'Dancing With the Stars' results: Who is eliminated?

I joined tonight's Dancing With the Stars already in progress. So ... some stuff happened at the beginning, but I missed it. It's OK. We're only here for the results anyway.

First, Robin Thicke performs.

Backstage, Samantha Harris interviews Melissa Rycroft about her injury. She says she's started a new treatment and is hopeful that she can dance next week. Samantha oh-so-deftly says that Melissa was at the bottom of the leaderboard, but right over here she has Lil Kim, who was at the top. Not at all awkward!

Results! Lil Kim and Derek Hough are safe. After some other segments ... more results: Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower are safe, too.

Robin sings again, and Pasha from So You Think You Can Dance is one of the pros performing. All right, have any ballroom dancers from SYTYCD not been on DWTS?

Results again: Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke are safe. This means that Team Tango is safe.

After the break, it's time for the pros' competition. Is anyone really excited about this? Afton and Genya do the quickstep, and the judges pretty much loved them. Mayo and Anya are next, doing the jive. Judges loved that, too. Can I have my results, please?

Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas are safe, leaving Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough and Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani in the bottom two.

And the ousted couple is: Chuck and Julianne. They've done better the past couple of weeks, but I'm not totally surprised.

What do you think?

Thank you, I always look forward to your blog since I am out here in Seattle. I thought it might be Ty going home this week, Chuck had been doing a lot better, and even though Melissa didn't dance, we ALL know her fan base is HUGE..

I am another westcoaster thank you for saving me from watching the results show.

I thought Melissa should have gone home. She is only famous for her being heart broken on tv. Chuck Wicks is famous for talent that he actually has. And not only that, but he had been growing through out the show. I didn't think Melissa was growing at all. She was about the same. Not only that, but she already had dance experience. It's just my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own, but again; I think Melissa should have been to one to leave this week.

TY MURRAY DEFINATELY SHOULD HAVE GONE HOME.MALISSA AND GILLIS ARE THE BEST DANCERS IN THE ENTIRE COMPETITION.MALISSA HAS A HUGE FAN BASE AND WILL END UP TAKING IT ALL.IT IS NOT GOING TO MATTER IF SHE IS HURT OR NOT.SHE HAS TO WIN THIS AND THE ENTIRE WORLD IS BEHIND HER.

I am surprised. I do like Ty and Chelsea, but I thought they would be going home. He's so variable in his performance power. And Chuck has been doing so much better!

Thanks for breaking the news gently. I watch online (out in Seattle, too, actually) and so I don't get to see the results show until Wednesdays.

Chuck thought he was going to dance as good as Giles but his motor mouth did better than his feet==love is not always the answer==talent comes into this==Julieanne did what she could but he was not as good as he thought he was

It was time for them to go!!!! I didn't like either of them this season.Think both of them were in it for themselves and career.Julianne is adorable, but making us vote for her boyfriend "Not Cute".

I think the right couple were elimated even tho Chuck has been much better. It is getting a lot harder. I love Ty & Chelsie & Ty is so cute & so much looser now. Hate to see it end.

OMG!! very surprised. Chuck and Julienne are one of the contender. So, Soo Sorry!!! I thought it would be Melissa and Tony.

What. A relief! No comparison between Melissa's dancing and Chuck's, inasmuch as Chuck has really improved.

I was seriously nervous. I enjoy watching Melissa's dancing over all the other contestants though Gilles is a close second.

I'm still waiting to catch the episode online and I am glad I found this, so thanks.

Honestly. She is the dancer I look forward to watching each week, and it's purely based on watching performances. Just one lil opinon out there.

I am shocked about the results on Dancing with the Stars. If Melissa couldn't perform this week whats to say she is going to be in better shape next week. This was a sympathy save.

that was sorry i think that shawn johnson should go home she thinks why to much of herself and i really dont like her.

Good. I was tired of seeing them sleezing all over each other. Its nice that they are a couple...but some things need to be left for the bedroom.

I love Ty but am surprised he is still there - Chuck is a much better dancer. Don't understand the deal over Lil Kim or Melissa either. Goes to show it's just another "popularity" contest.

I was surprised at the results on last nights show. I thought Lil Kim should be going home she has dance experience tire of hearing about all her woos. I love Ty what a pleaser to listen to him after the competion very humble man, very much a gentleman

Ummm...Hello, yes its a popularity contest ! Why do you think the fans get to vote.

I love Ty, but I do know that out of all the ones left, his dancing sucks...BUT he has a pretty large fan base himself. It will come down to who continues to have the fan base and who really wow's the rest of the TV viewing land.

Melissa does perform well, however, others that have had injuries have dropped out or voted out. I do not feel she should have been allowed to continue. Not fair to others !!!!

I think Melissa should go home. I do not think she will make it because of her ribs. I am glad that Ty is still in it. Julianne and Chuck were getting better but she is kinda of silly acting at times to giggly. She needs to stick to dancing she is much better at dancing than singing. I hope Shawn and Mark win.

Chuck and Julianne should never have been allowed to dance as a couple. I had heard she would not be returning this season then there she is with a real life boyfriend in tow. Makes ya wonder if his being included was the price DWTS paid for her return. If it was, they should have let her go!

I guess I'm in the minority here in thinking that Lil Kim may win the whole thing. We have loved Julianne in the past, but didn't understand Chuck's appeal at all.

I felt Melissa should have another chance as she has been awesome; however, if not able to dance next week, it seems only far that she not go on. I love watching all the dancers and don't want to see any of them go especially Shawn and Gilles! Ty is such a likeable guy and has improved so much! What a class act he is. I love this show; Tom is the perfect host!!!

I really thought it would be TY. I have to say, I think Chuck was doing much better. I am a little shocked that he went! I really like Shawn and I think her, Gilles and lil Kim have a shot at it. I think Melissa's injury is going to keep her down. Just one girls opinion!!!

I'm sad it was not Melissa that went. What if she is still injured next week? Plus she is not a STAR. She is a dump'ee... I think Ty is improving every week and is doing GREAT. I don't think he will win, but I think he is improving.

Melissa should have gone home ...its not fair she has prior dance experience. Plus for someone who was so badly injured she was perfectly fine the next week.
