesn't mind taking Paula Deen to task about the type of foods that she cooks, but she needs to treat Kate with kid gloves?! Really!

What to do you guys think? Maybe 15 rounds of verbal sparring between Lisa Ling and Kate would be worth buying on Pay-Per-View? I would even pay extra to see Kate "knocked out" in an early round. . . although 15 rounds of heavy verbal pounding would be fantastic as well!

TLC: I think we've found a viable back up plan for your Kate-ster. And, if that doesn't work there is always professional wrestling. I think she would be a hit! Outsized ego, penchant for skimpy apparel, and a propensity for talking as though she's a living cartoon.

TJ - In Multiple Blessings Kate said she argued with the nurse & dr about reduction. She said, "Staring into Jon's eyes with determination, I asked him if he would really be able to stand before the Lord one day and admit that we had allowed our precious babies to be killed in order to make our lives easier and more convenient."

Funny, she's gone to lengths with these six and her twins to make her life more than easy and convenient. It does make me think she'd been planning this for a long time.

I can't stand O, but it would be a hoot to see her dragging J & K back on her show and grilling them the same way she did James Frey:

"O: J & K are here and I have to say it is difficult for me to talk to you because I feel really duped. But more importantly, I feel that you betrayed millions of readers. I think it's such a gift to have millions of people to read your work and that bothers me greatly. So now, as I sit here today I don't know what is true and I don't know what isn't...."

Glad you had a happy ending too! I can give you so many stories of happy endings. My nephews, my friends daughter, my cousins adopted daughter. No matter how they get here or come to our families if they are loved they are a blessing. I hope Jon and Kate's kids have "happy hearts" in the end. Hey everybody! Catching up on posts but had to respond to one right away...

Angel - (at 11:05 p.m.) - I know that I'm too disgusted by Kate Gosselin's antics to render an objective opinion on her talent as an actress or her attractiveness. But, for me at least, that's not really the issue. Rather, by stating that she would like to be in a movie or do a cartoon voice, Kate is once again showing just how delusional and narcissistic (sp?) she really is.

Most actors spend years honing their craft, performing for little or no pay and working at other jobs to support themselves. Kate's statement that she would like to undertake these projects because being behind a camera is "comfortable" for her is, frankly, ridiculous. As with any job, the question of success is what you can do for the profession, not the other way around.

This is not an isolated incident. In the 10/19 Vanity Fair article, Kate says she "just laughs" at those who think being a co-host on The View might be difficult and states that it just comes "so very easy" to her. Oddly enough, she made this comment after her second appearance on the show, when most reviewers gave her a clear thumbs down.

I've met people like this before and these statements are a clear way to disrespect the achievements made by other people.

HateKate & Sherry T. - Thanks for discussing Kate's lies about her "struggle" with infertility. The story just doesn't compute and Kate seems to have no qualms telling it to anyone who will listen. I also find it outrageous that one the sixgosselins website she writes about how they began the process to adopt a baby (it sounds like a private adoption with someone they knew), but after praying to God Kate decided that wasn't the right thing to do (something about God having more babies for them or some such drivel). It then goes on to say what a difficult time that was for her and how she mourned for a month.

First of all, it was hard on KATE?? What about the mother who thought she had found someone to love the baby she was giving up? What about the women who would give anything to have the chance to adopt a baby?? Seriously, we're supposed to feel sorry for Kate in that scenario?

Also, effectively saying she went back for more fertility treatments becaue of God is a complete cop-out. Say you wanted more biological children and decided not to go through with the adoption, but let's please not blame God for your fertility experiment.

Finally, why bring up the adoption at all? Since they were in the process, chances are a number of people know the biological mother and might even know who adopted the child. Can you imagine being labeled as the one God told Kate Gosselin not to adopt???

OK, now I'm fired up.

Really glad you got a laugh out of our joint post. We planned it together. Thanks for the support about the issues regarding fertility and adoption. We have a family because of medicine and advances in science and my cousin has a beautiful adopted daughter, we love her to pieces and I have nephews because of science. For Kate to have abused that would be really wrong. I was never sure why they did not go through with the adoption. I am not sure if that was in the Multiple Blessings book. And you are so right how could she blame God, I am not sure why she seems to have thrown her religion out the window.

Yikes, I thought the nana Janet thing was not true, but I couldn't get a look at the link it was not there. So did she really pass away? I liked her. That is very sad.

