Are you ready for some political football? I'll be there

From the "Weekend Update" desk on Saturday Night Live, to halftime at Monday Night Football, the presidential candidates will take any TV forum they can find to try and get their message out.

Tonight, on the eve of America going to the polls, both John McCain and Barack Obama will be heard during halftime of Monday Night Football in interviews taped today.

I'll be writing about the interviews afterward on this blog. So, after the game, tune in here.

I am nineteen years old..and I am looking to my future and see that if we choose someone who wants to bring socialism into this country then all that I work for now is useless. Why should I waste my time going to school to get a career that will allow me to make money, if I am just going to be taxed so much that you wouldn't even know it. I refuse to work hard all my life just to have my money, what I worked so hard for, be divied up among those relying on welfare and refusing to work because they know they can just suck on the money teat that is Obama. I work hard now and I'm not making over 200,000, but if someday I do get to that point, I want to be able to know that I will get to see my hard work reflected in what I make and not have to pay out to those who do not deserve it! They do not work for it, so why should I have to. However harsh that may sound, I doubt that many people would like their money going to those who do not work for it.

McCain offers a stronger voice. I believe that he will be able to lead America in the right direction. He will give us the protection that we need, rather than the ninny-nanny that Obama promises. I know that we all hate war, and would much rather have the billions of dollars spent in Iraq put to use here in America. But think about it. What if we wouldn't have taken a stance against terrorism? Do you really think that these terrorists would have stood down? NO! We would have continued to be beaten until these terrorists could prove that America is not as strong as they always thought we were. I would rather have my protection than those who band with terrorists. Instead of putting down this war, and in the process destroying the unity in America and all the honor of those who are or have fought for you, and died for YOU, remember that it was necessary. For your protection. Stop putting down America on every chance, it just allows other countries to see our weak spots and try to defeat the strength in America.

Yes, gas prices raised while Bush was in office, but look at them now..everyone has a part of their life that they need to get through, and we all did. It was hard and I know we all hated it, but all bad things eventually end.

Bush is our President, and even through his faults, putting him down is just allowing other countries to put him down, to put America down. I refuse to let that happen. Stand up for your country and be proud of it!

McCain may have voted with Bush 90% of the time, or whatever load the press wants to put out there..but are you all really doing that horribly? Bush has done a better job than anyone put in his situation could have done. McCain will be able to change the things that need to be changed, but keep our country safe. He has the experience. He has the strength. He has my vote.

So get out there. Vote! Your country is relying on you. Make the choice that you believe in.

Well spoken. It is a shame and a disaster for this country that more people do not feel this way and voted yesterday without fully understanding, or believing, where this is all going to lead us.
