'Dancing With the Stars' results: Who goes home?

Guest blogger Carla here, recapping for Sarah, who is recapping "So You Think You Can Dance."

And then there were four ... who will be narrowed down to three. But first, the judges want to see Mya and Dmitry Chaplin's salsa from last night. Judge Len Goodman wants to see her "tutti frutti booty"? Really? I was "Gossip Girl"ing last night and missed this. (P.S. My dad -- Hi Dad! -- is rooting for Mya.)

Next up is a recap of last night's performances, followed by some results ... oh, wait, no. We're going to have to wait a bit longer.

Now for a time suck: The dancers talk about the other dancers' strengths. Whatever happens, they will be happy! It has been the times of their lives! (Pick another cheesy competition cliche and insert here: It was probably said.)

We're now treated to a dance performance of "The Be Italian" from the Weinstein Co.'s coming film "Nine." And after the commercial break, Alicia Keys! She's pretty phenomenal. I don't think I'll fast-forward through this one.

Next, there's a segment on pressure, which is basically the dancers lip-synching Queen's "Under Pressure." Really? Really? After that train wreck, we learn that Mya and Dmitry Chaplin are in the finals. No surprise there. I think they'll win it all.

Leona Lewis, clad in a fabulous white dress, follows with a song that is not "Bleeding Love." She's all right. But you know what is better? That Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson are in the finals. And that "jilted Bachelorette" Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovoloni, who placed third on the show last spring, are performing a hustle as the Bee Gees sing "You Should Be Dancing." That wasn't sarcasm. I really liked Melissa last season, and who doesn't like disco? (OK, the disco part was sarcasm.) It's kind of a shame that she dances after the pros, though, because they are much better. She and Tony, however, do a fabulous lift at the end.

(Side note: Samantha Harris? Bad host or worst host ever?)

There's now a segment about putting together the pro numbers. It's compared to a kindergarten full of dancers with lots of different ideas, all of who bicker about the choreography during a short amount of time.

Two couple are left. Judge Len Goodman says Kelly Osbourne has taken dancing into her heart and that Joanna Krupa has been the most consistent. Surprisingly, Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough are out. Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel are in.

Joanna and Derek get to do a real final dance.

What do you think? I'm expecting a lot of disagreement!

This is so not fair. Donny should be out, he's in because he is a real celebrity. I think the judges, esp. Carrie Ann, showed a lot of favoritism for Donny and Kelly.

I will not watch this show again.

This is so wrong. Donny should have been the one to go.

I can't believe Kelly Osbourne is still around. She is this season's Ty Murray! Hopefully like Ty, she will have no shot at winning.

The song is "Be Italian" and it's fabulous!

Thanks! I will fix that above! -- CC

What I would have thought Kelly would be out. I love to see Derek dance. Will miss him in the finals. Thanks for the recap I miss it tonigh, got in late.

who is corrupt here. what counts? best dancing or well known names. joanna krupa & derek hough should be in the finals.

I... think it's a mistake that I accidentally stumbled upon this blog to read the results. Guest blogger? Are you a real writer or journalist? If yes, that's kinda sad.

Hi, thanks for commenting. I don't watch this show regularly, nor do I particularly like it. I fill in for my colleague and must recap the results live -- ASAP. It's not a reported story, nor is it a critique, nor is it meant to be taken seriously. It's all in fun, and it's meant to quickly tell people who is safe in a few short graphs. And let's face it: The actual contents of the results show are hardly "newsworthy." Please let us know what you'd like to see here! -- CC

Unbelievabl and just WRONG that
Kelly is in and Joanna is out

What a SHAM! Kelly is not half the dancer that Joanna is.

This was a TOTAL farce! I can't believe that Joanna/Derek were LEGITIMATELY voted off.... I think Ozzie called in some favors or did some paying off. Although it is very nice to see Kelly mature from a spoiled, priviledged child into a performer in her own right without hanging on to mom and dad's notoriety, Joanna is clearly the superior dancer,in WHATEVER genre she performed.....this has been the only reality show that I've ever watched, but these results have turned me off to the reality genre....I doubt if I watch the show in coming seasons.

I do not know why, but I would like to see Kelly win.