Good to have you back with us Suzi J. Your posts are very insightful and I enjoy reading them. Are you watching on Monday or letting Z watch for you??

I've been watching the show since the beginning and I blame TLC for the downfall. The producers of the show had to see this destruction coming. Kate ridiculed Jon, belittled him, made faces at him, etc. and TLC kept filming with relish. Unfortunatley, thanks to TLC, the kids will see all this in the future. Jon and Kate need to get real jobs, find new lives and continue to be there for the kids. (Kate needs to work on this more than Jon because she's so in love with herself)

Wouldn't we all like to see questions asked of Ms kate by Michelle Duggar?

A down to earth woman who loves her husband and has raised her 19 (gasp) children to be respectful & loving human beings. She doesn't raise her voice to them, she asks kindly and firmly. (aside to Kate .. this is called RESPECT). She admits that she needs the help of her older girls and thanks them profusely. I doub there ever was a "not a nanny" in that household.

While I worry about Mrs Duggar's "innards" with giving birth every year for 20 years and I could never fathom having that many children, I certainly respect her & her husband. I think "what you see is what you get". Their friends speak highly of them and they have dedicated their lives to helping others. They don't ask for money, they built and designed their own home (later with professional help) and have several thriving small businesses and several rental properties.

If TLC doesn't think viewers are aghast & amused at the dichotomy of these families, they are very dumb and heads should roll. Ms O'Neill.. you listening?

Z, this family not only started their whole journey on the christian circuit thru speaking engagements with requirements for churches. They sold picutres of their brood $20.00 each. (cash only)
They required love offerings. Also, the book Multiple Blessing has scriptures and all about their journey with there faith through this experience.

See you have to understand way back in the Season 1/season 2 it was told to us as viewers that they were not able to bring their faith into the show!~ there faith was edited out. I will steal a line from you Z~ SURE!

Kate was pregnant with the twins 7 months after marrying Jon . They were born late 2000. Three years later she was pregnant with 6.(born 2004)

In less than 5 years Kate had two pregnancies. Not bad for a person who had fertility issues.

Suzi J you hit the nail on the head tonight about the christianity plight of the Gosselins.

Z, this is a family whose website www.sixgosselins.com has christianity all over it. They booked churches all over the country panhandling "love offerings" with their demands when arrangements were made for these churches. Some churches would list on the tour sites that "no this no that". They sold pictures for $20 each for the kids "college funds" cash only at that.

They used to say in Season 1 and 2 when promoting show that there faith was edited out of the show. They had no control over that producers wouldnt show it.

To add on to all this...why the ring deal means so much to us is Kate & Jon would hint on a show or their show wanting something the viola ~~ it showed up. For instance, the UTAH TRIP Kate says to Beth Carson she has long term goals of wanting to go to Hawaii viola Hawaii show~~

Jon & Kate systematically beat all corners of this system, the unknowing neighbors, relatives, friends, TV viewers. All for $$$$$

You really should contemplate busting this wide open and writing about how they exploited kids, christianity & viewers in the name of getting famous.

No, I'm actually not even tempted to watch. It wil of course be more Kate-spin and crocodile tears. But most importantly, Kate is once again making personal matters public fodder in a way that is (or will be) incredibly embarrassing and heartbreaking for her children in years to come.

What I can't get over... is there really anyone out there who thinks the children won't be affected by this? This isn't some "in the heat of the moment" interview either. Nope, Kate travelled to Caifornia and got herself all decked out to create this little family memory!

Hi bloggers. I got my old computer hooked up so I could see what's happening. I had hardly recovered from Michelle Obama's cat costume when I saw that Jon has dumped Hailey (or maybe she dumped him.) Man, is he screwed up. He needs to be with real people in the real world instead of in this media frenzy that is populated with such phony, money grubbing #&*#!%. Even the rabbi is a media whore. Psychiatrists could have a field day studying him. He's bouncing around from one self-destructive situation to the next and in the worst kind of environment imaginable. Heaven help him. It's too much for me to process, it's turned so bad for him. I need to take a shower or go to the mountains or the beach or drink a whole bottle of wine or have a lobotomy or all of the above. Who to blame, who to blame?? This may be the ugliest reality show ever. If so, then TLC can take a lot of the blame.

