'Celebrity Apprentice': And the final two are ...

... totally contrived. Annie Duke and Joan Rivers are the Celebrity: Apprentice Top 2? Really? Joan Rivers who walked off set last week?

You know the only reason she is back and in the finals is because they think having the two people who hate each other the most square off will cause the most drama. And it probably will cause drama, but will it be watchable? I guess we'll see next week during the (ugh) three-hour finale.

I really think Jesse James should have been in the final two. I don't care that he didn't force his wife's Hollywood friends to give money during the fund-raisers; I just think he's really capable and interesting and hard-working. I'm down with low-key (last week's rant at Clint Black excepted).

I'm just really afraid that Annie Duke is going to win, and then her head might straight-up explode with self-importance. Did you see how excited she was about beating Clint in the jingle-writing competition? I mean, she deserved to be happy, but she would not get over it, and she would not give anyone any credit. (Like, say, the MUSICIAN who worked it out with her. Grr.)

This has been a really annoying season, but we're this close to the end, so I guess I will stick it out.

What did you think about the episode?

I have been loving it. I only watch CA for Jesse and Joan. I was hoping Jesse would have been one of the final 2 but Trump is all about the money and the drama - and this is 'good TV' so what can you expect.

....I really liked Jesse James until it was brought up that he did not use deodorant. Whatz up with that !?

They really need to go back to real people on this show. Watching people who are semi-famous call their more famous friends to dontate money is dumb. Put the people who really want to work for Trump back on the show.

I would just like to add - don't you think alot of what is going on on CA is scripted ? IMO I think alot of it is edited out. IMO I think Joan and Melissa where acting up for the camera. During an interview with Melissa regarding the blow-up Melissa looked like she wanted to laugh. Melissa referred to CA as 'good television'. It is a soap-opera for goodness sake.

During the replays of last weeks show they described Joan as 'the geriatric comedian' as she was hunch over shuffling across the floor and a portion of Melissa's meltdown. I can't stop laughing as I am thinking about it now.

AND I guess everyone was totally off guard - just surprised that Joan got off the elevator just as they where meeting to hear about their new assignments

Besides Amorosa - has CA seen so much bad behavior ?

Hi Sarah,

If we were going to be really serious, none of the three besides Annie really deserved to be in the finals, from a competitive standpoint. Brandy drew some money in, but beyond that did Annie's bidding for the most part. Jesse was a harder worker (he reminded me a lot of Trace Adkins in likability and work ethic), but didn't draw a dime. And Joan is... well, Joan. That being said, from a personality standpoint, I found myself wanting Jesse in the finals.

My guess is that they didn't want the same dynamic that was in place in the previous Celebrity Apprentice (Big mean Piers vs The working man Trace).

Why, oh why did Hershel Walker make such a crappy meal?

From the very first episodes it was clear that Annie was going to come out ahead. She also ticked off several people right off the bat. With Athena's string of wins, she had immunity, but I don't understand why, later on, some of the others (Natalie, Melissa) didn't team up and try to get her fired. She was their strongest opponent, and they would have fared better in the long run without her, eventhough as a team member she was helping the team win (against a weak Team KOTU, nonetheless!!).

I really would have liked to have seen Annie go toe to toe against Jesse. I think he was holding back, and would have unleashed against her. Although, I can understand that Trump was unsure if Jesse had it in him, since Jesse really didn't show any "killer instinct" during the season.

I agree with the 2nd comment, let's go back to people that want a job with Trump. The "firing" of a celebrity is kind of pointless.