Dang! I LOVE watching Derek's choreography! I'm bummed. I hate to say it since she is such a sweet girl but I don't think Kelly has what it takes to be in the finale. Mya will take it all, in my opinion. =)

I couldn't be happier with the final three. We all know Mya is the best dancer, but Kelly is the most improved and Donny is just Donny. Way to go fans!

The finalists may be the one's that the public would like to see win, but in no way are they the better dancers. The best dancers were kicked off. I'm through watching.

I think Donny should be out. I hate his cheesy cheap smile.

I cannot believe that Donny was not kicked off. This is so unfair and the voting public really needs to judge based on dancing not personality. Personally I think that Donny is a phony~all smiles and giggles!!!

I'm quite happy with the results I couldn't stand to see Joanna suck her teeth another week. she's too pretty for that bad habit. Go Donny

I am so glad Joanna is out, she rubs me the wrong way for some reason, and I've always related to Kelly, so I'm happy with the way it turned out. Joanna is a great dancer, but reallity shows really aren't about the reality of it all, it's about the performance, and Kelly is a tear jerker, their demographic is women, go figure, Kelly in, Joanna out. Nice job fans! I'm excited! I hope Kelly takes it all, but I'm sure it will be Mya!

Happy with the results! Kelley has improved so much in all aspects! Way to go girl! Mya is awesome & Donny is good scenery!!!!!! This is one of my favorite shows!!!!

Okay, I voted for Donny just because he's Donny and I didn't really think he'd make it in. Joanna is a better dancer than Kelly. Mya SHOULD win, but does anybody really know who she is? Sad, but that is what this competition is really about.

I stayed up late to listen to the BeeGees do disco? what a doggone waste! But I'm glad Kelly is in the final. I love what this has done for her.

I am proud of Kelly, she has improved so much. I hope she goes all the way.
Donny is a fantastic showman and he really has worked to be where he is. It will be a difficult decision.

First, let's remember that this IS Dancing with the Stars, not Dancing with the unknowns. The STARS have shown great improvement. I don't normally watch I hate reality tv, however, my daughter made me start watching it last season. somethng that I have noticed this season, anything is possible. Some of the better dancers (Marc d) have been voted off, even with high scores. I am surprised Johanna lasted this long, she's an unknown (just as I am glad that Melissa didn't win, others have been dumped by men and not been asked to dance...who cares). The STARS are on and a STAR should win. Although, Mya is a beautiful dancer, I, personally, don't care for her, but that doesn't mean she doesn't belong in the finals. Kelly has shown great determination and improvement. Donny...need I say more...he's a show biz great, can admit his mistakes, and performs for the audience. Donny knows how to work the crowd and has been doing it for many, many years. These are our stars so watch and vote.

I never right in these blogs but was so surprised by all of the negativity. I also was shocked that Joanna and Derek were voted off but guess who voted them off... YOU!!! The judtes had them rated higher but sometimes entertainment is more than talent it's also a passion and a connection with the audience.

What a joke! I will not watch this show again! Joanna is 100 times better than Kelly O!
just wrong and sad and just because she's more well known I agree as well there has been lots of favoritism and sympathy from the judges for Kelly and Donny
UNREAL

Donny should have been bumped a long time ago. I think it's fan votes of the older crowd keeping him in (and I say that even though I'm one of the older crowd). He may be a night club type personality, but he isn't in the same league as the others as a dancer.

Okay, seriously people, it's a show. And who ever actually thinks people are going to be voted on passed on talent obviously hasn't watched any reality show of this sort in the past. Personally I like Kelly and agree with Gramma that she is the most improved. Mya is an awesome dancer so of course she is in. I also love Donny just for the mere fact that he is Donny, and he is entertaining to watch. True, Joanna was a great dancer, but I found her boring to watch.