Kate Gosselin has a following and she isn't going to be the reason any network fails. Right now she is much more favored than the loser Jon Gosselin. He has no class, he talks out of both sides of his mouth and is a poor excuse for a father. He needs to evaluate his life out of the media, get a REAL job and take some responsibility. If he stays as he is he is a loser and Kate deserves to have full custody and Jon limited visitation.

If Natalie Morales runs marathons, she should have run the other way from this interview. If she softballs it with Kate, she will lose any credibility she has.
The promo states it will be the *real* story of Kate the single mother!! First up, she is not a single mother, she is still married and even after divorce does not qualify as single as the children's father is still in their lives contributing both time and money and she has a whole army of help.
Secondly, we all know that there is no *real* in Kate Gosselin's life. It will be a well rehearsed continuation of her usual spin on things, with about 60 "ums" (one minute per rev) thrown in along with a few swallows and downward looks...always a sign of untruths.
I will not contribute to their ratings but will wait for recaps, always much better than the actual *performance* and it WILL be a performance!!
I wish you could interview her Z although I know they would not let you within 10 miles of her, boy would that be a great interview!! :)

Please think about considering ABC'S Monday night football. The NEW ORLEANS SAINTS are playing.

In the beginning of K&J+8, I remember they used phrases like "God will let us know" or "God will guide us" or "we prayed and got the answer".

Kate had all those stupid yellow post-its with bible verses all over the bathrooms and kitchen. I remember how surprised I was that someone with her supposed mess & dirt phobias could tolerate yellow papers stuck on walls and cabinets.

Their church appearances were all laden with "God" references and boy, did those congregations eat that stuff up as they emptied their pockets so the church could pay for Gosselins to appear. Then, once sucked in, they also paid money for a photo of the Gosslins. There was a set fee for the appearance, regardless of the finanacial ability of the church.

Yet, they were never shown actually attending a church service (to my knowledge).

They both said that the worst day of their lives was when the DR told them that Kate was carrying 7 fetuses. (guess the RN didn't know that happens with fertility drugs). They then claimed that they cried (and more crying) and they prayed to God and He gave them the answer.

The 2 books that Kate hawks are published by a Christian company.

So, why didn't they send the kids to a Christian school? Did the kids attend Sunday School? I don't recall that being mentioned.

Now, Kate says they can't attend church services because they are too "famous". Maybe she could consult with the President and all the important people that are photographed going in/out of church. Didn't I read that her bodyguard/best friend/purse carrier, Steve used to protect politicians and big executives? He seems to be able to protect her at FAO Schwartz, he probably could get her into a little church somewhere.

But, of course, if Kate ever decided to go to a service, it would have to be the Vatican or St Patrick's in NYC. No more clapboard buildings and folding chairs for our Ms Kate.

Her hypocrisy has no boundaries.

Again, thanks for your terrific articles. I just watched a minute or two of the scheduled interview of Kate by Natalie M. It was on the Today Show. I cannot wait to read your review tomorrow! The snippit I saw was pitiful and not in a good way. Kate just comes across as a non-sympathetic character. Maybe we just know too much. I almost felt sorry for her in that I know how much people just make fun of her. It appears to me that she is becoming extremely afraid of "losing" her great life-style. I believe she is getting some bad advise, or maybe she isn't taking any good advise?

A look into the interview tonite - same old, same old, how can they claim this is "all new".......

NBC cross promotion is alive and well. The Today Show did some clips of the interview today (per a blog, I don't watch anymore)and Courtney Hazlett of MSNBC's The Scoop did a reported "source" bashing of Jon Gosselin in her post regarding the interview.

Z - Make sure to watch Kate's Story tonight while laying on your laundry room floor and have your plastic puke bucket handy, so as not to make a mess. If you don't have one already, apparently you can get them in Labor & Delivery at your local hospital.

HateKate, Irene, Sherry - The first time I ever posted on a board about the Gosselins (right before the divorce story broke), I was shocked at the response of the people supporting the Gosselins. I was basically told that I was not a Christian because a true Christian would donate money without caring how it was used. My post at the time wasn't even that strongly worded and I didn't say anything about being Christian, so I found this surprising, but I think that's how Kate's camp deflects blame. Also, it reminds me of the con artistis who seek out elderly widows. They know many of these woman will be too ashamed to come forward with the injustice done to them. Likewise, Kate Gosselin knows the Christian church congregations she scammed will be hesitant to expose the truth because of their belief in "turning the other cheek."

