'So You Think You Can Dance' starts tomorrow

Let's be frank: Each season, I basically get through Dancing With the Stars instead of particularly enjoying it.

When it comes to reality-TV dance shows, the best, as far as I am concerned, is So You Think You Can Dance. I love seeing people who do have a dance background challenge themselves in new situations, and it's got a more modern edge than DWTS. (Particularly since they use artists' original musical tracks instead of interpretations by the same band for every performance.)

Any other fans out there? What's your favorite SYTYCD moment?

One of my favorite performances ever was Neil and Sabra's jazz dance to "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," which was choreographed by Mandy Moore. I can't count how many times I've watched it.

I'm so so excited! Talent wise it is by FAR the best dance show on tv. my fave moment(s) anya. (loved anya!) also sabra and neil's jazz piece, katee and will pas de deux (perfection). So many more too... this show makes me cry... and makes me miss my ballerina days.

So hard to pick just one, but I'll never forget the first time I saw them open the show with Wade Robson's zombie dance routine to Roisin Murphy's Rama Lama Bang Bang in Season 2. These days we're so used to his weird stuff it's almost boring, but at the time it blew my freaking mind.

The pas de deux by KATEE SHEAN and WILL WINGFIELD last year ... gorgeous choreography set on two truly talented dancers that was good enough to appear in any company's repertoire. I also loved Chelsea's number to "Bleeding Love" and Katee's set to "Mercy." Overall, a LOT of strong dances last year - can't wait to see what this year brings!

And, even though I now actually compete in Latin ballroom myself, I agree on DWTS - the reality is us amateur ballroom dancers just are usually not that fun to watch (Gilles excepted!) especially compared to trained pros.

I am just launching a Reality TV Stock Exchange. The general idea being that you can buy and sell shares of contestants from multiple Reality TV Shows. http://rtvse.com