Are you kidding me Carrie Ann has been on Donny Osmonds a** every week, " oh I noticeda slight mistake, Your not performing up to where you should be" every week she has taken points off and whoever said they show favortism, he had the lowest scores Monday night on all three dances he was 4 points behind everyone The AMerican Public voted him in not the Judges. DOnny is the most entertaining dancer, Dereks choreography has become boring same moves week after week after week and Joanna was a bore stiff as a board every week with Derek doing all the work.
Bruno is at least entertaing but how many more times is Carrie Ann going to stand up with her arms in the air and go wooo hoooooo what a boring drag she is

Last night proved once again that "So you Think you can Dance" is much more fair. Donny should have been out and joanna should have been in the finals as she is way better. The judges favored Mya but i think Joanna was almost as good and has a better personality. I hope Kelly wins

Let's face it, Donny is in because everyone of his relatives voted for him. Possibly the entire state of Utah, and all the other Mormons in the USA. He was the only one who noticeably stumbled Monday night.

Kelly is the dark horse choice. They love to love her because she's been through rehab 12 times. Keeping her in is like a vote for reaffirmation. One of those two should have gone home.

Derrick is cute as he can be, and is also extremely talented. He taught Joanna some moves she did not know existed. I sort of felt Joanna and Mya would make it to the end. Possibly with Donny as well. Kelly was NEVER a possibility. At least not in the serious sense. I think Donny was Carrie Ann's choice, Mya was
Bruno's choice, and Kelly obviously was Len's.
Donny gives the impression that he expects to win, not really too humble, that one.

Sadly, Dancing with the stars is starting
to be like American Idol.
The best dancers this year were
Joanna, Mya and Aaron.
Kelly is sweet, has lots of heart but
not so much with her dancing.
Donny is Donny, Mr. Personality & showman, his dancing is good but
not for the final three.
This is what happens when you leave
the results up to the American public.
The best dancer might not win.
They should change the name of the show to: Who's your favorite dancer.

I don't think I'll follow the show next season.

D

It's all about the fan base, and if you are disappointed in the results, you should have corralled all your friends into voting for your favorite multiple times. Evidently Donny and Kelly have more fans than Joanna.

Mya fans should not be complacent, however. She is clearly the best, but I remember when Stacy Keebler (who was the best dancer in her season) did not get the votes she needed to win it all, because everyone assumed she would win.

I used to love this show because I love ballroom dancing. But the last couple of years have become a popularity contest rather than a dance contest, and the better dancers get eliminated in favor of the popular contestants. Ugh. Reminds me of high school!

Joanna is definitely the better dancer, but come on, you know these shows are based on viewer votes! Think back to a season where 'Emmett Smith' (not sure of the name) the football player won the title. You know he won by the viewer vote. That's just the way it is when the viewer has the final say. Also, Joanna's Playboy pictures probably hurt her in the viewer votes, and Kelly's childhood story helped her. That's my opinion!

Derek and Joanna were the only dancers who could compete with Mya and her partner. Joanna made the show worth watching. She was much better performer than Kelly ; Joanna should keep her head high, she is super star ! I will not watch the finals, I dislike PREJUDICE!!!!!!!!

This is a personality contest as well as a dancing contest. Kelly and Donny just had more fans voting for them. The judges had the scoring right. Too bad it's not up to the judges alone. But then it would be just a dance competition.
I am very disappointed that Joanna was not voted into the finals. Looks like Donny's huge family and Kelly's "celebrity status" family have more clout. Personally, I had never heard of Joanna prior to this show. She is far superior to either of the other two.

Are you watching the same show I am???? Kelly is a terrible dancer.

Donny is the best and people should accept him for being the best. I am like so proud of him. You go Donny.

I'm thrilled with the results, with the exception that I prefer Joanna to Mya. Up until about 2 weeks ago, Mya didn't have any personality. I'm not a member of Donny's family, I don't live in Utah, and I'm not a Mormon which some of you suggest is the only reason he's in the finale and I voted for him - multiple times. I absolutely adore Donny - he's fun to watch and too cute. I also don't believe he thinks he should win. He is a very humble person and anyone who's met him can see that. After all these years as an entertainer, he still loves his fans. We all have our favorites (not necessarily the best dancer) and that's what this show is all about.

Joanna is the biggest joke I have seen yet. I think she has made it this far because she is a pron star. She doesn't know how to move her hips and she never extends out her move and then she stands there waiting for the next step. I don't know what the judges see in her other than her breast implants. I am all for beautiful women to do well but what does she look like without makeup on??? There is just something about her that gives me an uneasy feeling. Why do we need to know that she posed in Playboy and who cares what advice Huge had to give us? I don't listen to men that have concubines!!! She didn't deserve to be in the finals and I am glad society saw the same. May the best person win!