Finally, I read an article in the Gosselins' local PA paper and the reporter said he was the one who initially wrote about the baby items the Gosselins were asking for and directed people to their website to give gifts (at Kate's request). After the show took off, he tried to contact the Gosselins to do a follow-up story. He never could get in touch with Kate and was eventually told that because his paper did not pay for interviews, the Gosselins would not speak to him. Nice, huh??? I'll try to find the link again to post.

Oh my GOD.. and yes, I used that word.. GOD! Not to offend anyone, but if God can part the seas, why can't he shut the mouth of one stupid woman in PA?

Why oh why did I watch a clip from tonight's show? I just bit through the lip of my favorite ceramic mug as I watched!

Meredith Vierra and Morales sitting and discussing this "tough lady with tears right below the surface". Yes, they mean KATE! Morales says Kate is "brutally honest" in the interview. WHAT? Poor Kate apparently only has a tiny circle of trusted people. Awwwwwwwwww. It seems "people" come in her house and then leave and cash in talking about her. Awwwwwwww.

Meredith asked Morales if the show is over. Umm....Morales replies that right now it is "on hiatus" until things are worked out. Morales tells how Kate told her that the kids are "acting up" and becoming introverted. Awwwwww again, is this a surprise to millions of parents who divorced?

But, we all have heard Kate, in all her motherly wisdom , stand pat on her belief that the show has done nothing but allow opportunites to her kids. And, wouldn't all good parents be shoving their kids into public cameras as they go through the heartbreak of a disintegrating family?

So, Vierra and Morales and all the other supposed "journalists", keep interviewing this stupid woman. Save yourself some time and money and just email each other the questions and answers. Put your own spin on the question and offer it to the public as a "special".

In the 2 min clip I just watched, there was NOTHING new. Oh wait, Kate did offer that while growing up, she questioned her own mother on her decision to have 5 kids. (Kate has 4 siblings, I thought 2). And, then she chuckles as she tells Morales that her mother teased her about Kate having 8 kids. I guess that was when Kate gave birth to the 6, since to my knowledge, they haven't bothered with each other since then.

I loved the little clip of Kate and Morales walking along the street in CA, with cameras filming. its shown with a voiceover of Kate saying cameras are everwhere. Duh, Kate, do you think anyone believes that P People aren't contacted by you or your own "p people"?

I just came from Radar Online (ewwww) & viewed a clip from tonights "interview". In this clip, Kate is sobbing & talks about how few people she can trust. She also says, once again, that the claim that she is having or had an affair with her bodyguard Steve, is an outrageous lie put out to the media....by Jon. Now, how is Kate the high road taker & never speaks poorly of her husband in public if she is accusing him of this?? To my knowledge, there is NO proof out there that Jon started that rumor. In fact, IIRC, that rumor started from people in the blogging worlds/internet who were questioning why Kate & Steve seemed so close, always pictured together, how casual he looked on vacations when he was supposed to be "guarding" Kate,etc. That's our Kate!! Says one thing in one media outlet & hopes they don't check her previous stories before they ask her again...and so far, it's working!!

Oh Z, I hope you're preparing for tonight. Might I suggest some Pepto Bismol and a vomitous bucket? I have a feeling you're going to need it!!

The Today Show did a quick plug for Natalie Morales' interview of Kate. They also showed a couple of clips. Same old same old, if what they aired is indicative of the entire interview.

Kate is "strong", she keeps her emotions in check, its all for the kids, blah blah blah. I did not see anything that would tempt me to tune in. I've already watched Kate dab at her crocodile tears too many times. I won't waste an hour of my time for another rerun of boohoo poor me, my husband is an a$$.

Z....do you have any info concerning the legal battle that apparently is underway concerning the children being filmed in the future? This topic was alluded to in the nbc promo this morning.

I was under the impression from Jon saying that if ONE parent says 'no more filming' the show would be over. Is this not correct?

Do you think it would be possible for TLC to offer Jon a lucrative amount of $$ so he would allow future filming of the kids? It seems to me that TLC is trying to 'break' Jon, in order to get their way, so to speak. Their negative pr of Jon is making the man virtually unemployable...I hope Jon sues TLC for every penny they have!

