I've watched several versions of Susan Boyle's full performance on YOUTUBE in the last three days. Her version of the song is haunting and I find myself humming it all the time now. I have been leaving/saving all my lovely comments on/for YOUTUBE!

BUT ... I'm also accountable to the pleasure in exposing the fraudulent Kate Gosselin. You have to realize she has been around a lot longer manipulating and infuriating people.

In less than 1 week, 25mil+ hit one version of Susan Boyle's taped performance on YOUTUBE .... give her more time to inspire!

For as unpopular as Kate is, she has her core audience -- which is not small. I'm not personally a fan, but the answer to your questions, I think, speaks to American tastes as viewers. I've all but stopped watching t.v. because it plays more and more to the lowest common denominator. We've stopped requiring our TV audiences to think and allowed them to become passive participants in other people's lives. Sad.

As to Susan, she has elevated the world to a place where few can take us. Perhaps it's more fun to delve into Kate's life because it's safer and less threatening. God forbid we should be inspired and allow it to take us somewhere unfamiliar.

With that said, she does have almost 30 million YouTube views in what -- six days? I'll be a large majority of that is Americans, and so as the other poster said, "give her more time to inspire"! I bet she'll eclipse 'ol Kate.

I decided to link your page on my Jon & Kate fan site. Although I had never heard of this woman up until your article, I don't know how these two women can even be compared. The only similartiy I see is that their rise to fame was both a quick one.

Jon & Kate have millions of fans and have been on TV for a while now. Kate has become a celebrity in her own right as an author of three books. With that come people that feel the need out of sheer jealousy to write horrible things about her simply because she is no longer relateable because of her wealth. The shows success suddenly wasn't about the adorable kids, but recaps on how date Kate berate her own husband. People seem to think that just because she is on TV, that he life can be judged and criticized just because someone feels that they could do better.

Susan Boyle is being priased for her beautiful voice and Kate is being berated because of her new found wealth and unrelateable fame. They couldnt be more different, but yet you question for the sake of publicity of your own blog..ohh why does Kate get more hits?? For the obvious reason that people love to snark and hate. Give Susan Boyle a makeover, a fancy car & a new house with a recording contract and watch the snakes hiss.

To encourage on your blog to "ohh please lets all SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT so we all know that you HATE Kate" is doing what every other hate site does, which is actually hand out the matches to watch the flame get higher. Kate Gosselin is a manipulative, narcissistic shrew who is pimping her children for her monetary gain. Can you say "child exploitation"? People say Nadya Suleman is going to exploit her children if cameras go into her home...guess what? She got the idea from Kate and Jon Gosselin.

Susan is real, has a heart and probably is a very nice person.

Kate is a greedy, entitled witch.

In response to an earlier comment, I would say that no one would begrudge Susan Boyle a makeover, a fancy car, or a new house, because she has done something, in a fashion, to earn it. What has Kate Gosselin done - give birth? If so, then every mother out there should have these things. And if having the number of kids has made her "earn" it - well, every Amish family living around me should have those things. They have MORE kids and generally less than a year between each.

I think if the Gosselins were more grateful rather than expressing entitlement, I wouldn't have a problem. But unfortunately past history of that family (such as the early legal issues of help, etc.) indicate that they think they deserve special attention. As comparison, I had no problems with the McCaugheys, for example. It was so evident that they were truly grateful for everything they were given. And they didn't ASK.

Maybe if Jon and Kate showed true appreciation, people might be more kind, but they don't. And even if they try now, it's just too late. Eventually it will come to an end and I'll be thankful.

I have watched Susan Boyle's video each day since first viewing it on Monday. Each time I watch her step onto the stage I think "Oh they are going to be so mean to her" until she begins to sing and stuns everyone. Why are we so suprised that an extraordinary voice comes from an ordinary package? I wish all the best for Ms. Boyle - whatever it is she truly wants (success, fame, money, or just to be appreciated and taken seriously).

As for Kate Gosselin, my personal jury is still out on her. I think the children are adorable, I do feel sorry for the husband (Jon) and perhaps I don't really like what I see in Kate. However, I am grateful that I'm not in her shoes at all.

Ms. Boyle has character and integrity, and is clearly a caring, loving and attentive woman, as

On the other hand, Kate Gosselin wouldn't (and didn't) forego traveling w/Jon to CA for FREE hairplugs, when all of her kids were sick as dogs. She opted instead to pawn them off on her brother and wife, and relegate her sick son to the laundry room floor! Kate doesn't know the meaning of character and integrity. Nope, no comparison whatsoever! Totally unfair!

Susan is a rare person - talented but humble and very comfortable with herself. It is hard not to like what I've seen of her - she's utterly charming.

Kate is someone people love to hate - fair or unfair. I'm paraphrasing, but the head of TLC recently said these family shows have to have two things - cute kids and conflict. Kate is volatile and you never know what's coming next and that keeps it interesting. When she's edgy and sharp, we all feel better about ourselves.

I think Kate and Susan are like two different vehicles - one is a comfortable luxury model that handles well and the other is a sports model with touchy brakes and steering that can go out of control at any moment.

The reason that Kate gets more hits is because there is a core of people who find her detestable and a poor example and they are using the blogs to make that matter known. Many of us have been contacting advertisers and TLC letting them know what a poor example of mothering she shows and that we are boycotting their products.