DWTS suck's. No more for me. Eliminating Joanna was the last straw,

Hmm. What's going on with some of these comments? Mya is a beautiful dancer but doesn't deserve to win because (insert lame excuse here)...Kelly should win because although she can't dance, she is most improved (because this is a dance improvement contest?)...Donny should win despite his inability to perform despite almost half a century of training because he feels entitled? Get real folks, vote for your favorites but stop making excuses for their lack of ability which is what this show is about.

How do we vote Samantha off the show?

The only way to stop the hagglin over 'who is best' would be to have "only" the Judges vote. Forget the Public,..their vote's are alway's based on sentiment, popularity, etc. This is not what the program is supposed to be about. It's (in case you forgot, folk's) supposed to be about dancing ability and improvement as the program progresses.
Soooo,..unless this ever happen's many will suffer discontent with the way thing's turn out. By the way,..Joanna cleary belonged in the final's.

What is wrong with the voting public??!!? Joanna & Derek SO DESERVED to be in the finals. I have been a devoted fan of DWTS since its beginning, but the elimination of this couple has me doubting my support of this show. Grow up, Voters!! This is not a popularity contest! Vote accordingly!!!!

What a joke again this year. Fan votes should not have so much weight. This should be about the best dancers not the most popular. No doubt Osmond will win and that would be such a travesty. I said after last year I wouldn't watch it again and here I am again. This will be the last time I watch for sure.

I would like to see ALL dancers compete for the full 10 weeks.. Then award 3 trophies
1.) Best dnacer
2.) Most improved dancer
3.) Viewer most popular dancer
Let's face it the shows popularity relies on public opinion - so keep it but let the best dancer get a trophy based on professional judges.

Come on now, the show isn't just about who the judges like, it's about who the public likes and if the public likes Donny Osmond the so be it.
We all have a chance to vote for our favorites and if yours doesn't happen to be as popular as mine, well that's life!

I love "Dancing" because I love ballroom. But, I think Kelly dances like a stick. She should never be in the finals. At this point, it is not a dancing contest, but rather a popularity contest. That's too sad, because Mya is definitely the better dancer and she may not win if she doesn't have people all over the US call in for her.

Dancing with the Stars is about dancing with the Stars!!!Watching people grow and learn as they entertain us is what the show is about. That is why most often the Mirror Ball Trophy goes to the Star that the public has learned to appreciate their effort and hard work over the weeks of practice and preforming. Someone who is already a dancer (Mya) and has not shown any growth or movement outside her comfort zone is a lot less entertaining than Kelly, who has clearly changed or Donny who is always working to improve (and he is a lot older) and try what the judges suggest. If you want to watch the best dancers then tune in to So you Think you Can Dance which is a dance competition with everyone being a dancer to begin with. People who say they will no longer watch the show because their favorite got voted off do not get the point of the show.It is not the best dancer that the audience is voting for but the entertainers and most improved and underdogs. One only has to watch the history of the show to see that atheletes often win because dancing is not what they normally excell at. Hey and Ty was amazing for a bull riding cowboy!!! Talk about coming out of his comfort zone.....people appreciate real entertainment unless they are whining like a lot of people on here about the "best dancer" (in who's opinion????Who made you such a judge of dancing anyway???) Lighten up or don't bother to watch.....you won't be missed!!

By the way, Carla, that should be "tutti frutti" booty.

Yes, I thought that! Tx! -- CC

Did anyone else notice the see-thru spot my partner and I spotted on Samantha Harris dress (left breast)???

Let's get real,...this "ain't" about dancing,..it never was. It is, and alway's has been, about "who" they are and their popularity, sentiment, exposure to the public, etc. The terminology "Dancing" is a misnomer - rather, it's a huge joke. Public voting is also a joke,..... Being a dance instructor for many year's I can tell you,..."Public" choice isn't about dancing ability.

M - my boyfriend saw what you saw. I missed it and she wouldn't stand still long enough for me to confirm he was correct.