Can some one please explain to me WHY this couple gets a free pass? Everyone knows they lied about being infertile..they didn't have to wait like other couples for treatment. They could not afford one child, so how could they afford the expensive fertility treatments to begin with? They had everyone else paying their bills. PA paid for the tups medical care. The twins received scholarship for private school.
With all these freebies, these parents were warmly embraced by their community, yet all that time were marketing their kids to pay for their existence. And no one called them on it. WHY?

Why does this couple get a free pass, yet the octomom is vilified? (she did the same thing as kate).
Is it because she is single?

I may be wrong, but I think part of why jon and kate were seen as models of parenting was because they were married, white, and christian.
Am I wrong?? If Kate had been single, she would have been blasted.

Hi Sherry T. Just watched a clip of tonight's sobfest on ROL. From what I could see, this is a huge ploy to garner sympathy for Kate. She has few friends, she can't trust anyone, she wakes up in the middle of the night wondering if she's doing the right thing. GAG Natalie said the children are showing signs of stress, are acting out, there are personality changes... yet Kate is still out there, doing her publicity grabbing stunts, leaving her poor children.

Someone mentioned Matt Lauer should do the interview. Had to laugh. How about a real hard hitting interviewer like John Stossel. HE never pulled punches. I don't even know if he's around anymore. Maybe he was too hard hitting. I really liked him.

You know what Kate Gosselin. I can admit when I am wrong. I have to do it all the time.

Kate, you were right. You have been an actress for the past 5 seasons. Please look up your new friend Kelly Ripa or better yet since TLC has all these connections with NBC get TLC to get you a gig on Days of Our Lives. Then you can work & provide that paycheck.

Like I said, why bother watching tonights recurring episode of "Kate Speaks", "Kate Unleashed" or "Kate Tells it All"?

It's like watching another showing of "It's a Wonderful Life". The plot, the lines, the characters are all the same in both shows, however, one is a classic and the other is a classic fraud.

Whenever a bell rings in one of these shows, an angel gets his wings. Whenever a bell rings on the other show, a few more dollars are added to the cash register.

Matt Lauer seems to have enough clout to have avoided this trainwreck, at least so far. Too bad his castmates keep drawing short straws. Frankly, at this point I'd think less of anyone who interviews kate, just for giving her airtime when I'm hoping she'll just fade away.

And to all of us questioning Kate's infertility claims, didn't Jon say he had a vasectomy after the tups were born? How common is that in cases of a truly infertile couple? Just guessing, I'd say NOT.

aggie mom - You make a very good point. Did you see the Dr. Phil with Kate Gosselin re: the Octomom? Kate had the nerve to state that it was different for her because she was married, even though at that time Jon was reportedly living in the garage and Kate had told him she wanted a divorce months earlier. Kate says whatever she thinks will for her that moment, with apparently little regard for what is truthful.

Dose of reality: not bragging, but I hope I'm a good person, feel it's most important to be kind to others and helpful to those less fortunate, don't lie. But my home is in foreclosure and I can't find a job in order to save it. I live in dread of having no home and I'm over 50 (thank you banks).

What upsets me is that this woman, abusive not only to her husband but many others around her, does seem to get everything she wants, and the media continues to throw money at her. Why? I don't get it. Why is a person like this rewarded while good people among us struggle and suffer?

We hear that life isn't fair; looks like it's true.

I hope tonight's show has an audience of 1 -Z. Ignoring the Gosselins is the first step in righting the wrongs that have been done to the children. Next, we need to push for national laws that protect ALL children from these "reality" shows. The documentary exception to child labor laws should cover ONE one-hour show in a 12-month period. Anything beyond that should require obeying child labor laws, plus regular outside review by a licensed professional to ensure the children are not being harmed. Any situation that requires unusual changes for a child, like swapping loony mothers for a week or living in a "kids' town" (remember that from a few years ago) should only be permitted if it passes the equivalent of the institutional review a university requires for a psychological experiments. With tough guidelines, most of these shows will be shut down for good.
Without stronger laws, how long will it be until the next wacko parent actually launches a kid in a balloon for PR?

Cathy, I rechecked that post on GWOP regarding Gloria Allred. She said that tongue-in-cheek. Someone asked her for verication, but she hasn't been back to reply. Nowhere on the internet have I seen anything to verify what she said. Gloria is Kevin's and Jodi's lawyer. They're working together on getting federal laws protecting children from being exploited on reality shows, etc. Gloria said hopefully soon we'd hear an announcement regarding laws put in place. Time will tell.