The only thing Kate is an example for is being a greedy shrew who pimps her children for income so that she and her lazy, spineless husband don't have to work. Kate is the model for octomom's detestable behavior and Kate will continue to give unbalanced, lazy women the idea of having a mega birth so that they will get freebies unless the show is taken off the air.

I would have to hear Kate Gosselin sing before I could really compare them, but I have a feeling that Susan would win. She has real talent and we are still waiting to see what Kate Gosselin's talent is.

Susan is humble and seems to remain humble even though she is thrust into the spotlight.
Kate has never been humble. before the 6 were born, they had a website set up and were looking for donations. Kate took over 100k in welfare and was still asking for more welfare when her kids were healthy and both her and Jon had employable skills but choose not to work. Now Kate gets more freebies then anyone, gymboree and ann taylor clothing, trips, box seats and more. She seems to want more and more and is so ungrateful. Anyone who watched the going green show can't deny how ungrateful she was and how poorly she treated Steve.

Now that her 25k church appearances are running dry, she is started up a new money maker. Tea with Kate $150 in Detriot! Does she ever give back (and don't say the episode she visited a kids hospital and gave away free copies of her book)? Now that she owns a 1.3 million dollar home , should she not try to give back to the state of PA for all the welfare? or be the stay at home mom she claims in her story and show (when she is gone 20+ days a month ).

I would love to see less of kate and more of Susan anyday.

One reason you might get more Kate comments is that some message boards have been taken down, like tlc and discovery(without reason, when other shows like big people little world and table for 12 have active boards?) and people have to search to find a place to post.

... I wish they would cancel the show. I’m so tired of week after week of freebies and special treatment. Kate is no way a ‘supermom’…she has ‘helpers’, beats up Jon mentally, doesn’t allow her children to have freedom of creativity and individuality. She chose the colors they could paint with—just because they were for the basement so therefore they had to match—gag me please. They always have to dress in matching clothes—that screams ‘look at us, we have multiple children!’. Weeks from turning 5, they still wear bibs and are still sitting in modified highchairs. They still speak like toddlers. When they were living at the old house, she had three people doing her laundry. One to fold, one to iron and one to put them away. The first thing she told Jon when Joel got sick was ‘we have no more comforters’; not ‘Joel got the flu too’ after she had left him on the laundry room floor with the door closed. Her laundry took precedential over taking care of sick children, all because it would have meant taking longer than usual to do laundry. Um, once or twice a year wouldn’t kill her to fall behind with laundry. This happens to all parents, even me. I am up at night doing extra laundry. And I’m a single parent. Do I complain and whine about it. No. Jon is more hand-on parent and will let them have fun when he has his way (Kate’s way---no scooping down the hill or rolling in the grass—image the grass stains, not even one roll, now that is horrendous horrendously); he is the one who gets up with the twins and get them ready for school. She used to say she would not get up until 8 am. Right, with the toddlers screaming and crying behind her closed door (they showed it on an episode). Jon is the one who wipes their butts. She could not be bothered with that. She says ‘I’m exhausted’ every 5 minutes. She even said that after explaining to Mady and Cara about the rules for fireworks. She is exhausted from a conversation? Is that for drama effect? I don’t recall her ever saying she loves her children or Jon. She just loves what she is doing; the traveling and the freebies she gets. All he family do is cause chaos, disorganization and exhaustion for her which ‘stresses’ her out. Gag.

How is traveling to A, speaking for 30 minutes & signing books for an hour and flying to B or home called work? Talking is work? Flying first class is work? No church activities? She doesn’t preach/discuss about her Christian beliefs or talk about the bible; she always tells the same story over and over at every event. She charges $150 for a tea party. F* $150, that should be going to charity.

Kate shopped around for someone on the media network and had the twins make an audition tape. They are always begging for stuff on their show. They claim they are for the purpose of ‘making memories’. The free trips and free clothing are part of making memories? She didn’t even bother to watch her younger children ski for the first time; instead she wanted to be at the spa. They will do it as long as it costs them nothing. All they have to do is say ‘we don’t have this, we don’t have anything to sit, we need this, we want to do this.’, then proof, their wishes are fulfilled. Do them on your dime! Jon’s hair plugs weren’t necessary---there was really nothing wrong with his hair; it were just a peak of being a reality TV star and he got an all-paid expense trip to LA. There was no reason to get hair plugs until someone ‘donated’ the services. Kate tried to get one more free surgery out of her tummy tuck. Now that is just ridiculous. They don’t have to save up money for trips and major purchases like the majority of us do because their expenses are paid by TLC, Film 8 and the fans. She is selling pictures of her children in order to make more cash. I wouldn’t buy pictures of someone else’s children. She claims they are for college funds. BUT THE STATE OF PA ALREADY GAVE THEM COLLEGE FUNDS. They were established when the sextuplets were born. It’s called TAP accounts, I believe. They are basically lying about the reason for selling pictures at $20 each. Cash only. That’s disturbing. The children were filmed naked when they were younger. Would one of these fans allow her children to be filmed like that? Bathing naked? Sitting on the potty with pants down? There is a reason why I do not sign the waiver form from school because I do not want my child to be photographed. Would they want to have their children’s bodily functions and ‘obnoxious’ choices be discussed on national TV? I didn’t think so.

Kate Gosselin is about the freebies, cash. She is no example of what a good mother does.
