'Big Brother': Does Russell have a chance?

On last night's Big Brother, Jeff won the veto, removed Kevin from the block and replaced him with Russell. Hello, backdoor!

Jeff also acted like a total jerkface (I'm stealing that one from my awesome Top Chef guest bloggers), snapping at Jordan and messing with Michele during the veto competition. There was some surprise at my declaration on Sunday that I'm rooting for Kevin, but after seeing Jeff's actions last night, I'm even more in Kevin's corner. And Jordan's, too, though I wish she were playing a little more.

So Russell is probably out, right? Jeff has to make his move now because he is toast if Russell stays in the game. Any chance Natalie the pawn ends up leaving tomorrow? What do you think?

Up until last night, I thought that maybe Jeff had a brain. Ummmm ... apparently not. Setting up Russell for a backdoor move? Wow ... and who do you suppose will be out at the next opportunity after that? He had a shot at being final two, but now even if he gets there I think the jury will vote against him because of terminal stupidity! Go Michelle. Natalie and Kevin have made some pretty good moves, especially in convincing the not so bright HOH and partner of a conspiracy theory, but I just can't warm up to Natalie. Don't think she'll hesitate to throw Kevin to the wolves. Future will be interesting, especially if Michelle can win the HOH.

Jeff has more of a chance to win with Russell in the house. If Russell goes home and either natalie or kevin ends up in the top two the jury house votes against him are four- Jessie Lydia Russell and either kevin or natalie and that's if he even makes it to the top two. No matter who goes this week everyone is now after jeff. He made a stupid stupid move, thinking short term. Keeping Russell around may mean Russell nominates jeff but at least that's only one against him not two .he'd better hope Jordan wins next week if he wants a chance. And stop being a jerk! I know I'm not counting michelle but I think when the ball drops even if michelle doesn't love what jeff and jordan have planned, she's not going to lose them, and keep natalie and kevin. Then she loses in jury votes too.

Sadly, there is no chance of Russell remaining in the house. Big Brother was worth watching especially because he was on it. Now, what am I supposed to drool over, slop?

I think Russell is toast. I think Jeff will be out the door next week to the Jury House. On the other hand, expect the unexpected. We have already seen several "staged" fights this year that look real, but if you follow the 24/7 feeds. You see them joking about it afterwards. You also have to be careful, what the producers edit and show you on the ABC version of the show is not what you see on BBAD. It can paint a different perspective on things.

What they failed to show (if you watch After Dark on Showtime you would have seen it) is that when Jeff was snapping at Jordon, 30 seconds later they were joking about it and playing Go Fish. He does get frustrated with her because she's basically riding his coattails to the finals and whenever some dirty work has to be done, he's the one doing it. I can understand his position. They definitely cut the tape to how they want to portray someone...

SKK: I just can't keep up with BBAD and/or live feeds, too. But it seems silly for the producers to edit stuff like that when there are plenty of people seeing more of the story.

3 hours a night of BBAD is allot of viewing time to watch, especially at Midnight to 3 AM. All I can say is, thank gawd for the DVR and the ability to fast forward through the dull stuff.

I say; it's going to be the typical ride in on the coattails winner; that we've seen over and over on survivor. The one who really plays the game well doesn't win. The one who keeps friends and hides from the radar wins. Jeff is out. He'll just get everyone fire up in the jury house.