They have $300k+ in bills (even with insurance) yet they are the ones who know what true riches are.

BUT did Natalie come back and say, “Speaking of your mother, when did you last talk to her?" When Natalie could say, " Oh, it has been that long, why is that?"

I applaud this article: It’s refreshing to read something related to the Gosselin’s that’s actually newsworthy, meaning more than just the sensationalism of Jon and Kate, but TLC’s involvement & monetary interests in this family , as well as what the media has become.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. What upsets me the most about the Gosselins is that they have abused the kindness and generosity of others which could have been helping those less fortunate. And of course, when Kate talks about putting a roof over her children's head and food on the table, she's talking about a $1 million + home and her pricey organic food. It just drives home how ungrateful she is for things that she has never sacrificed to receive.

It also makes me wonder...does Kate know America is in a recession?

HateKate - That paper towel story is too much! To me, that is just such a selfish view of religion and the world in general. The fact that Kate repeats the story as a sign of her religious faith is also pretty unbelievable!

An organizer for the Detroit women's show, Alyssa Martina, wrote Kate an open letter after Kate made an appearance earlier this year. I guess in her speech, Kate tells a story about a family that needed financial help and Kate didn't know what to do and ended up giving something. Kate says she knows she made the right choice because she then received an anonymous gift card in the same amount. I included the link to the "open letter" below. (did not watch special) - but have a different angle for you Z.

I've been following what I perceive to be extremely media savvy viewers/readers/ bloggers, who I see as very intelligent, perceptive and armed with good 'ol fashioned common sense. That's the vast majority (ie: your readers, haha!) and they now see this whole J&K charade for what it really is - the ultimate exploitation of their children for financial gain. (the Heene family are amateurs compared to these people).

What I see from the remaining "fans" of the show are extremely illiterate, uneducated and maybe (based on their 24/7 postings on fan sites) unemployed.
(don't get mad people. i'm not talking about the occasional misspelling, but horrific illiteracy and it's painfully obvious.)

To me, this would NOT be the demographic the sponsors are going for, so what difference does it make what the ratings are?
If people with the real buying power are not watching and the so-called "millions" are by-and-large people who don't have two-cents to rub together while others are just there to gawk at the train wreck - then what is the motivation of the advertisers?
TLC can boast ratings all they want - but it has to translate into advertising revenue, right?
And what sponsor in their right mind is wasting tens-of-thousands of dollars on an audience that is NOT going to buy their products?
(I'm just guessing people who can't form a coherent sentence with one word spelled correctly are not booking their next vacation to the Hawaiian resort where Jon and Kate renewed their vows, or buying top-of-the-line Whirlpool appliances or dressing their kids in Gap clothes, or outfitting their homes in Lane furniture.....you get the idea).

I would like to see this angle addressed some time. I just don't see the benefit for TLC. They are losing viewers and real ad revenue - not gaining.

Oh I see - comments have to be "approved" by the blog owner - that's the real american way - what we don't like, we eliminate. Excellent.

I was amazed to find this blog, the tone of which is one of prevailing kindness as instituted by Z, its talented columnist. He has attracted a lovely crowd of wonderful writers.

A bit of background as to my interest in J&K: I watched the show for several yrs., on and off. It was interesting at first. Then I began to notice Kate's increasingly abusive behavior toward Jon. I was shocked and, finally, could no longer witness such cruelty so I stopped watching. Was that supposed to be entertainment, TLC?

I found GWOP and enjoyed it very much, and now your terrific site. I found others who felt as I did about this sham of a show. It's been great to have a forum in which to express my feelings about Jon's plight, since most of the media ignore it. Still don't understand that. Imo, Jon is a gentleman who has put up with an awful lot from this mean, bossy woman. He's a devoted and loving dad.

Why the media types don't ask her the hard questions about her behavior is beyond me. For instance, Jon appeared on Nancy Grace several wks. ago and NG was shockingly cruel to him. (That was the night I quit watching her show.) Kate, on the other hand, gets to sit and cry, and receives sympathy by the bucketful for fake tears.

Didn't bother watching the famed interview tonite. Can't anymore! Will she ever get her due? Enough of her being handled with kid gloves while Jon is further humiliated. What's the connection between NBC, TLC and others? What's behind their adoration of this arrogant woman?

I read of your column on GWOP. I am impressed to find a column that sees this sham for what it is. I have been following J&K+8 since season 1. What has been shown, in the early past, was comments from a church lady who described Kate's attitude about the remodeling on the E-house and the gifts her father's congregation. Imagine a free van, But Kate didn't like the color and they traded. Lordy be. What came across strongest was Nana Janet remarking, on film, how strange it was that the children didn't play "together." It was the episode where Nana Jane helped them build inside tents from blankets. Oh yes, Kate remarking that she did 3 loads of wash a day. I raised 5 sons and did more than that each day. I did not notice an industrial size washer.
Do Kate's supporters not notice the inconsistencies or are they in denial?

Natalie Morales has lost all credibility. The interview was a joke. It all came across as pre-approved questions with Morales shaking her head like one of those plastic dogs in the back of a car. She was clueless to ask any real questions or stop Kate's pity party. Kate only has to watch previous episodes to see why Jon ran away from her as fast as he could. What man would put up with this crap? I hope that Jon can keep the children off TV and teach them how to live normal lives. With Kate as their mother, they are doomed to misery.

Bottom line: They have been on a reality show since babies. that is there daily life. those people are their family. the minute Kate was going to speak and tell her side; Jon made sure he and girlfriend who didn't even want to be there with him in the room showed up on entertainment tonight. I just read the comment about the body guard being in the room for the interview. Is TLC or Kate that worried about her safety or does she just travel everywhere with the body guard?

Kate uses the cameras and it is great when they are filming her life, but then when the P-people get involved she blames the cameras on Jon. Is she forgetting that she helped start this with allowing her divorce to be part of the show. Jon has said he wanted out before the actual split. Kate is okay with cameras in interviews. She is okay with cameras as long as it benefits her.

Kate is a robot. Kate has no heart or soul. She is pretty on the outside, but ugly on the inside. She cares nothing about her family and it is all about Kate and how much money she can make off her innocent children. She had no time for the dogs, but would bring them back in a second if there was money tied to them. When her kids can no longer financially support her, she will toss them aside. That is a tough position to take. Modern medicine has been a blessing to some people, including me who would not have had children otherwise. I do agree though that Kate and Jon need to step up and be the parent's that God intends us all to be.

I watched the Natalie Morales interview...nothing was revealed that viewers of J&K+8 didn't already know. Kate is still playing the poor abandoned wife and single mother card. She is still unwilling to acknowledge that it was her controlling,emascualting treatment of Jon that drove him away.Therefore, she has really learned nothing from this experience, and is bound to repeat her mistakes. somewhere down the road. Jon, still unable to keep his mouth shut, puts his foot in every time he opens it. He has dug himself such a deep hole, I wonder if he'll ever see daylight! Hailey Glassman needs to understand that if you sleep with dogs, you have to expect to get fleas! As each Kate Special is worse than the one before, it is hard to believe that there is a chance that it can get worser. But, oh us of little faith, Kate never lets us down. The 'Viewers Favs' tomorrow will be the worstish yet. I find it hard to believe that they can come up with episodes that people can call favorites (oh, but if they take only a 1-2 second snippets, it may work after all). Natalie, like every other interviewer either didn't ASK the good questions, or if she accidently did ask one, she let kate do her own "did I blah, blah, blah?, No" or "would I yada yada, No" to every question. This 'GIRL' is the queen of diversion and actually, in her credit, see, she does have one thing she is capable of doing - diverting attention away from her bad areas (which is, well, everywhere). Why can't TLC see that the viewers are not relating or bonding to Kate and LET IT GO, END THE SHOW!

first, she has no business even thinking of dating or a serious relationship just days after her divorce is final as this would be really harmful to her kids and is not a good thing for her this soon either; second, who in his right mind would be interested in Ms High and Mighty Entitled to the World Gosselin with her kids; and last, why would a show of this type even be considered as something of interest to anyone. We have seen that she only cares for and about herself, not her kids, not Jon, not her marriage, so why would we want to watch the 'sequel'? Oh, and as far as my favorite episode, it hasn't been filmed yet, it will be the one where TLC says, "that is the end of Kate Gosselin in the entertainment world, she no longer has appeal for the viewers, so we are putting the nag out to pasture".
